I had a sfogliatel at their booth at the Amore Italian Fest in Stamford, it was the best sfoglitel I have ever had. I can't wait to visit their location in Bethel.

Incredible wedding cake made by Varano! We got a vanilla cake with raspberry filling. It was beautiful and delicious. The baker was excellent with communication and made everything super easy. Couldn’t be happier

Let me start out by saying I have always had great cakes and pastries at Varano's, but when I ordered a carrot cake for my daughter 's baby shower it was not a true carrot cake it was more like a spice cake. Everyone said it tasted like a gingerbread cake. Everyone liked it, but I was disappointed that it was not what we had expected. I did call the store and they said they do mix spice and carrot. So if you're going to order this cake it is not a traditional carrot cake.

Varano’s is our go to birthday cake bakery. Someone in the store suggested the chocolate mousse filling for cake a few years back and it really changes the game. We got a cake for my daughter’s birthday party recently and even the adults were coming back for seconds. Fantastic fantastic cakes. Plus you can pick up some delicious cookies or pastries when you go to get the cake! 10/10

This is my 'go to' place when I'm bringing dessert to someone's home. It has been for years. Their offerings are truly Old World Italian quality! A pound of cookies will run you $18. However, while pricey in comparison to supermarkets, you are getting a far superior product. Regardless as to what you purchase, the taste will be a treat for your mouth. There is a small section to dine in. They also offer a nice selection of coffees.
