A few of the team members came to Luzara Sweets on Saturday, April 25, 2026, for a tasting - the cupcakes were delicious. We had 2) The TRIPLE CHOCOLATE & the RED VELVET, oh so MOORE AMAYESINGLY TASTY than I could have imagined & [the frosting] oh boy, just thinking of it, I can't wait to go back. Also, let me tell you about the SERVICE - It Was Fire - it's so refreshing to enter a clean establishment and to talk to someone who has complete knowledge of the product and is JUST NICE. “Let me tell you! If you love sweets, this is the place to go. I'm hooked on the sweet potato cookie. I'm from the south. My mom can bake, and she bakes the best sweet potato pie. I don't eat anyone else's sweet potato pie, but the filling in this sweet potato cookie tastes like my mom's recipe! Oh my taste like home and made me cry! This cookie reminds me of holidays at home. If they're hot, I devour one in the car before I even drive off! They go well with coffee or alone. She has other desserts as well. You taste the butter and love in the cookies! The cupcakes are moist and dee-lish! You are always greeted with a smile. I'm so glad I found this gem in Bridgeport!“

“I would like to share my recent experience at Saray Bakery. A couple of days ago I placed my order over the phone and went to pick up on Thursday. There was a mistake with my order and it wasn’t ready. The employees seemed very apoplectic and told me to please give them 15 minutes and they will fix it. Even tho I was really in a rush i decided to wait. The ladies at the counter were so hospitable that you couldn’t be mad at them. The offered me a free coffee and 2 cookies. One lady came over to apologize again and explained the situation while the other lady worked on my order. They make my order quickly and put in another free pastry to go. That was so nice! At the end it’s not the mistake that matters it’s how they handled it and how they made me feel! Thank you lovely ladies at Saray Bakery I will be back :)“

“If you are driving the Merritt Parkway, this restaurant is a three minute drive just west of the tunnel at New Haven. A Borek is a sort of pizza popular across the Middle East and Israel with a fabulous layered thin crust with cheese or potato. Wow. This is way better than a pizza. They have a simple little seating area and will bring you warm Borek, three sauces and really really good coffee in a box so you can take the rest with You. Fun fact. Google and the rest of the large language models can *never*spell Borek. I have to correct the spelling every time.“

“Wow!!! I just enjoyed the most delicious almond croissant I’ve ever had! Tons of almond paste, lots of slivered almonds and the moistest, flakiest large croissant. My husband loved the chocolate croissant as well! No skimpy chocolate from Molly! HIGHLY recommend Molly’s Bakery and her delectable treats. Great selection too.“

“my family ordered lunch from Isabel's to eat at home, but weve also stopped by in person to eat little snacks. so many food options on their menu and its all delicious, and I have a restrictive diet, but I still can eat many options. also, the hot chocolate, if you arent a big fan of Mexican hot chocolate, you can get a cup and mix it with american hot chocolate at home and it becomes incredibly delicious. idk, thats what I do when I get hot chocolate. I like trying to go to Isabel's when I can, theyre nice people and cool“

The cake pops were also quite large, moist, and filling; they made the perfect wedding favors. The guests are still raving about them. “We are from out of town, looked for an Italian bakery and founder Ambrosia. The staff was wonderful and answered our questions perfectly. We got a marble two layer cake with strawberries on top and strawberries and bananas as a filling. Our hosts loved it as well as the Italian bread. Thank you!“
