“We had a fantastic night at Pearl Wine Bar! We have never been before and sat on their beautiful back patio -- top notch construction, with a full bar w large granite counter, several covered tables, high tops and low comfortable chairs, and heaters (although we sure didn't need them tonight!). We had drinks, bread with honey butter (yum), and shared the shrimp tacos (perfect seasoning) and the honey chicken (the fries were delicious). Our server Alicia was outstanding, and the bus person was great too. A great new location for us in Branford -- we'll be back.”

But there is no room for discussion about the freshness or quality of food. For posting purposes, $20 is very inexpensive for the quality here. Totally recommend this place”
“Everyone kept telling me to visit this restaurant, and now I can see why! From the moment you walk in, you can tell that there are a lot of regulars, and everyone loves coming back repeatedly. it also feels like a very cozy family restaurant. We ordered so many dishes for our table to try and were not disappointed by any of them. We tried everything from the sake cocktails to the spicy mussels and of course a few different sushi rolls. All I can say is that the hype is absolutely warranted and I will be back for more!”
“Good flavors but the price is more reflective of their location because the portions were smaller than expected, even the included rice ran out quickly. And spice levels reflected the community they’re located in too, “medium” was a mild in other towns.”

“Stopped by today for the first time and was truly impressed! They used coffee infused ice cubes in my ice coffee which is super rare and I very much appreciated. The donuts were also incredible- super fresh tasting. The lemon donut was one of the best donuts I've ever tried- not overpowering and not artificial tasting. The service was also great. Will absolutely be back to try more stuff.”
“I found this place purely by accident but I'm really glad after passing it I turned around and went in. A real feast for the eyes, loads of choices. I bought a box of cookies, a bit pricey and unfortunately I myself never got to try them. What I did have was the Panini Meatball, it was fantastic. The gentleman that waited on me, possibly the owner, was very friendly. As I told him, I will definitely be back for more, and maybe even get to try those cookies!”

“Yesterday my wife and I had the pleasure of finding a new, to us, go to place. We were attending a Drag show that a friend of ours was a part of and we didn't know what to expect from a restaurant in and old gas station. Well hang onto your hats folks because you are in for a great experience. Jo, the manager has got to be the sweetest thing on this earth since sugar cane. She kept everything moving smoothly while having a constant smile. Kevin, our server, should give classes in how to be a waiter. Attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and again, smiling all the time. All that is well and good but how about the food? I ordered the "Hail Mary" bloody mary. On another day this could have served as my lunch. It is topped with the most delicious hamburg slider, with a side of a perfectly cooked bacon slice and two grilled shrimp. The taste of the burger had me looking for the charcoal grille. So, the presentation was great but the taste of the drink surpassed the look. I highly suggest you give it a try. I ordered the Valdese Burger for breakfast, Another perfectly cooked burger, topped with and egg and hollandaise with a side of a ton of tater tots, yes, tater tots. The waffle my wife had was cooked perfectly and she said the taste was outstanding. We live an hour and a half away, it is worth the trip. She also said, the coffee could make or break a good meal, well, this coffee just added to the overall excellence of the meal. The place was noisy which was to be expected due to the show being presented, Noisy, but, oh so much fun. The place is great. Make it a part of your "places to try" this summer. You will thank me.”

Two things that need some work to get 5 stars, one is staffing, on the Wednesday we visited only two waitresses were working the floor, including the bar and hosting. I've never waited so long to be seated when there was no line and tables were ready! Once seated waitresses was awesome but she was clearly overworked that night. Also we were surprised on how small menu was, not a fan of overly large menus but this did not provide lots of options. Also first choice of beers we ordered off menu were out. So cooks great, waitresses great, management, not so great.”

“I was there Friday 2.15 and the restaurant is very lovely and the service was great and the food was tasty and you can taste the fresh ingredients, I had the minestrone soup and the penne a la vodka, I was very happy with the flavors and the large portions..I will definitely be returning..it was 2 for $35 for lunch 2 appetizers, soup or salad, 2 entress and 2 desserts so I didnt end up using my Groupon..Riesling wine was delish!”

It came out piping hot after about 5 minutes of prep time, perfectly grilled crunchy butter toasted delicious bread, succulent and juicy pastrami, sauer kraut done just right, and whatever dressing that complmented overall taste. I savored every bite of this amazing sandwich as I watched people walking and doing their thing by the dock.”

“THE BEST ICE CREAM EVER!!!!! Literally ruined ice cream living in nyc I now am obsessed with Ashley's. Especially their blackberry ice cream flavor. And I don't even like blackberries but this is my new favorite flavor. You have to try it. It's delicious creamy and so so addicting. Defintely get a milkshake in my opinion thats the best way to experience it. I literally sometimes get 2. My one feedback is the staff is usually teenagers who hate their job and aren't very nice. I've been working since I was 16 and Defintely never had attitude but they do. But it's worth it for the ice cream. “This was a very well organized Dunkin. The ladies in charge were like an artillery battery in battle. Calling out timings, when they can take the next order, just a very well oiled machine it was impressive. The food was good and made properly. The prices were much better than NYC. We got 6 donuts, 3 bacon egg and cheese on croissants and a muffin, for less than $25 bucks.Good place to pick something up before getting back on the road”

The service is always kind've slow that early(not too many cars) but not too long of a wait most of the time. Two things that need some work to get 5 stars, one is staffing, on the Wednesday we visited only two waitresses were working the floor, including the bar and hosting. I've never waited so long to be seated when there was no line and tables were ready! Once seated waitresses was awesome but she was clearly overworked that night. Also we were surprised on how small menu was, not a fan of overly large menus but this did not provide lots of options. Also first choice of beers we ordered off menu were out. So cooks great, waitresses great, management, not so great.”

Our server the last time was sweet but we didn't see her as much as we'd have liked. The menu is standard nice Italian restaurant menu with a couple of Cafe Fiore specials. Again, solidly prepared. It is popular and usually busy, with a crowd mostly on the older side. Cafe Fiore is very comfortable, you'll enjoy your meal and you will be happy with the check. I will definitely be back. Very happy to have another local place to frequent!”

This is a local establishment that has many loyal customers, especially during Saint Patrick. They had eggplant rotini , it was delicious. They also had stuffed mushrooms. That were very good. They also had two versions of stuff, potato skins, and breaded fried fried chicken. They were good. Nice small local place to gather and eat good bar food.”
