This used to be my go to coffee stop on my bike rides to Bethel. However, in the past year or so, the quality of the service and coffee has significantly declined. The only positive aspect is the nice outdoor seating. Another coffee shop recently opened nearby with good coffee, pastries and a more welcoming staff. I gave Molten Java one more try today and will not be returning.

Love, love, love Molten Java! It is an experience for all of your senses! There are so many drinks to choose from and cute, eclectic gifts for everyone! The atmosphere is very inviting and the staff is super welcoming! They even have a rewards card that they stamp for each drink that you purchase! The prices are very reasonable as well! Highly recommend!

The menu is huge, the staff is incredibly friendly, and they even sell cool non-food items (tarot cards, incense, postcards, etc.) Very welcoming to all of the customers too!
Kid-friendliness: super kid friendly had several snack options for picky children and a shelf with toys and games on it.

Watch out for the cbc burrito..
My girlfriend and I came here and ordered breakfast, a coffee, and a smoothie. The smoothie was great and the coffee was okay. However, they mixed up the food orders and put guacamole on a bacon egg and cheese bagel rather than on the side of the cbc burrito, as asked. This would have been fine except…the burrito was extremely salty and the chicken in it was pink. Neither of us finished our meal. We would have liked to love this place due to it being a small business in a beautiful old house with very cozy vibes but unfortunately felt disappointed (and a little concerned, health-wise). Disregarding the above issues, the prices were very good.

Love their coffee!!
You guys are weird. You don’t serve veterans plus the coffee gave me had hair in it so it was pretty nasty won’t be here again.
denied service to a veteran. how can you deny service to somebody who already served you? isn’t your motto about equality???? stop with the double standards and the world will respect you for once

Being from the Brewster area, I’m always looking for a new coffee experience. I was planning on doing some shopping in and around CT, and decided to start my day off at Molten Java. The live music outside combined with the cozy, 70’s-style interior was a great start to my Saturday. This is definitely an enjoyable place to hang out, sip on coffee, and enjoy a book.
With all of that being said, I wasn’t overly impressed with the coffee here. I ordered a Blueberry Muffin and their famed Turkish Coffee—I couldn’t say no to hints of cardamom, cinnamon, and vanilla. While the coffee was fresh and quite good, I expected an exotic, spiced base, similar to a Chai Tea Latte. Instead, I got an average cup of joe that was good, but I wouldn’t be writing home about.
Atmosphere alone, I’d be happy to stop by Molten Java again. I’m just hoping the next time I stop in that I’ll be a tad more impressed with what they have to offer.

We told some people in a bar in VA we were traveling to this part of Connecticut and they told us we HAD to go here if we like coffee. It lived up to the hype.

Stopped in for the first time out of state & everything was great! The staff (esp. Ash) was welcoming and friendly. Everything I had was 10/10 (CBC & “My Charona”)! Peaceful and the perfect noise for a coffee shop!
