The food is great, but @$17 for an egg, bacon and avocado sandwich is a lot.

The single handicapped spot has been removed and the establishment isn't mobility-limited friendly. There is a crowded one way ordering area that then exits you to the front of the building - away from the side parking lot.

There is step down at the exit that a wheelchair cannot safely navigate. If your a disabled walker- the exit location adds distance, a step down and sidewalk cracks.

To get out of this building in a wheelchair - the table area is so crowded - you would need to ask either seated folks to move so someone could push their chairs and leave through the entrance, or ask the waiting/ordering line to move - just for you to leave the establishment.

The tables are crowded. A wheelchair guest at the side of a table would block flow so badly it would be.... just embarrassing and uncomfortable getting bumped and huffed at for blocking the traffic flow.

Not at all wheelchair friendly and difficult if your walking and mobility limited. The one disabled spot that was there over the summer has been removed.

Super amazing breakfast sandwiches! Never had such fresh bread before! All the options for homemade syrups are amazing! We got the breakfast sandwiches and I got a cold brew with cold foam! Such an awesome coffee and bakery shop, the staff were all so kind and accommodating, sweet as their baked goods! Will be coming again!

The best sour-dough bread I’ve found this side of…anywhere, maybe. Sandwiches are great, too, and so is the coffee. Customers are a little snooty sometimes, but I guess that’s life in Avon. Owner Kevin runs a great bakery.

Truly a treat that tantalizes. The blueberry muffin and the ginger muffin are scrumptious. I picked up a loaf of the cranberry pistachio sourdough — it does not disappoint. My only gripe, which is actually a win, is that there are too many choices, but I guess that means I’ll just have to come back. Oh, and it’s the little things, like the NYT Arts section waiting for you at the end of the counter. Great stop. Thank you, Small State Provisions Team. Keep the goodness coming.

Hummus toast is *out of this world* -- Perfection! (also generally everything here is great - it's our favorite coffee spot in the area)

Overpriced for sure, spongy eggs not my type, minimal selection and if you take a peak (which is easy) a very dirty kitchen in the back.

First of all, check out Kevin the owner's reply to Derek's one star review, where he refuses to take responsibility for overworking his employees OR the unsanitary conditions that follow from these business practices. Now I am starting to understand why I had the experience I had! Profits over people :/

So! Their card reader wouldn't work for my phone and I had no cash or physical card. It wasn't working for another customer either but she had cash so she got her drink.

Four separate workers shrugged their shoulders about it as I walked out once and then again 3 hours later when I returned from my bike ride and the reader still wouldn't work. I wanted that iced coffee soooo bad ALL day and they just wouldn't go ahead and take responsibility for their card reader malfunction. Made me feel like a beggar being turned away in a time of need. I mean it's coffee, not life saving healthcare. First world problems, you know? But it was still humiliating.

I own a business myself and I can't imagine not giving a $5 purchase for free and simply asking the customer to pay me back later ESPECIALLY when there's a question about MY payment processing. I've done that many times for my customers and I'll do it many times in the future. As a business owner I know this costs me nothing but a good heart and a bit of trust. It's not like I had placed a $200 catering order that I couldn't pay for. It was a cup of coffee!!

On top of this rather shocking lack of generosity and trust, the lady cashier rather rudely pushed me aside to get to the next customer as I was trying to figure out how to pay.

I'll never be back but hey, the place was packed so good for Kevin. It seems like he may do well anyways without my goodwill or without respecting his employees or customers

Response to Kevin's response:

His place is on a new regular bike route for me. Had he apologized and offered a free coffee he would've received $5-15 a week for years. Now it's going to be zero and I guess he thinks this was a good business move.

Also, the lady cashier being rude was the least of my concerns. His way of conducting business is apparently what put her in that awkward position in the first place.

Feels like an extension of the community. Kids, elders, and interesting ppl seem welcome here. Staff is friendly and efficient; engage if sensed, and always courteous. Baguette is so lovely, well baked and still soft. Jambon beurre sammich makes my mother eat twice her normal mass for a meal.
