The crew and I heard about a new barbecue spot all the way out in Danbury, CT so we packed up the whip and shot out there! Here's how it went at Farmboys Smokin' BBQ!
Atmosphere/Appearance: Set right on South Street with its own private parking lot is this gem. What looks like a seemingly medium-sized house on the side of the street is this unique spot. My husband and I stopped in yesterday. after going to a book fair in the area I had The brisket grilled cheese with the french fries and it was absolutely amazing. I will be back very soon.
The interior was perfect for a barbecue restaurant and I believe it was The owner who is also the cook, his mom and dad that were waiting on us. they were very friendly.
My son and I went to Farmboys on a Friday at 5pm. We thought we could avoid any rush - now we know why there was no rush. The brisket was dry to the point where I couldn’t even eat it. It was most likely good a day or two before. The BEST BBQ around is Hoo Doo BBQ near the corner of route 7 and 35 in Ridgefield! I will never eat at farmboys again - I liked it much better when it was Michael’s II…..
