I just noticed that Google still has my review from TWO years ago! Guess it is time to update! I just want to ask everyone; in this crazy time we are living in; isn't it a huge comfort to know that the one place you know you could go; that one place that offers calm, friendliness, great service and a fantastic cup of coffee to top it all off, is always going to be around? Well thankfully it seems it will! The Coffee Trade is the best for a reason; they put us the customers first; they treat us with respect, friendliness, good service and care; they have a TON of flavors available, so they just cannot be beaten!! They were not voted "The Best Coffee In Hartford Seven Years In A Row!" by CTNow for nothing!! Thank God they are here... It makes this whole crazy world scare just that much easier to bear with!! Thank-you Coffee Trade!

This place is unique and chic. It opened in 1985; there are 80 varieties of coffee beans. Not only do they serve coffee, tea, and coffee beans, they also sell antiques. They roast their coffee beans right onsite since 1989. The employees were friendly and service was great.
They had so many flavors to choose from. The latte list was super extensive. I got my honey latte and it was perfection. We sat at one of the tables in the back and enjoyed our drinks and pastries; I got a cranberry scone and my son had a cookie. The flavors were fresh and the prices were super affordable compared to other coffee spots. This is definitely going to be my new go to coffee shop in terms of value and quality!

I work not too far from here and often smell the beans roasting, but I never had the chance to stop in. Today, I visited for the first time, and I'm so glad I did. The owner was very kind and took the time to explain the different types of available coffee, even providing a sample based on my preferences. There are two rooms in the back where you can relax and enjoy your coffee while browsing antiques for sale. There is also an outdoor seating area. I got an iced dirty chai, which was excellent and perfectly sweet. This will be my new spot for coffee beans and a delicious drink. You can't beat the prices, and there's enough variety to keep everyone happy.

Good afternoon folks! With Starbucks in Avon closed for construction, I’ve been a the hunt for a new coffee place. Yesterday, I tried Coffee Trade for the first time. I was beyond impressed. The coffee was delicious and made with on site roasted beans. The prices are extremely reasonable, way cheaper than Doms or any competing shops. They had countless exciting flavors, I want to attempt to try them all. The atmosphere was so great and unique. And, the employees are truly fantastic and helpful. It’s hard nowadays to find a business with strong morals and sense of community. I felt immediately welcomed at Coffee Trade. I went back today and once again was impressed. If you haven’t tried this place yet and are a true coffee lover, it’s worth a visit. Their outdoor patio is also lovely and great to spend a relaxing morning. I’ll be sure to be back and make this part of my regular routine. My only regret is not trying it sooner 😂
What wonderful hidden gem. The woman behind the counter is a treasure. A friend of mine and myself need a place to have coffee and be able to linger. Just the spot for such a meeting. Next time we will have to wander around the inside to investigate all the wonders there.

Cozy little shop but the owner needs a lesson in social skills. Rude and snobby is not what you expect from a small business owner in these economic times. They also need to remove the Obama Blend from their menu. Is it there for political reasons? Cause he never did anything for Avon or the entire country in my opinion. There are better and more friendly coffee choices around.

BEST fresh roasted coffee around. This is not brought in from other roasters like most local shops near by, they roast everything fresh daily!!! Excellent atmosphere, quaint genuine coffee shop, you won’t find better coffee!!
