We heard such good things about Portofino, so we decided to check it out for ourselves! The food lived up to our expectations - everything was incredible! The meat was cooked perfectly and the lemon sauce on the chicken francaise was flavorful. Every dish was perfect. We sat in the bar because we visited in the early afternoon. The staff was friendly. I’ll definitely be keeping this spot in mind when I’m in the Bethel area for fantastic Italian food!

Enjoyed a wonderful meal in the dining room. The exposed brick walls give it a nice cozy feel. I have a dairy allergy, and they were able to accommodate. The ravioli was delicious! Will definitely go again.

This is my husband and my favorite restaurant in the area! It is a gem. Everything is made at the restaurant from the bread to the pasta. The dishes are prepared with finesse and attention to detail. Some favorites are their ravioli, spaghetti bolognese, and veggie pizza which has yummy veggies. We are always treated very well and enjoy the atmosphere. I highly recommend! #bestdatenight

I’ve been going here for years. It’s a very cozy and warm environment. Every time I walk in, greeted by the waitress. The bar is huge and have every drink imaginable. The dinners are very good, I recommend the calamari is the best I’ve ever had. Will keep coming back for this quality food!!

Cozy and beautifully decorated for the holidays. The the food is so delectable you can feel the love that Rocco puts into his cooking, and the drinks are not only intoxicating but superb by Louie. Servers, alita and besa, always add warmth along with efficient service during Christmas time and the year. We love this restaurant tucked in bethel. Michelle and Tony

Just a warning: if you choose to order delivery from Portofino's, their chosen service, Slice, is not good. My order went to the wrong address. Worse, I called the restaurant to see where it was and the person brushed me off saying once it leaves the restaurant it is not his concern and that I ordered from and paid Slice, not him. But their website has the Slice link on it! Anyway, if you don't need the aggravation or attitude, don't order delivery from this restaurant.

We love the food here as it is always consistent. My favorite is the chicken piccata. We have also ordered, to go their meal deal when entertaining. This is not only as delicious as our dine in meal, the value for feeding every one is very reasonable.

We had been hearing such good things about Portofino in Bethel, so we decided it was time to check it out for ourselves! The food definitely lived up to the hype - everything was incredible! The short rib was so tender that it fell off the bone and the lemon sauce on the chicken francaise was flavorful. Every dish was executed perfectly, and the martini was great too. Loved the atmosphere - we sat in the bar because we came in the early afternoon but peeked in the dining room as well, and the staff was friendly. I'll definitely be keeping this spot in mind when I'm in the Bethel area for fantastic Italian food!

Last Thursday, our 1968 Bethel High School class met there. I was charged $27 for a double Tito on the rocks, I will submit a review on all available social media outlets....stay tuned.

Brought my family here on Saturday. Ordered Fried calamari, pizza, ceaser, seafood Linguine, chicken gamberoni, and papardelle. The food was phenomenal across the board. Louie, Rocco and the fam made us feel at home as soon as we walked in. Highly recommend.

Totally underwhelming food. The chopped salad advertised roasted sweet peppers and bacon - instead it was an unappealing mix featuring a ton of raw green peppers with tomatoes and no hint of bacon. The flatbread with heirloom tomatoes, mozzarella and white balsamic was barely edible. The flatbread was thick and also tasteless (needed salt?), had a minimal amount of melted cheese, and worst of all had what appeared to be sliced roma tomatoes with no flavor or juice as you'd expect from true heirlooms. The balsamic was totally missing in action. Atmosphere wise the blasting stereo music for early weeknight outdoor dining was super-loud and we had to ask twice to have it turned down. Won't return here any time soon.
