I like this place. They are kind to me, the food is good, I can sit down and eat if I want, and unlike Jumbo Buffet, I don't feel like I'm being beaten out my money. There is still some integrity here. Thanks guys!

I would just like everyone to know, If you order from their website you have to request a stamp card when you order. Do not think that their system keeps track of the stamps, no no. They will not tell you anything about the stamps. You will not even get a stamp sheet if you don't ask. I bought over 7 lunch meals and its my fault I did not get stamps. The food is ehhh. They are really cheap but it is also reflected in the quality of the product.

Do not order here. I used to eat here all the time, I grew up eating here. I don’t know if there’s new management or something but, after the pandemic they’ve gotten bold and disgusting. First they stopped serving me a good portion of food. They’ve gotten very skimpy. I used to be able to share one box of chicken and rice with four people. Not anymore. Then tonight I received nasty looking chicken. A waste of my hard earned $25.

I don’t know what happened here but this use to be an old favorite of mine , simple order chicken wings, batter fell off , rice was off as well, this could not be the same owners. Thought was a fluke a few months ago but no food was not good.

Very decent takeout. Their crab Rangoon are little melt in your mouth experiences. Not crab heavy, just sweet cream cheese. The wonton is what makes them so good. It is not too thick. I havectried about 4 different menu items. All good. Hot sour soup is good.

I went to Light Star today February 9th, 2024 to pick up food for my son. While getting the food I heard a dog barking!! I looked through the 4 piece curtains in the kitchen and saw the lady petting the dog and telling him to shh.. I walked out with the food but decided against taking it home to my son. I returned for a refund and told her the reason was because of the dog in the back. She proceeded to get loud, told me that her dog is her baby. She told the cashier to give me my money back because they don't care about me. She kept reiterating that her DOG was her baby and she didn't care. I responded that I have a dog too but I don't take it to work with me. I also told her I'm calling the food inspector for her as I was leaving. Her daughter who was sitting in the front doing her homework started scrambling instantly to get her books and bookbag away. I saw them then take the dog and put it in a van to take home I assume. I will never purchase anything from LIGHT STAR CHINESE FOOD EVER...

Lightstar is my favorite restaurant here in Bloomfield. I’m always greeted with a smile and my food is always hot and fresh.

I stopped there because I heard they are under new management. I ordered BBQ wings with extra sauce customer service was a scale 1-10 a 4 I asked for extra sauce and she made me new sauce I appreciate that. But their wingsTasted Ok maybe it was too much sauce and they pass on the 25 cents fee for using your card under $10 which is against the law in CT.

Ordered general TOS chicken, it was chicken skin and fired batter, there was no chicken. I called and informed them of the matter. Someone who identified themselves as the manager called be back and inform me that chicken breast has to be requested if I prefer white meat. I attempted to inform her that there was no meat in the order only battered fried chicken skin. She did not allow me to speak she hung up on me. Don’t eat here.

The service I received was horrible. I order general tso chicken without peas. When my order was delivered the general tso chicken had peas. I called light star and stated my order had peas. The lady who takes the order was yelling and refused to correct the order. While trying to talk to her she was raising her voice over mine which is very inappropriate and unacceptable. After her screaming she hung up the phone on me
