The burgers were very very good, and exceeded my expectations but the clams strips platter was way too small for how much it costs and and downright rip off. The price for 3 burgers (just the burger, no fries) 2 sodas, a milkshake and that shame of a clam strips platter was 57 dollars! It wasy first time there and as much as I liked the burger I can't say I'll be back because it's just too expensive and I feel ripped off.

Gooseboro Drive-In is an old-fashioned roadside food stand and a real part of the local history. It’s a destination, not just a stop. Great hot dogs, burgers, and ice cream. Midweek ice cream specials make it affordable to take the kids out for a treat. Most important? They’ve got good pepper relish. That nice spicy-sweet kind that actually sticks to the hot dogs. Hard to find that anywhere else. Classic spot that’s been doing it right for years. Cash ONLY but they have start taking Venmo also. No indoor seating or bathrooms.

My wife and I frequent this establishment we love the nostalgia of the restaurant we have been coming here since high school Although this type of restaurant is far and few in between the food is excellent and inexpensive it makes for a great destination for a date night or just a bite to eat

Without the owner working there, the food isn’t the same anymore. It’s a bunch of young kids running it. Don’t have respect.

It's a hot dog/burger stand, and perfect for what it is. Milkshakes are good, and everything I've had there is perfectly what it is. I often stop here on motorcycle rides, the driveway/parking is gravel but very well packed and solid. There are a number of picnic tables available. In addition to cash, they take Venmo payments too. Prices are right, they aren't too high or too low, and I don't feel uncomfortable or annoyed at any of them, which I often feel at other similar places. It's one of the fewplaces I regularly stop at, a must stop when I'm in the area.
Recommended dishes: Fish, Strawberry, Hot Fudge, Long Hot Dog, Famous Burger, Chicken Nuggets, Hot Dog

An absolute must if you’re in the area! The Famous burger and Famous dog are amazing, and if you like chili-dogs do yourself a favor and add that to the order as well. And of course don’t forget to grab a soft serve on your way out!

Went here for lunch multiple time I asked the young lady about an allergy concern for my child. And she went back and forth with the cook. I asked her to check the bread and she did. After about an hour of eating the meal that was confirmed a handful of times the meal didn’t have dairy in it my son broke out into hives and was throwing up and scream from his stomach bothering him. I called a talk to the owner and his bun was toast with butter after saying many time he was allergic to dairy. I’m very disappointed and will never go back due to the help not being able to one take a serious matter correctly by following and accommodate someone with a serious allergy. The owner did text me after I called question it offering refund his meal or give another meal free but we won’t be chance it again. And now my son suffers because of the cooks “mistake”.
