1st time loved the service food drinks and the atmosphere.

I stopped here with my mother for dinner. We were already impressed by how fancy and upscale it appeared. We were sat down immediately right by the pond and statue. The waiter came right over to take the drink order, proceeded immediately by the food order when he delivered the drinks.

I had 2 Philly rolls, a spider roll, and a rainbow roll. My mother had the sweet and sour chicken with pineapple. The display was amazing. Her food came in half a pineapple!

They checked on us concurrently throughout the meal at reasonable intervals. Even just bringing extra napkins before we even had to ask.
Overall it was fast, clean, with a wonderful atmosphere, and very friendly staff. Will definitely be returning at a future date.

Held a small work dinner here while a colleague was visiting from out of state. The food was mediocre at best — over-sauced but still pretty bland. The hibachi chef didn’t do much to entertain, which made the experience fall flat. We also weren’t asked about dessert or drink refills, and the staff hung around our table, which made things a bit uncomfortable. Overall, not an experience I’d rush to repeat. There's another habachi restaurant in town that I wish we chose, next time!

The space was really cool, I liked the big koi pond and lightning choices they made for the space. The food was all really solid and well priced. We did done in for sushi, but I would go again to try the hibachi table experience.

So if anyone knows hibachi its my big back self, i have been to 3 different hibachi places in the past 2 weeks. The food was sort of bland and the yumyum sauce tasted like mayo. The waitress did not refill our drinks, they charged an extra $4 for noodles which neither of the other hibachi places i visited charged extra for. The atmosphere was pretty nice though, which is the only reason i am giving it 2 stars

My granddaughters and I had a marvelous time. We enjoyed the Chef cooking in front of us! We had so much fun and the food is great (my coconut drink was excellent!)

The pad thai looked so pale like chicken Alfredo and tasted okay. Their pad see ew looked really good, but they use spice similar taste to szechaun

Poor, poor, poor customer service. I was waiting patiently to pick up my order from this establishment. A couple and a large family come in after me. Hostess totally ignores me and waits on the people after me. When I called her out for being rude she said "I" should be more kind.(?) and she can't "do everything." I told her I won't be back. It's too bad the food wasn't bad though both service and food are far superior at Kampai also in Branford right down the street. If you want to be ignored and then blamed for their bad service this is your place. It's too bad I use to be a good customer of 9 East but I won't return. They don't deserve the one star but that's the lowest rating I can give them. Before today I was a frequent customer but they lost my business.

Every time we go in we're rushed. The staff isn't friendly and when you're spending 300 on a meal (the entire grocery money for the week) you want to feel as special as the occasion. Won't be going back.

Wen is such a great waitress. If you go, ask for her.

Food and service was extremely mediocre. Prices that are high should reflect high quality food and service but this does not happen here. Atmosphere is great though as the place is quite beautiful.
