“Go to local Chinese food in Shelton. Finding good Chinese takeout in CT is a challenge, this is the best option in the area. Cash only! Orange chicken extra spicy and beef lo mein are my go to with a wonton soup on the side. Lunch special is a great value. Friendly and quick service. Great location if you need to pickup anything from the grocery store or packy.“
“Definitely one of the better Chinese food take out places in the area. The general tsao chicken combo was prepared quickly and tasted yummy for a great price. The owners were very friendly as well. Will order from this restaurant again in the future!“
“The highlight was actually the fried rice. It was one of the tastiest fried rice I've had in a long time. So much so, that every time I'm driving around Shelton, I think about maybe ordering it for lunch. Don't get me wrong, our party had ordered other plates and they were mostly happy with them (the teriyaki chicken wasn't a hit though), but everyone that tried the fried rice, wanted more of it. Service was good and friendly and there were plenty of tables to choose from.“
“I haven't had Chinese food in a long time, but was craving it. Went to Shanghai bc it was close to my house and wow. I ordered a wonton soup, chicken wings, crab rangoon and shrimp and broccoli combo with pork fried rice and spring roll. Every thing was so good. All of that food for just $35! The man who took care of me at the counter was extremely friendly. I'll definitely be back.“
“I started frequenting this place in 2000 when I was an undergrad down the street. 23 years later, it is still my favorite Chineese food in the state. Chicken is always all white meat and always great. Just wish they opened earlier in the day.“
“Never left a review before but this place never misses! been going here since I can remember and i’ve never had a bad experience with the food or the people. Its the only place i’ll go for this kind of food. So good that i’m writing this while eating it“
“This is the best Chinese food I have ever had. The food is unbelievable. Whenever I have friends visiting from out of state, I bring them to Panda House, so they can have a wonderful meal. I introduce my friends to Jack and his amazing wife Debbie. They treat my friends like family. The food at this restaurant is outstanding. Every dish is delicious. I have been going to this restaurant for over 15 years. I have always enjoyed every meal here. You will love this restaurant. I PROMISE“
“I adore this place. The staff always greets you in a friendly manner and makes you feel so welcomed! The food is always fresh and delicious, too! I am very picky with chicken and this place does it perfectly, no matter what you order. I highly recommend the General Tso Chicken, done extra cripsy. It is perfect.“
“The store front is nothing to Wright home about but there Chinese food is the best there fast, portions are big and the service is great! Also price of food is affordableParking: Half the time you can latterly park at there front door and only half to walk four feet to go in easy and simple parking lotKid-friendliness: Hard working propel half the time the owners are the ones busting there but’s behind the counter to make there great foodWheelchair accessibility: Easy access for anyone in a wheelchair or has a disability“
“I highly recommend going to this restaurant in a group, the larger the better. My girlfriend isn't adventurous so I went solo, but this type of food is really meant for sharing. It was Saturday, so no lunch specials, but I didn't want a lunch special anyway. I made due with spicy dandan noodles and amazing taste chicken. The portion of the amazing taste chicken appetizer was probably large enough to share with two others. I wish I had a vegetable but I didn't want to spend another $12 for a portion of, say, braised Chinese broccoli, because it probably would have been enough for three people. What I got was tasty. Neither dish was very spicy - I got no numbing from Szechuan peppercorn, and only a little chili heat. I don't know if I'll be back but I gave five stars anyway, because it is a good restaurant. If they come up with lunch specials that include Szechuan specialties instead of just the typical Chinese-American "General Tso's Chicken", etc. that I saw, that would definitely bring me back. Otherwise it's going to cost you $50 if you want to sample three or four things. Or go with a group of three or four and everybody can share“
“This is one of my favorite restaurants in Connecticut and the only reason I know about it is because a friend introduced me to it. It's an authentic, hole-in-the-wall Szechuan restaurant and I've literally never had a bad meal here. My favorites are the the dumplings (duh), the spicy crispy chicken and the dan dan noodles, but honestly I need to venture out and explore more of the menu because every single dish I've had here has been exceptionally delicious. The owners are also so kind and helpful, and it's BYOB if you want to bring a bottle of wine!“
“This spot is such a hidden gem! The family that runs this restaurant are exceptional in todays world. Prompt, clean, professional, AND the food is well priced and delicious. If you are ever in the area, HIGHLY recommend. As someone who usually only writes reviews when I have a bad experience, I'm happy to write this review praising this small business. They deserve 6 stars.“
“I don't usually give immediate 5 star reviews but when it comes to United China there's not one bad thing I can say. They are the example to follow. Always a pleasant experience. Food is delicious, fresh, and most importantly consistent. Being someone that's been eating American/Chinese food for practically my whole life, there's a reason it's been in the same location since the 80's and most likely won't be going anywhere soon. The owner gives the best service I've ever had in what's mainly now (after covid) more of a takeout establishment. She's always friendly & extremely polite. As far as the inside, it's always exceptionally clean which adds that much more to the overall ambiance/environment & trust that a lot seem to forget about in other kitchens, (sorry mom!) With that being said, I drive 20 min atleast once or twice a week from my hometown whenever I get my cravings for some chicken & broccoli/General Tso's chicken! Thank you United China! You're the best!“
“Amazing hidden gem in CT. Stumbled upon here after trying to get a spot at kpot and this place was much, much better. The AYCE includes a wide variety of veggies, meats, proteins, and noodles, as well as ice cream for dessert at the end. All of the ingredients were super fresh, plated and prepped (such as the crab) beautifully, and the broths were rich and delicious. Service was initially a bit slow, but everyone was friendly and you mainly order everything through a tablet. Interior was also beautiful, quiet, and fancy - would much recommend here as the hot pot option one can find in CT.“
“Although you can place your order via Google Maps, we chose to just go there & order. They're so fast (under 10 minutes) this is a viable option. There is a single table there but I'd say this place is takeout only. It's tiny inside but it's plenty big enough to order/pickup.“
“Friendly customer service and good pricing. I ordered sesame chicken, eggrolls and dumplings. All taste great and good portion sizes. Yesterday was my first time getting food from there based on other positive reviews. Definitely my new go to Chinese food restaurant. No inside seating options, takeout only, parking easily available.“
“I don't eat shrimp with lobster sauce very often but once every 10 years, maybe, in a while, I eat it expected to be perfect and I expect not to get sick from it (lol) - I ordered some from Fei Ma last night -no I am 45 years old and I have been to pretty much every and any Chinese restaurant in this area going all the way down towards Greenwich short of the little kitchen in Westport, which I think is the best sadly I might have to say this one may trump them - I received the shrimp with lobster sauce, which was by all means so good that I was debating on going back and getting another one.For today, It was absolutely amazing. I literally had to sit there like a little kid with his mother, scolding him saying (Me), to myself to eat slower and enjoy it because it is so phenomenal . - I also have their general TSO chicken, which is of the usual general TSO type, but let me tell you something the lobster with shrimp and lobster sauce is not an easy dish to make very well but this was absolutely amazing so to all those that are scared of seafood from Asian restaurants, I can tell you the safe one around is. Fei Ma Chinese restaurant Main Street (Brookside Center) -BPT CT .. if I could give them 10 stars I would!“
“Clean, new, good selection. Very consistent, lots of seafood, polite staff. Beverages not included in price. Grilled fresh food, sushi, and prepared foods, fruit, salad, and Asian. Clean bathrooms. Right next to BJ's at The Dock in Stratford. $30 for 2 people after tax.“
“We'll be back! First time customer...couldn't resist the aromas as we headed for BigY! So we had no idea about Peking Tokyo and the 2 chicken dishes we ordered were OUTSTANDING. We thought our regular go-to for Chinese take-out was pretty good...Peking Tokyo is better than "pretty good"! (Approx 5th time here yesterday, 2/6/2021, the Kung Po Chicken was horrible (nasty chicken chunks, way too much salt). If I'd ordered that at 1st visit, I would not have come back!)“
“Will hi to all my husband used to work in front of this restaurant and he loves ❤️ this place my husband name Pete Loco ? as a friend so he knows who we are when we order on the phone and say Loco ? his food is the best in newhaven and his chicken wings are the bomb ty. Loco for being a good ? cooker God bless“
“This place is definitely a hidden gem. From what I can tell, not a lot of people know about it. But it's becoming my favorite Chinese restaurant in the Milford-Orange area. The food is absolutely fantastic and decently priced. It was made really quickly too. Staff was great and very friendly. Looking forward to my next meal from here!“
“Awesome! The food here is absolutely fantastic, and the prices are some of the best in Milford. The menu is huge, and has tons of different options...Chinese, Korean, American, fusion dishes...there's something for everyone here. Legitimately my new favorite Asian restaurant in the Milford/Orange area, and I can't wait to go again!“
“They serve all the Chinese takeout classics without being drenched in unhealthy fat. They have large selections of soups, as well. The chef is friendly and we did not wait long for meals. The chicken wontons are VERY tasty. Great prices, also. *Currently takeout and cash only, but it is worth it!*“
“Trying to find a new Chinese food place led me here. I'm not saying they're the best in Stratford, but the food is better than my last go-to place, which recently changed owners and, as usual, the quality suffered. Give them a try.“
“I have gone here several times. What caught me immediately was the friendliness of the staff member. The food is decent and not priced badly. The service was quick and well organized. I would recommend it for takeout. It had a few tables but is not large inside.Parking: Plenty of parking with a few quick parallel spots for takeout.“
“We go here every Friday and have for a couple years. The food is excellent, is always prepared the way we request (and trust me we make changes all the time). We eat our soup at the restaurant while they prepare our meals to go. It's a tradition that I look forward to weekly. Thank you Dragon Kitchen for being consistent and reliable; and preparing quality food! Looking forward to many years of great food!“
“So glad I found this Chinese place. Wish they did deliver if they did it would be 5 stars. The food is absolutely delicious, they make it quick, they are friendly, and the prices are great. They give you big portions to and don't skimp out on the sauce. ??“
“Hong Kong Express is probably my favorite place to go to for Chinese food. LOVE THE EGGROLLS! I’ve tried other places in Bridgeport but unfortunately none have had the same good taste as this place here. They are very quick with their orders and they are very nice! Though I do wish they had a delivery option like they used to. That’s the only downside of the place, but other than that, no complaints at all.“
“Co worker recommended ordering from here so I kept it simple pork fried rice with chicken wings surprisingly it was delicious rice was flavorful and didn't need any sauce and chicken was fried to perfection!!! Only downside is no delivery and cash only business. But I would definitely order from here again!!!“
“Really good Chinese food, quick, tasty, consistent. Small place, always friendly. Do pickup orders a few times a month. Love the sweet and sour chicken and spring rolls!!Parking: 2 spots in front, small shared lot on the left sideWheelchair accessibility: Steps at front door, not wheelchair accessible“
“My husband and I ordered from here last night. I'm a huge sushi fan and he prefers Chinese This place did not disappoint in either category Three sushi rolls w miso soup for under $13 dollars which was absolutely delicious He loved his garlic chicken and pork fried rice It's close to home, easy pick up with fast and friendly service. This is now our new favorite go to and both of us get exactly what we want at an affordable price for great food.“
“This is a great spot for take-out! This is the 4th time I've had it. The food is really good. I ordered their Singapore mei fun and it is really spicy, but I like spicy so it was delicious. It's your common Chinese food take-out. The food is always hot when it's ready. I will continue to order food here. The service is fast and friendly!“
“I used to go here growing up. It was my favorite Chinese take out. Decided to stop by and grab lunch yesterday (3/23/23) and it was just as good as I remember it! I ordered the bbq spareribs and pork fried rice along with a wonton soup and they were all DELICIOUS! Can’t wait to order from there again!Parking: Plenty of parking“
“The delivery time was decent. It was kind of expensive.I ordered fried chicken and fries it was not horrible but it could have been better. Small things such as the fries had some bad ones in it like brown ones, and the chicken was delicious I recommend. Over all this experience was a 3.5 star thing ! ??♀️“
“Their Customer Service is exceptional and ai love their Seafood Soup! So glad I found this spot because, after many years, I will never go to the "other spot up the street" every again after seeing one of the cooks sweat and cough over the food and picking his nose while cooking.“
“I love this place! They offer first-cleass meals, they have a nice menu, The cook in that restaurant is well trained, I like a lot tasting all their food. The dishes are always fresh and tasty, the service towards the visitors is agreeable. I frequently visit this place and I not even once was unsatisfied. Highly recommended.“
“This place has freshest and tastiest Chinese consistently. Wings are NOT old and dry and their dishes are not drenched in oil salt like many others. My favorite Singapore Rice Noodle has savory curry flavor and "wok hei". Its not just ingredients mixed together in a bowl, it's high fire stir fry. Identifying wok hei is like real smoked BBQ vs liquid smoke flavoring. ?️“
“The Chinese food at China Pavilion is high quality. The service was prompt, and the server explained various dishes. I ordered the lunch special and didn't notice that the size was any different from the dinner specials that the other people in my party ordered. China Pavilion uses white meat chicken for the General Tso's, which is not always the case. Also, the flavor isn't simply one of sugar, but some other aromatic spices which give it an authentic quality. My moo goo gai pan was unusually flavorful. The sauce was thick and the fried rice complemented the dish perfectly. My lunch special started off with the wonton soup which had two nice big dumplings. It was not overly salty and once again, the flavor was subtle and the quality good. We also ordered dumplings as appetizers, and they were especially juicy and large. Everyone enjoyed their meal, the dining room is spacious, clean, and nicely decorated in a Chinese restaurant theme. I can see why this place was voted the best in Connecticut. I had never eaten here before and I'm happy I had the chance to do so. I will definitely be back soon. I feel like this is a good place to bring visitors to the area so they can sample genuine, authentic Chinese food in a spacious, pleasant setting. I should add that the mixed drinks are a great complement to the food. I've never had a Dirty Shirley Temple before, and it was, sweet and fizzy with a cherry flavor; this is and fizzy definitely a drink I would order again.“
“Grat Japanese and Chinese restaurant. Have only done takeout, so I can't comment on service. The food is top notch. Whether you order sushi or Chinese you can't go wrong. Have spent time in both Japan and China, this is some of the best in this country. We have not had a thing we didn't like. Their online ordering system is one of the best. They tellyou how long and it is always ready and correct.“
“I've been coming here for several years, because of my daughter's love for a saucy chicken and broccoli. It's her absolute favorite Chinese spot to go to, no other spot can compare. Don't be fooled by an old photo posted, post covid this place doesn't have a table anymore, it's take out only. They're also closed on Sunday's now, so plan accordingly. The packaging was upgraded and they place chop sticks along utensils in a packet with a small tissue and tooth pick. It's super busy all day so I recommend calling in your order in advance!“
“They're really good when im in a hurry to get dinner for my kids. They're also very nice and will deliver literally within 2 block's. We love the food esp the crab ragoon. The bean curd tofu soup is also my favoriteVegetarian options: I like the vegetable lo mein and bean curd soup“
“There is always a crowd flowing with takeout bags from this location. Today after needing a quick afternoon pick me up, we decided on grabbing some vegetable lo mein. The service was friendly and efficient. It is definitely geared to being a takeout as the decor is minimal and there are only two small tables. The food was fresh and the lo mein was very good.“
“The best Chinese take out around! The crab Rangoon is the best. The gyoza is delicYou can dine in as well! They have a few seats inside, a nice calm and relaxing atmosphere. They offer sushi and traditional meals. The service is always attentive and quick! Worth the drive every time!“
“Egg foo young, shrimp fried rice, and shrimp egg roll. All was fresh and DELISH! Although, Cutting Corners like every other Place. Skinny jean shrimp egg roll ? and minimal shrimp in both shrimp roll and fried rice... Not COOL! Recoop your Covid loss in other ways....NOT SMART..MAY LOSE REGULAR BUSINESS Playing this Game... PPL Pay for what they EXPECT TO RECEIVE or We take our Business Elsewhere...?“
“I arrived in Milford. Connecticut around 7:45 pm from New Jersey. I checked in to my hotel then arrived at Dumpling House around 8:30 and ordered Scallion Pancakes, Stir-fried Bok Choy and Mushrooms, and Scrambled Eggs with Tomatoes. They all worked well with each other; The scrambled egg dish was surprisingly wonderful: perfectly-cooked scrambled eggs sauteed with fresh tomatoes till the maters release their juices. there was enough bok choy and eggs with tomatoes left over that I just mixed them with a free bowl of steamed brown rice that came with the bok choy dish, and it'll be my breakfast tomorrow“
“Very good food, very clean place.I personally don’t like egg rolls however this place has the only egg rolls I will eat. They’re made perfectly and so delicious. Staff is nice, service is fast. A little pricey however you get what you pay for in serving size and food quality.“
