“This review is for my takeout order of Basil Fried rice with chicken and a side of Chicken Satay only. I have not been to Thai Palace in awhile since I retired but boy oh boy my food was soooo good and the portion was great! It was made the way it should be. The rice was perfect not Shelly, it had a good portion of vegetables ( green/ red peppers, onion, scallions and some string beans) I wish I had a picture to show you but I ate it all 😂 My compliments to the chef. I usually get this at a place down the street, but if Thai Palace keeps making this rice this good - “ I will be back ! The chicken Satay and the peanut sauce to dip it in was awesome as well. Thsnks!!!“

“Good food. This time around the food delivered came out cold. Soup had too much salt in it. Rice and noodles were missing vegetables. It felt canned and not fresh. Best“

“This place punches way above its weight in taste and quality ingredients. I was blown away with the delicious delicate flavors or the lard nar and the perfectly crispy tofu. The coconut soup was a surprise winner with fresh veggies, white meat chicken, a little bit of heat and lime citrus in a fantastic coconut milk broth. The place is small and clean with the friendliest and attentive staff. Lunch specials were a great deal with the soup included. Kudos to the hidden gem of its easy parking!“

“Take-out food recommendation! Hot Basil Thai Food, 565 New Park Ave, West Hartford. Ordered three dishes at 2:15pm today for pick-up. Not only was the food OUTSTANDING, but the price SHOCKED me at how low it was. I guess the lunch menu prices is reduced. I will be doing this again, frequently. I've eaten there for dinner several times per year for years and never regretted it, but this blew me away, both the quality and price. Let's be sure to keep them in business with take-out orders!“

“I went in with low expectations as this is not a vegan restaurant, but exceeded my expectations in flavor. Really extensive vegan menu. Took pictures of every page. We ordered the fresh rolls adding tofu, curry puffs, hot and sour soup adding tofu, sriracha pad thai, and roasted chili and lemongrass stir fry. The stir fry and pad thai were next level, packed with flavor and heat. Before vegan, tofu pad thai was my favorite. Ordering it veganized without fish sauce or from vegan restaurants were always a dissapointment with dry, bland rice noodles. I stopped ordering it, but will have to get it here next time! Fresh rolls and curry puffs are delicious! Only thing that was not bad, but did not wow us was the hot and sour. It lacked the depth of flavor, richness you would expect from a tom yum soup. Overall, incredible. Highly recommend.“
