Went tonight to get some take out food. Drove 20 minutes to get there.. I placed my order for 4 Sycamore franks, baconburger and a steak burger. I repeated the order twice to the waitress to make sure the order was right.. I get the food, drive back 20 minutes to the hotel. I open the food, I got 4 plain hotdogs and my bacon burger had none of the mustard, ketchup, pickle on it.. They charged me $50 for 4 plain hotdogs and 2 crappy burgers.. Very disappointed as my wife have come here many times when we get up to CT to see family and the food is usually good..

This place is an hour away from me, but it was worth the trip!
It manages to recreate the best parts of the past while providing speedy service and delicious food.
The milkshakes are perfection! They are real and exactly what you should get at other places (instead of mostly milk).
Everything fried is done so very lightly, so it tastes both healthy and delicious!
We did not try car service, but may in the future.
If this place was closer to my house, I'd be here all the time!

So refreshing to see how beautiful the staff treat the customer What an amazing experience and wonder fresh food.. Why would you ever go to McDonald's for a fish sandwich when you have this spot Yes I had the fish sandwich and it was so good 👍 😋 the wings are also amazing 👏 🤩 😋 👌

Like many, I have visited the Sycamore since my childhood and this is the only place I will consume and thoroughly enjoy hamburgers! Now, as an adult I am curious why the owners have never done a partial renovation, yet retain most of the originality. I am mainly referring to the booth discomfort of my tormented gluteus maximus.
I always enjoy coming here. Great food, kind staff, and local.

I've been going to the Sycamore for yrs. I came to bethel to vist family and we stopped in and let me tell you this is disappointing. I paid $72.00 for 3 plain hot dogs,a clam basket and two large sodas., MIND BLOWN. The quality has gone down!!
Such a fun spot! Yes, Drive-Ins still exist 😃 One pulls up and flashes the car lights and someone comes for your order. We, however, ate inside at the counter. Service was defiantly and fast. The Dagwood Burger was outstanding, as were the fries. Spend some time looking around at all the articles about the place. Like a little museum!

It's a traditional New England diner, counter and table service, food is fine but the home fries were a bit lacking, they needed more time on the flat top. This might have been a time of day things. Others got pancakes and they looked cooked perfectly, although they were disappointed there wasn't real syrup. I got 2 eggs overeasy, which were cooked perfectly, but some how ended up at $14 for a supposedly $9 meal (maybe water is $5?).
