“My husband and I tried Bora Restaurant for the first time last night. It was excellent!! The food was delicious, the decorations were beautiful, the atmosphere was warm and cozy, all of the staff that we encountered were young but surprisingly all so very well mannered, polite and very nice!! Our waiter was Alton, he did a wonderful job and always addressed my husband as Sir. We would definitely recommend this restaurant!!”

“Absolute BEST Lebanese restaurant I’ve ever been to! Authentic dishes. Sooooo incredibly flavorful! You feel like a part of the family once you walk through those doors - make sure to taste the lamb special (my all time favorite!!) - it’s the owner’s grandma’s recipe and OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! (I don’t even like lamb but THIS dish is ABSURDLY delicious!!!) pay special attention to the huge pink pen at the register - haha my company pen!!”

“Famous Pizza is one of a few places in Bethel to get pizza. Many people must think the pizza is great based on the number of pizzas picked up in the short time I was there.

Crust and sauce are building stones needed for a great pizza. I had the thin crust (NY style) cheese pizza, with half onions. The crust was chewy and crunchy and made my tastebuds happy. The sauce is full of tomato flavor, seasoned just right and the sauce to cheese mix was just right.

They have a large menu, fair prices with nice and polite staff.
Not a lot of parking, but you can park in the back of the building.”

“I had the Neapolitan chicken sandwich, which was the best sandwich I have ever had in my life! The sandwich had chicken, basil, tomato, fresh mozzerella, dressing and roasted pepper.

The sandwich stayed in tact entire time because it had the proper proportions of everything and no one ingredient was overpowering. The ingredients were all very fresh and the chicken was bread nicely, not soggy or crispy. There was a light dressing, enough to give the sandwich more flavor, but just the right amount that it didn't make a mess. I highly recommend this deli if you have not eaten here already, and the Neapolitan chicken sandwich.”

“We absolutely loved visiting Cafe Duo while we were in Bethel for the week! The coffee was delicious! You can taste the quality of the beans. We also tried the gluten-free muffins and the overnight oats. Both were yummy! We enjoyed chatting with Victor, the owner and his staff Laura and Jessica were fabulous! We'll be back this summer!”

“Dr. Mike's Ice Cream is BY FAR the best ice cream I have ever had anywhere. No contest. I have been eating it for at least 25 years, and my conviction about this has never wavered. At all. Ever. I moved back to CT from Portland, OR about 2 1/2 years ago (lived there for about 5) and Dr. Mike's was prominent on the list of reasons I moved back. Portland is a food town, and nothing there is in the remote vicinity of Dr. Mike's. Salt and Straw, which has lines of customers around the corner in Portland, is NOTHING compared to Dr. Mike's. I just wish the new owner would pry the original recipe for blueberry ice cream from Robert Allison because Robert Allison changed it a few years before he sold and it is a pale shadow of its former greatness. The original blueberry was maybe the best thing I've ever eaten. But all the core flavors and many of the experimental new flavors are just phenomenal. Best ice cream on the planet.”

“My fiancé and I went here for dinner... WOW! We split our two entrees and ended with homemade tiramisu. (If you love coffee like me this will check every box). The Octoberfest Wienerschnitzel was incredible and flavorful. We loved how seasoned the burger was, and the cook was perfect. Overall, a truly satisfying meal and a new restaurant on our weekly rotation. Thank you, Putnam House!”

“Went here for brunch with some friends and ate at the rooftop. It was slow when we arrived because we ate at an off time but that made it better because it was such a nice atmosphere to chat and relax. By far some of the best things I’ve ever eaten. It was $27 for an appetizer, main course, and dessert which I thought was a great price. You won’t be leaving here hungry! I would definitely come here again.”

“It has been awhile (too long) since we’ve eaten at Portofino’s, just busy. It was very nice to be recognized and they were genuinly glad to see us “back”! Our dinner was delicious! I had the sea bass over risotto. The bass was cooked to perfection! And their service was excellent as always! Thank you for a wonderful evening! We highly recommend Portofino’s and we will definitely be back soon!”
