We hosted our 2023 holiday party at La Zingara Restaurant and had a fantastic experience. The food was delicious, authentic Italian, and beautifully prepared. Being located in the heart of downtown Bethel adds to the charm and makes it a great place for a special gathering.
The staff were incredibly welcoming, professional, and attentive throughout the entire evening. Their service made our event run smoothly and ensured everyone felt well taken care of.

La Zingara is now one of our favorite restaurants. We were planning to meet up in the Danbury area with some friends visiting over the holidays. Not knowing the area, I looked on Google maps. La Zingara was highly rated so we decided to give it a try. We had a fantastic meal and have been back three times since. The high quality of their food and service has been consistent and it's rustic charm is an added bonus. Their menu has a nice variety meats, seafood and pasta. My personal favorites are the grilled lamb chops, the mussels, escarole and beans and tiramisu.

My goodness. Hard to articulate the delight of our wonderful culinary experience. Ambience is soothing and calming. Our server Jamie was attentive and warm - the food is truly farm to table fresh, you feel alive after your feast, no food coma even after a several course spread. Prices are reasonable for what you get, most things are made in house. Easy to see how they have been la crème for over two decades and never skip a beat. A priceless gem.

Ate here the other night food was very mediocre and the staff was so incredibly hostile to not only us but an entire table of men near us it was disgusting the management was just as bad as the wait staff

One of the worst times I've ever had at a restaurant. The food was decent but the staff made us feel so uncomfortable and argued with us for simply taking pictures. The manager only made us feel worse and kept arguing with us the waiter came back and argued with us more and made us feel more uncomfortable it was a horrible time and I will never be going back and warn anyone that wants to have a good time not to go there

I went out with five friends to this restaurant to celebrate two birthdays. we were having a very nice time until the waiter and some other waitstaff started complaining about a person at our table taking photographs.. it made our entire party feels so uncomfortable that we called for the manager who came over and started arguing with us, adding he always has his employees back but basically didn't care what we had to say about how terrible our experience was. The entire evening was ruined and this was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. I will never be going back and warn anyone else that is looking for an enjoyable evening not to go.

Welcoming and lovely restaurant with a large room where they often have live jazz and then a quieter area beyond the large bar where you can relax and enjoy the delicious Italian favorites. These folks know flavors and wonderful service and it shows. The pastas, meat, seafood, and desserts are all delicious.

Stumbled on this great little spot in Bethel, Connecticut. Wonderful atmosphere. The bartender was really nice and accommodating and professional. We come to Redding annually to visit our brother and I have to say we'll return to LA Zingara. Try the calves liver. It's great.
