“Dr. Mike's Ice Cream is BY FAR the best ice cream I have ever had anywhere. No contest. I have been eating it for at least 25 years, and my conviction about this has never wavered. At all. Ever. I moved back to CT from Portland, OR about 2 1/2 years ago (lived there for about 5) and Dr. Mike's was prominent on the list of reasons I moved back. Portland is a food town, and nothing there is in the remote vicinity of Dr. Mike's. Salt and Straw, which has lines of customers around the corner in Portland, is NOTHING compared to Dr. Mike's. I just wish the new owner would pry the original recipe for blueberry ice cream from Robert Allison because Robert Allison changed it a few years before he sold and it is a pale shadow of its former greatness. The original blueberry was maybe the best thing I've ever eaten. But all the core flavors and many of the experimental new flavors are just phenomenal. Best ice cream on the planet.“

“I don't want to give a low rating based on the vegan option but I am confused by the other reviews about it. The staff was very nice an friendly. I do applaud the owners for having vegan options but maybe look for a different soft serve brand (there are some good oat ones out there).

We stopped here specifically for that because it is hard to find soft serve almond based vegan ice cream (and I can't have coconut). We got the chocolate and vanilla swirl and it was honestly flavorless and inedible. I am not sure how people are raving about it. It was pretty much soft ice. It was so cold and icy that you could not eat it and there was zero flavor to the vanilla. It was bright white like an ice cone.

I should have asked for a taste first so my bad but just wanted to let other DF people know not to expect a creamy soft ice cream.“

“This was our first time here since FLOBEE‘S reimagined itself. What a wonderful place. Besides their amazing selection of ice cream and food, they have an incredible seating area with eight tables and benches, clean bathrooms, a station with extra napkins, cups, and bug spray! “This place is amazing, I stopped to get some ice cream for me and my friend and got the best costumer service. it was the best, they always remember know your oder which is surprisingly outstanding for ice cream shops and all the people are so loving and the manager was so kind and caring he greets all the customers with a big smile 😊, very good manager. The team looks like a family all coordinated and caring and surprisingly very quick. The ice cream was good I got a banana split and the flavors were out of this world. Even though I got there after hours they were so loving that they attended me and still gave me the same quick customer service
