“My husband surprised me with a dinner gathering at Red Lotus. Immediately upon walking in we were greeted by two staff members and the owner Larry. Gary was our server who I must say was by far the best server we have ever had. Gary and Larry truly made us feel like we were the only ones there (they had a full house) the food was delicious we were a party of 8 and all had different plates none of us were disappointed with our food. The presentation of the plates were beautiful! Larry made sure to come to our table and assure we were satisfied with our food and service took time out to talk with us and build a relationship. Thank you Red Lotus from an amazing experience and phenomenal customer service.”

“Chops Taco food truck came to my workplace today so we decided to place an order. We ordered the mango habanero & pork carnitas tacos to share.. cannot mix the choices :( .. I wanted to try their crunchwrap but it wasn't available ...Also, the prices are standard for a taco truck ( 3 tacos for $12 ). These are not made like authenic mexican tacos ( cilantro & onion / green chile sauces / sides for decor ) but it was really good! Similar to how I make mine sometimes, toasted with cheese. I will definitely check it out at their location in Shelton one of these days or if they come back to my job ??”

“My brother and I just went in there for lunch today… Demi who I believe is a family member/owner was super nice and helpful as it was our first time in the place! My brother got oxtail with rice and peas and I got beef shawarma with jolaf rice… everything was spicy as Demi told us but it was so flavorful and delicious that we will definitely be back. 10 out of 10 recommend”

“My husband and I started going here over 10 years ago when they were in another location. It is the absolute best Sushi of all time!! We moved about 18 months ago and still every time we visit Ct, we have to stop at Hunan pan. Made in Crazy, Big Mama and their peppered tuna salad are our favorite and we order every single time! Couldn’t even wait to eat before I remembered to take a picture haha. And to top it off, the owners are the absolute nicest people! ❤️”

I was only trying to figure out why a kid's meal cost the same as an adult meal when the portions are clearly different. I can see myself returning in the future but will be skipping the kids meal for my daughter.”

“For some reason, even if you are the only customer in the drive through line, they make you inexplicably park your car in the front of the restaurant and have a person carry your food out to your car. I have no earthly idea why they do this and it completely defeats the purpose of having a drive through to begin with.”

“The young woman at Dunkin was great. Our power is out and my dog wouldn’t eat her dry food. She’s used to me cooking chicken and veggies but can’t. She was so sweet to make me an egg and a knife for me to cut it up.”

“I really like this gas station/mart/ DUNKIN DONUTS. It is one of my local favorite gas stations and Dunkin donuts. they have everything that a gas station with a mini mart should have in it and they also have a Dunkin donuts in the place. They have diesel along with gas.”

It’s also hard to find such a welcoming fun crowd and cheap drinks anywhere else. The new owners are regularly around and you won’t have to look hard because they’ll greet you with a smile. “Every time I come here the ladies that makes the juices are so pleasant. Usually when I don’t feel like making a juice at home I come here. They make the juices in front of you so you know they’re fresh. They also sell different herbs in there as well. If you’re in the area stop and get a juice.”

The toast, bacon, homefries, and mist sides are great and for a Saturday morning the vibes and service speed was amazing! The eggs and sausage are average but not bad by any means, and finally for those who like good coffee for cheap, they have a great smooth feeling coffee! Definitely coming back again! And recommend to anyone in the area!”

“We had the most wonderful experience at Caloroso Eatery & Bar. Unbeknownst to me, my family planned a surprise birthday party and had it at Caloroso’s in early December. Because the weather was still good, the party took place in the Sky Terrace…the space was very inviting and large enough to accommodate the 33 of us! Ashley and others of the Caloroso team made sure that no one went thirsty or hungry! The buffet of chicken parm, chicken marsala, pasta, salad, and more was totally delicious and plentiful! The large screen in the room made it possible for all to see the birthday trivia game through which I relived lots of happy memories and milestones! I had no idea what was waiting for me when I walked up the stairs and went through the doors into the Sky Terrace…and I’ll never forget the SURPRISE experience! Thank you, family, and thank you Caloroso team for helping to make the day a cherished lifelong memory!!”

“My heritage is Italian and for the majority of my life I lived in a Italian community in NY. When I moved ti Shelton Connecticut, I found myself in search of a good Italian Restaurant! My search ended when I found Matto’s Wine bar in Shelton. My waitress immediately tended to our every need. Her name was Chelsea and she took the time to explain to us how the items we were interested in were prepared. She gave us great recommendations and never rushed us to order. I love margaritas so my drink order was easy. My wife on the other hand likes sweet and unusual drinks. Chelsea recommended a drink with Italian ice in it and my wife was in Heaven! I can assure you that the food is delicious and definitely authentic Italian. The meatballs were phenomenal as was my veal cutlet and my wife’s pasta. Though they were extremely busy the manager, Mr. Ricky Rosario was out on the floor helping serve customers. If I even looked his wsy he came to our table to see if we needed anything. I honestly felt like royalty as they couldn’t do enough for us. I would definitely recommend this establishment as the good and service were outstanding. Ask for Chelsea as your waitress though they are all equally good.”
