“What a pleasant surprise! After a search on Google Maps for a restaurant with vegan options, we made a detour from our road trip to the Catskills to stop at this Middle Eastern restaurant. My husband and I shared a VEGAN Mezza Special (12 plates) for two: Hommous, Baba Ghannouj, Tabbouli, Stuffed Grape Leaves, Falafel, Luby (Green Beans), Spinach Pies, Foul (Fava beans), Moujadara (lentils), Mousakaa, Fattouch (salad), Olives. We have dined in other Lebanese restaurants in the US and in the Middle East, and we both agree that the quality of the food in this restaurant surpasses them all. We were served by the owner Maha Hanna, who told us that her husband is the chef who created our delicious meal. We will most certainly be back whenever we are in the area!”

That chicken is the bomb of all chicken from all over the world that we tasted. Staff are awesome too.”

“The food here is amazing. I have never had a bad meal. Portions are big, so usually leftovers for another meal. Specials every week. Steaks, seafood and specials are amazing. Friendly staff and bartenders are great!! Drink specials are very good but my preference are the martinis!!”

“Gisellas has been our favorite go to Italian restaurant in DANBURY since it opened. Food is always delicious and consistent and the wait staff couldn’t be more accommodating. Unfortunately last night we had a different experience the moment we walked in the door. Hostess was very unfriendly and dismissive, no eye contact and acted like she was doing us a favor seating us! Thankfully, like always, the rest of our dining experience was amazing!”

“I was in from NC visiting my daughter. We ventured over next door to this amazing little, eclectic coffees, pastries, and more shop. I had the most amazing Chai latte with Kaluah and a scrumptious cheesey eggs plate, then a passion fruit mimosa to die for. If I could give this beautiful little place a million stars, I would!! I highly recommend it and hope I get the chance to revisit soon. Great staff, beautiful ambiance, wonderful experience, amazing food. Couldn't ask for a better introduction to Danbury, Connecticut!”

“Shockingly good burgers here.. I don't eat fast food anymore unless I'm driving far and need to have a quick cheap hot bite to eat... I don't remember liking McDonald's burgers like the 2 cheeseburger deluxe we each ate. buy one get one for a dollar which at least makes an attempt to be cheap. Otherwise those are $3.30 ea off the "value menue". I'm not sure if it's every McDonald's but the ones we were at wasn't clear whether you had to order on the touchscreen kiosk or were able to get someone to take your order at the register there was a football night in the town we were passing through and the place was packed with high school kids. This is probably to our benefit as what we ordered clearly just was made seconds before. And while frazzled, the staff we're friendly and professional. again, not a big fast food consumer... but it definitely seems as though McDonald's got an upgrade over the past few years. As silly as it would be to read all of this for a McDonald's, such is my writing this about a McDonald's..”

“Some friends and family went out for my birthday and I don’t know about those bad reviews but it was so yummy! We all enjoyed the all you can eat seafood. It had so much flavor and we weren’t rushed at all. The service was great, good portions for the pricing. They even gave me a free dessert and a cute keychain attachment. We will be going back again! :)”

“A breath of fresh air! I frequented this restaurant as a child and still remember getting glass coke bottles and eating a slice of pizza with my mom. I thought I would pop in and see if it bared the same resemblance or if it was all different. To my surprise it was the same lovely place I had visited 20 years ago as a kid when I would walk up Lake ave after school. They said they just hit 30 years and it's the same owners. So many places in CT treat you like you're a burden when you walk in. I walked in not knowing if we would have lunch there because it's a smaller restaurant and I have two kids. I expected to get some sort of attitude or confused look from the staff but right away I was greeted and the woman up front was eager to help me. I explained my situation and she right away asked her family who were having a meeting at the table if they could move to the back so that my family could come have dinner. She set up two tables for us and the whole staff was friendly and patient with my wild boys. My boys began fighting over an apple juice and one gentleman was kind enough to give me another on the house. The gentleman making the pizza was kind and courteous. You really don't find places like this anymore.. everyone is in a rush, they just want to get paid and get you out, but not this place. It's a traditional family style restaurant. I left feeling so happy with finally not feeling like it was an inconvenience to serve me as I often find now'er days when we're out spending money. They were happy to have us and if we are in the area again we will go back! Thank you guys so much! <3”

I’m in a one-month vacation at Connecticut and me and my boyfriend have come to this restaurant 5 times already!
The servers are always super nice, attentive and professional.
They have a bar, and would always make me virgin drinks that were super yummy!
I got to try mexican food I wasn’t familiar with, some of which just wasn’t my taste, but the experience is worth a try!
I also recommend tres leches for dessert, it was sooo good”

“I say yes and no to recommendations. I recommend only the burgers. Don't order the chicken sandwich. Today we tried chicken sandwiches. Big disappointment. Menu picture looked great. Nice chunk of chicken on a fluffy roll. What we got resembled a chicken cracker on a smashed roll with a smear of mayonnaise and 3 slivers of pickle. I've been there 3 times now and the staff messed up orders all three times. Not just mine, but other customers as well. Although the will do their best to rectify the mistakes.”

The description says "tangy and spicy kimchi paired with marinated beef garnished with sesame seeds and scallions accompanied by tofu slices" I only received the kimchi. There was no beef or tofu. They should update the description!!!!

I gave 4 stars because the food was delicious. Loved the kimchi as it was very fresh and loved the sushi roll I got as well. Just very disappointed I didn't get what was advertised.”

“I was super hungry and wanted something for lunch nearby. A lot of places charge around $30 after tax and delivery fees if you’re getting delivery. I saw Capers Deli on DoorDash and decided to give it a try. The Caesar salad was incredibly fresh and delicious, with perfectly portioned dressing. The Cajun fries were crispy, well-done, and packed with flavor. I was very pleased. Capers Deli is a must-try; you don't want to miss out on this gem!”

“This deli is AMAZING! My husband and I have been going there since the first week Luis opened. We eat there at least 2 to 3 times a week either lunch or breakfast. His food is outstanding, especially his fried chicken, his breakfast wraps and my husband loves his Challah French toast. He will make you anything you want, he’s very accommodating. He has exceedingly large choices on the menu. He is friendly and always greets you with a smile. His prices are more than fair. If something comes, not quite the way you wanted it, he will make it right no questions asked. In any business, small mistakes are inevitable. Just let him know and he will fix it. We highly recommend you go there for breakfast or lunch, you won’t be disappointed. Portions are large the food is delicious and price is right. What more can you ask for?”

“First time customer. The salad I ordered was huge, very filling and low calories. The place was very busy on a Friday evening, really hopping, but service was good. We ate inside but there was excellent seating outdoors too. Of course after saving all those calories by eating salad with chicken, I convinced myself to have some delicious cheesecake for desert. “We ended up here kinda randomly, but this place was PHENOMENAL. This place reminds me of a classic old scool steakhouse and Everything was excellent. Service was top notch. Food was hot, cooked right, came out quick. They had an awesome salad bar, that was included with our entrees, that had Everything I wanted. Surf and turf was 10/10. Burger was one of the best my friend had. Regular fries and sweet potato fries were excellent. Mac n cheese was great. I had a wonderful time here. Prices were very fair. Would come back for sure!”

“Overall, it was a great place to take a Saturday drive with the family (3 kids & 3 adults). Plenty of seating when we arrived. I opted to travel 1hr oppose to the 30-40 minutes to the one located on the 87. We would come back, but for the price, I would go down the road and get a rack of ribs from the BBQ spot that smoked their ribs. (Overall price because it said person below, around $80 for 6 people)

Parking: I'm not sure if the holiday weekend affected the parking or probably the time of day, but there was plenty to choose from, especially in front of the building.”
