My first time coming here, it was actually really good, love the service and how the seating is spread apart with walls, great for people who likes privacy and more introverted.

Wow. Just wow. Phenomenal on all accounts. While very small venue, the food and service were outstanding. I love Thai food and this is in the top two for this region for me. They offer five levels of heat... I always ask if it is U.S. levels of heat or Thai levels of heat since the U.S. version of 1-5 is very mild compared to Thai 1-5. I usually go with level 4 and did so here. It is definitely Thai levels of heat! Started with chicken dumplings and shrimp summer rolls. The dumplings were next level tender and flavourful and the summer rolls I rate at 4 out of 5 only due to the wrap being slightly chewy. Otherwise they were also excellent. My main course was the Jungle Curry with pork. Everything was perfectly cooked and prepared. This version of curry is a broth base, not creamy, and had wonderful, full flavor. The spices did not mask the flavours but instead enhanced them... again, wow, so good.

Very good. Decent prices and good portion sizes. The duck is excellent.

If I could give them a higher review, I would. The delivery company never showed up and the person at the restaurant delivered it herself and was so pleasant about it and refunded all the delivery charges. The food is always delicious, but this was above and beyond

The waiting for the food is 3 times longer than regular restaurant. You have to ask for service. The waiters do not come to check up. You have to get up and go see them. But the food is awesome.

Takeout Review:

Somewhere in Bangkok is an authentic Thai restaurant located in Connecticut. They have locations in Avon and Southington. Thai food is typically very flavorful; they use multiple spices and fresh ingredients to bring out the salty, sour, sweet, hot and bitter flavors.

They have a vast menu with plenty of options and spice levels. They also offer boba tea drinks. It was a cold and rainy day so we decided to do takeout from there. I am usually a pad Thai or curry dish lover, it's my go-to, but decided on the chicken Pad See Ew this time around to mix it up. It's a stir fried flat rice noodle dish with broccoli, eggs, garlic, and soy sauce. The portion size was average and the flavor was robust.

Next time, I look forward to trying out their pad Thai, panang curry, sweet chili wings, and panang fried rice, to name a few. Overall, it's a great Thai restaurant offering quality ingredients and delectable flavors.

Let me start by saying, im an idiot. I called in an order and went to pick it up at 8:55pm, thinking they close at 10pm. I walk in, Madison the manager says “can I help you?”, I proceed to tell her I’m there to pickup my order. “Ummm, are you serious?”, replies Madison, to which I then realize I called their Southington location!!! 🤦‍♂️ here’s the point of the review, Madison offered to make the bobas, then checked with the kitchen and they were more than ok making the food, even after the kitchen had closed 5 minutes earlier. I love their food, Laotian cuisine is amazing, and I hope to try the whole menu soon. Incredible hospitality, ask for Madison, she’s the best! Can’t recommend this place enough, get the curry puffs and khao soi.

Worst experience ever. Wife and I walked in and I had to look for someone to seat us. My meal was a bowl FULL ot fried wontons with a small amount of seafood, a large amount of sauce, really gross. Then our waitress was outside talking with someone and I had to go and get her to get the check. Never again !

Very unprofessional … they made us sit for 30 mins and then asked if we want to cancel because the food will take another 15 mins.

A beautiful setting, a simple but elegant dining room, and great food.

Went here on an accidental Friday night date night and it was perfect.

The food was fresh & flavorful, and the fresh Bruce Cost ginger ale a unique touch that I enjoyed. It is so hard to choose which meal to eat. I could eat there daily! We had the spring roll, edamame, Pad Prik King, and the Bangkok Fried Rice. So satisfying!

For me, dining out is a chance to escape. To lose yourself in the culinary vision and artistry of someone, in this case Chef Chanya “Tookie” Siboriboun. This food isn’t just pushed out of a busy kitchen. It is meant to be enjoyed and to give you a window into the food of Thailand that Chef Tookie loves.
