This place rules. It’s a millennial paradise. Everyone looks so cool. The pastries are literally excellent. It’s not expensive. The music is jammin. I mean, I could go on. AND it’s unpretentious.

Best show in town.

Good bread , sandwiches are not organic, you may need a second mortgage to pay. $7.50 for a small slice of pizza????????

Got the tomato chutney, chocolate croissant, sourdough.

Sourdough was sourdough.
Tomato chutney sandwich was good not great. Baguette was too burnt/crunchy for my preference and I think the sandwich would be better off heated/closer to a grilled cheese.
Chocolate croissant was overbaked as most of pastries looked. I think a few minutes less in the oven and it would be perfect.

Loved the ambiance and the concept. Not sure id revisit as Im not a fan of the overbaking but if they solved that would probably love this place.

This bakery opened in 2023. There's also another location in Gastro Park West Hartford. This location in Avon was very cute. There were some seating and service was good. I know they're known for their baked goods, sandwiches, and coffee.

On this visit, I ordered some treats such as chocolate chocolate cookies, muffin, and croissants. They're known for their sourdough cinnamon rolls and croissants; it usually sells out quickly. What I've tried was very good and can't wait to go back and try out more of their stuff.

I went here for the first time today and I wish I had known about it sooner! The coffee and food were excellent. I love that their syrups are house-made and that all of the bread is sourdough, which is such a rare and high quality touch.

The shop was very clean, with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. The parking lot had plenty of room, and the entrance was stroller friendly, which I really appreciated.

The staff was absolutely outstanding. Every single person I spoke with was beyond friendly, helpful, and kind. They truly made the experience feel special.

What stood out the most to me was the quality. I feel like it has become harder to find places that prioritize fresh, high quality ingredients, but Small State Provisions absolutely delivers on that.

And as a dog owner, I especially appreciate that they welcome dogs. It is rare to find a place that combines pet friendly policies with such excellent quality across the board.

I will definitely be back again and again. Highly recommend!

I had gotten the chocolate chip cookie and plain croissant for me and my sister, after paying $8 for just the two items, we got home and were disappointed by the cookie but the croissant was pretty good.

Five star coffee, food, service, prices, five star overall. Plenty of seating, and parking!

Good matcha but 7.50$ for quite a small size is insane. I paid extra for strawberry syrup and could barely taste any strawberry at all??All for supporting small businesses but was there on Saturday and was standing there waiting while one person was in line in front of me. Literally one employee out of FOUR girls standing there was helping him while the other THREE were standing there talking. I literally was staring at them wondering when they were gonna look up and see I’m blatantly waiting for someone to take my order. To reiterate, there was only one person in front of me and no one else behind me. With three employees standing there having a conversation as I’m waiting to be helped. And the fact that you expect a tip on a $7.50 matcha when I stood there waiting while your having a conversation yet not a single one out of the three was aware enough to realize a customer is standing there waiting. As someone who works full time in the industry this is absurd.

Just tried the new location in Avon for the first time and already know I’ll be back. The staff was so warm and welcoming, and the outdoor setup is awesome, super kid-friendly and ideal for mom meetups or just letting the littles roam while you hang out. I only had their coffee this time. It was easily one of my favorites since moving to CT. I got a cold brew with homemade blueberry syrup in the cold foam...No notes. Obsessed. Can’t wait to go back and dive into the food menu next!

Incredibly delicious baked goods with both indoor and outdoor seating, some of which looks over the rolling hills – highly recommend a stop if you’re in the area!

Do NOT sleep on the curry cauliflower baguette sandwich. If you're looking for a savory treat - that's it! Like a bahn mi but better. Eveything here in general is fresh and delicious. They also do some interesting seasonal ingredient specials that are constantly rotating. Ginger molasses cookies also can not be beat here!
