The restaurant was pretty empty but the waitress was horrible. Don't know where she would disappear but not good. She also added 20 percent tip to the bill that she didn't deserve. We've eaten there a few other times and are usually waiting for the bill for at least 15 to 20 minutes.

Not my favorite; I wouldn't go back. I took a date there for drinks and food. It's not much to see. There are better spots in Bethel. The pizza was super disappointing. And the owner seemed to be very negligent toward what was going on in his restaurant (And Himself); the service was horrible. And the staff had an attitude, my date was very disappointed, as was I. Never going back.

Edit: I don't know who James is, but I know my experience at this restaurant was very sub-par. If you're having staff trouble, that's another red flag I have no idea about. If I could give fewer stars, I would.

Solid local restaurant with an extensive menu that pleases everyone. The food is good, the service is always on point and the atmosphere is relaxed (unless they have live music which is cool!).

Restaurant looks beautiful walked into the restaurant area. The host basically was very rude and said sit wherever you want and then she threw three different menus on the table instead of handing one each to us and she threw them away where she was annoyed now with us, though place is very loud and also they do not have a wood fire pizza that is completely a scam. They have a brick oven with a gas flame in there and there’s no wood burning whatsoever.

I wouldn't say I'm a weekly regular at Notch by any means, but it is my preferred bar of choice in the Danbury/Bethel area and I'd argue that it's THE bar of choice when comparing it to the others. I've been coming to Notch ever since they opened and can easily say it's eons better than the prior two restaurants that used to be in this location. Want proof? Sure.

- The pizza is always great. Not interested in any of the premade ones on the list? No problem, they've accomodated us on multiple occasions to add/remove ingredients without an issue.

- The bars (inside and patio when it's warmer out) are always stocked with the best local craft beers, domestic stuff, and liquor so everyone can enjoy. Not a drinker? The mocktails are also phenomenal.

- The service has always been top Notch (huehuehue), whether it's table service or the bar staff. Shout out to Sean/Shawn (or however he spells it, sorry!) for holding down the bar, he's always killed it when we're there.

- They do live music on the weekends and all of the bands we've seen/watched were incredibly talented and always put on an awesome show. I believe they do weekly events too, but I'm not usually there at those times.

All in all, I love Notch and it always feels like home when I end up there. See you guys soon.

P.S. The disclaimer posted around the patio bar in regards to people complaining about the weather, bugs, the sun, etc. always cracks me up. People will always find a way to be unhappy 😂.

Very nice dinner. I had fish and chips and they were nice. Coleslaw was spot on I got the baked potato not fries and that was huge plenty of butter. The fish was nice only still covered with oil. To the point that the bottom parchment paper has standing oil. Also the exterior had a shine to it. Tasted good and had some crispness to it, just to much oil residue. Had a birch beer and chocolate ice cream to top it off.
Kinda surprised that they don't go with Feris Acres Creamery ice cream seeing how they are the next town over and local. But not my call.

I love that it's so nice inside. Very hip place and the nicest bartender kept filling my diet coke over and over for free. Very classy touch to keep customers happy. Karaoke night with Nick is very fun as well with friends. ⭐⭐🎶

Wonderful menu with many tasty options. Affordable and tasty! This has been our go to restaurant for years and it's always a good time. Relaxed atmosphere with good music, great food, a friendly staff and cold beers too. Cheers!

Used to be our favorite dive bar, The Spot. Now it's cleaned up and family friendly. Frequent live music which is a big plus. Food is fine. Large beer selection.
