We had a great time. The owner is amazing

As a British person (born and raised for 90% of my life), I was very embarrassed after bringing my American friends here.

I’ll start with the positive- the tea selection and teas themselves were VERY nice. The staff were also kind and friendly.

However, the actual food was terrible and NOT authentic at all. Dinner rolls? And cheese WITH jam in sandwich? I’ve never heard of such thing. It tasted as bizarre as it looked. And don’t get me started on the stinky cheese inside the prune thing. I gagged as I tried it. The scones were also dry and dense like hockey pucks, and the cream was not proper clotted cream. While clotted cream is not readily available to buy in the USA, it’s easy to make.

Overall, a proper afternoon tea should also be colorful, inviting, and tasty. Not dry, bland and beige.

It seems this place caters to unsuspecting Americans that don’t know any better, and no one has been honest enough to leave a negative review unless it was for poor or rude service.

None of my 5 friends in my group liked this place, including me. I would leave 2 stars, but my point isn’t to bring this business down, I write this is hopes they up their game…

Went for afternoon tea for my birthday. We had an absolutely amazing time!! The atmosphere was so inviting and cozy, the tea was delicious, and our tea time treats were absolutely delicious! Best 2 hours I've spent in a long time! Would 100% recommend

I was very disappointed as I planned an afternoon tea for my daughter and her mother in law and a few members of the bridal party following a special time of picking out her wedding gown. There were 5 of us. We arrived 5 minutes early and had to wait outside, once seated it took about 20 minutes for us to get tea…it was followed by a single crustini…and then we waited. And waited and waited. It was nearly 3:30pm. An hour and half and we still did not have any food served to our table. I was under the impression that the woman/owner was a one - woman show and was cooking, serving, cleaning…we were all very disappointed with our experience. And the woman was not even giving us any idea of why the delay.
At one point my daughter went to ask for some honey and the woman scolded her. We decided after not receiving any attention we were going to leave. She was no where to be found. So we each left money at our seats and left. Because she had captured the credit card with the reservation, she ended up charging $58 on the card!! Hopefully the owner makes good on refunding the $58. My daughter will be asking for that tomorrow. If she does the decent thing, I will repost. It was the poorest experience possible when you were looking for a relaxing and fun afternoon tea.

This place is SO charming, and the woman who runs it is kind, patient, and unbelievably talented with her flavors! You can request a place to sit that isn't too loud, too, if you struggle with auditory processing or sensory overwhelm. This is a wonderful date spot, or for special events like Mother's Day, anniversaries, birthdays, etc. Highly, highly recommend!

Beautiful and relaxing space for a little tea and convo. My sister and I enjoyed our time at Take Tea and the lovely decor and atmosphere. Anu and her mom and our host Josh were all wonderful and I highly recommend a visit. I can’t believe we got super full off the tasty treats that were well prepared and beautifully presented to us. I especially appreciate the care taken for my gluten free needs. My sister and I also both purchased tea to take home and I can’t wait to go back soon. Thank you for the amazing service to Take Tea team. 🩵🩵🩵

Horrible attitude

We went here for a lovely date and enjoyed ourselves immensely. There's not many tea places nearby like this which makes it extra special. Anu made the experience amazing. A very kind person! You can tell the food is made by a very knowledgeable cook and well thought out. 5/5

My daughters and I had a wonderful time here! The food was absolutely delicious and very filling. And the owner is a joy to talk to! She really has a passion for this work, and it shows. I highly recommend Take Tea!

I am a self-proclaimed amateur high tea connoisseur, and I have been to places all over the country and even the world. And I have to say that this tea shop is by far the absolute best I have been to in this country!!! The food is OUTSTANDING, truly, every single bite is a symphony of flavors. The theme tea nights are SO fun, such beautiful decorations and themed foods, fun trivia and well crafted experiences. And the customer service is phenomenal - they truly go above and beyond to make sure that you have a wonderful experience from the get go. The owner left a very steady career to take over this tea shop and follow her passions, and I am so grateful that she did because we have found our new favorite spot! Even being an hour and a half away, we have come twice just in the past two months. Cannot recommend highly enough!!!

This experience was excellent! Throughly enjoyed tea time! Food was amazing! Tea was hot! Service was impeccable! I love this place and I highly recommend! It has a wonderful atmosphere to celebrate something special or just a great place for tea and conversation.
