“Love Italian pastry and don't have any good Italian bakeries near me. Arrived at 4pm and still had plenty to choose from. Spent $60 on 12 pieces of pastry and a bag of cookies. “I can't believe I had never visited Sugar before, but better late than never! My mom requested to go for her birthday, and this bakery is a literal cupcake heaven! The staff was super nice and let us take our time to look through the cases and decide what we were going to pick out for our dozen. So many festive cupcakes for St. Patrick's Day and Easter that we loved! We've totally fallen in love with this bakery and they're by far some of the best cupcakes in CT. “The shashukka is out of this world good. The little mushroom pastries are incredible. Their garlic knots are FANTASTIC. BUT I also had the gluten free pizza and wasn't impressed. The stuff on top of the crust was divine the crust itself was kind of a miss. It wasn't bad just uneven thickness and therefore it cooked unevenly and some parts were great and some were meh. Anyway get anything else and I'm sure you'll be happy!“

“What a lovely story of the beginning of a sweet little spot! The baguettes are absolutely perfect! The SCONES are a real treat! Coffee is flavorful and steamed milk with every cup! Hard to choose, although the grilled veg on focaccia and tropical salad are my go to. I once had a Tuna Nicoise Baguette it's still one of my all time favorite sandwiches! Of course the Service is excellent!“

“I definitely recommend Atticus Market! I had the mushroom sandwich which was so good. As a vegetarian, it can be hard to find good food of substance. This sandwich was well balanced and had good flavor! I also had a side of hash browns which are some of the best I’ve ever had - SO GOOD. My only complaint is that the store is cramped if there’s more than a handful inside.“
“A M A Z I N G!!! The food is absolutely delicious. My husband and I were down this was running errands. I decided to look on yelp and see what's good and what would peak my interest. I love a good empanada. Very small quaint place. No inside seating but on a nice day there was a couple tables outside. I ordered white rice and beans for my husband, who is super finicky. I ordered one shrimp and one chicken empanada, pernil on a roll and mango cheesecake. Delicious! My husband said it's the best rice and beans he's had in a long time. Empanadas full of flavor. I actually don't really love pernil because people cook it so dry. This pernil was so flavorful, moist and juicy. Delicious. The mango cheesecake was just the right sweetness. The sandwich I gave half to my husband so I'd have room for the cheesecake. The owner was so friendly and helpful. Food took about 7 minutes to prepare. If you're in the 5 highly recommend trying it out.“

“We love DiSorbo's! Those cannolis that you see were stuffed with care by Steve. We called and asked him if we could do a gender reveal cannoli, and he said absolutely. It was such a fun way to find out ourselves and then to share with our families. This is one of the best cannolis around the rest of the shop always smells good. They also have a truck. You can see at Events or rent. We go there not because it's just close to home, but because it's a really great experience every time.“

I got 6 ($15, which I felt was good) and she packaged them really nicely so they looked like a gift. She was super helpful and friendly while I was picking them. His baked goods are a lost art and so is the feel of his shop. It is as unique and retro as he is and that is a GOOD thing. He’s one of the few left that knows his customers by name as they walk in and strive to make sure everyone is treated well sure he takes weirdly long vacations and leaves hilarious messages on his phone. If you want Impersonal Dunkin baked goods baked in a factory in who knows where this ain’t it. He drove over an hour to pick it up and it was well worth the drive! We just picked up a Dacquoise. This one was a request from our daughter. We tried a smaller version that was in the case. It was absolutely delicious! So light and airy and the flavor was divine! We are driving this cake all the way to NC and are 100% certain that our daughter will be thrilled ! We are heading back in the beginning of April for a Marjolaine for our daughter in law. It is well worth the trip!!!“

“They make the best stuff breads around. They come in in aluminum bag, that you can bake them in. I had most of their breads and they ate all delicious. What I like about them they are full of filling from one edge to the other. You don't have to go to their bakery, instead you could pick them up in you local small market. I get mine fro T&J IGA on North High street, East Haven.“
