We used to go for the amazing juicy delicious burger ! And fries aswell . They changed the menu and now, the burger is made with 2 small patties . Hopefully they bring the original one back !! But good people and good vibe so far :)

Fantastic food in a great atmosphere, I wish more people would come here and enjoy. The service was super helpful and nice, but slightly slow when it got busy. I can't wait to come back and have some more tasty dishes!

My family and I ate here tonight, our server Ash was great. However, we ordered two Hamachi entrees and we both disliked the fish (dry, bony, fishy) and didn’t eat it. Everything else was amazing. But when we spoke with the manager, she insisted we should have told her right away (which is fair but not the point) and did not offer anything to make up for it so we ended up paying $60+ for meals we didn’t eat. We would love to support this local business but are hesitant to return because of this disappointing service from the manager.

I had the pleasure of stopping in your restaurant not to long ago and asked for a lucy burger but decided to get just fries and aoli because the waitress was not very nice. I was just there to eat and when I was going to pay she wanted to drop pencils in front of me and i was offended . NEver do that again . Otherwise I will point and shoot

Service was excellent! Maura and the team were very helpful and attentive. Menu was fresh and unique. We had several apps including tomato toast, cukes & melon with feta, tuna and venison tartares and ribs - all very tasty. Food and fun drinks were top notch. We had an early dinner and noise level was great for conversing. Very clean establishment and good vibe. Maybe a bit pricey but worth it. Recommend to give it a try.

We had a great dinner at Taproot. I would have given it 5 stars except for the dessert, olive oil cake, which was tough and grainy. However, the mussels and burger were excellent. Beet salad was delicious and sourdough bread was too.

We had a wonderful experience at the tap room the other night.. The drinks were unique and delicious as were our appetizers and meals. It’s been a while since I have been to a restaurant where I enjoyed myself as much as I did at the Taproot. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend it.

It’s so important when you are going out to enjoy yourself and to have someone take care of you especially when you really don’t get out that much!! Thank you for a great night!! ?

We had 5:30 p.m. reservation so place wasn't crowded. Everything from food to service to atmosphere was excellent. Food was great the last time I was there but even better this time.
Parking: Free parking in back if you arrive early enough. Some metered street parking. Or parking in lot across street behind movie theater.

Really good food, very creative. Nice to see such a menu locally! Service was top notch, very friendly and helpful. Restrooms should be updated, as they don't go along with the vibe of the rest of the place. Overall, one of the best restaurants I've been to in CT!
