Amazing service is an understatement. The new painted pony restaurant is an amazing place for people of all Ages with events all through the week such as trivia on Tuesdays and bands every Saturday this place has it all. The amazing menu is only beat by the amazing food options. The fries are amazing and while there are many pasta dishes the chicken parm in particular is amazing don’t listen to what the haters say the painted pony is an amazing place for you and the whole family. I will be coming back.Parking: Parking in the front and back no trouble getting in and out.

We were there this past Saturday. I ordered prime rib med/rare , with a baked potato and roasted root vegetables. (No Aju) my husband ordered pasta with bolognese sauce. We get our meal and I said to the waitress I ordered with no AJ and there is any. She looked at me and told me it was juice from the meat.I have had it there before with and without Aju. Plus it was not med/rare. She walked away. My husband said his pasta had so much basil in it that you could smell it across the table and he said that was all he could taste. I ate 3 bites of my prime rib and it was not at all what I ordered and it was so tuff I could barely cut it with the sharp knife. My roasted vegetables, was just carrots and you could barely get your fork in it. Went to open my baked potato and the foil was full ofany. ( that's why I don't ordered it with Aju. Needless to say we didn't eat the dinner !! Waitress finely comes over and said I will get you boxes, but didn't ask why we didn't eat anything. ( the bus boy asked) and I told him. We get our check . Played for our meal and left the waitress with a $5 tip not 10 or 15 we would have left. Never going back. !!!!

If you are in the Litchfield CT area The Painted Pony Restaurant would be a great spot for lunch or dinner. The staff is great, service was excellent. The menu had any number of choices including steaks, seafood and pasta. The stuffed scallops were tasty and my wife had ravioli and short ribs also excellent. They offer a small and predictable wine list. I know folks are always interested in pricing. They were clearly a $$ category which is rare in this part of Litchfield where many restaurants are significantly higher.

Went for dj trivia, good fish and chips, and burgers and pizza.
I will start by saying the service was good and everyone loved their meals and cocktails. The band, "The Rakes" were outstanding. Great fun night. Only complaint was the seating on the enclosed porch at sunset. The sun at that time is very intense. Not trying to sound like an Old F, but one in our part has type 1 diabetes and I just had a cataract surgery several days before. This made for a very uncomfortable situation and we asked if they had a shade to reduce the glare that they do not. They must be aware of this yet have done nothing about it and that's a shame since it is a $50 fix. Also, due to the situation and due to benches at the table we asked for a single chair so one of the parties could sit not facing the sun that fell on deaf ears so we had to do it ourself. Unfortunate but will not prevent us from going again. Just need to listen to their patrons and communicate to management.
