“My husband surprised me with a dinner gathering at Red Lotus. Immediately upon walking in we were greeted by two staff members and the owner Larry. Gary was our server who I must say was by far the best server we have ever had. Gary and Larry truly made us feel like we were the only ones there (they had a full house) the food was delicious we were a party of 8 and all had different plates none of us were disappointed with our food. The presentation of the plates were beautiful! Larry made sure to come to our table and assure we were satisfied with our food and service took time out to talk with us and build a relationship. “Oh my gosh!! What a delicious meal we just had!! We found several gift cards in a drawer and visited Outback Steakhouse in Shelton. The outdoor seating area was perfect! The server, James, was very attentive and helpful. The food was delivered in a timely fashion and was wonderful! My scallops and shrimp were cooked to perfection and the Cajun seasoning was spot on. Keith's steak was cooked just as he requested. The portions were terrific! My cheesecake was smooth and yummy and Keith's chocolate dessert was a real treat. “I have been struggling to find a new diner that has amazing service and food. This morning I decided to give Riverdale and a try and I couldnt be happier with the service, food and atmosphere! The coffee is amazing as well! Riverdale is definitely my go to diner from here on out!

“The place doesn't look cozy and it only has like 3 tables, but the food is very good most of the clients order by phone to be deliver or to pick it up that's the reason you don't see too many clients there, but is one of the favorites places for the community that lives and works at Shelton.“

“Delicious food!! The appetizer was good, crab rangoons fresh and tasty. Filling was delicious, cooked properly, and the sweet & sour sauce was very good. For dipping the Rangoon, chicken fingers or sweet and sour dishes..... That sauce is delicious. The General Taos and orange chicken are crispy and tasty, perfectly spicy and just the right amount of that sticky brown sauce. The rice was cooked perfectly, fresh and not stale and sitting around for days, it had no dry stale parts. Seasoned properly and made with fresh ingredients, the rice and the veggies were perfect. Great place for takeout“

“I’ve been a regular customer since the restaurant was in its original location on CT 111. The food is great and unlike most other Chinese restaurants the portions haven’t decreased, price although higher than before but not significantly. If you order online you can use a credit card if you wait until you get your order in person you will need cash. I travel 45 minutes to get my Chinese food from them because they are that good!“

“I held the welcome party for my wedding at this restaurant’s private room as we were all staying at the Courtyard by Marriott Shelton only steps away. Their unlimited pizza selection had a nice mix of pies and they had a great menu to choose from. We ended up adding the chicken alfredo full tray and it was delicious.

The vibe was very laid back and relaxed which was perfect to catch up with friends and family. The wine selection was great and the room was spacious enough for our group of ~30-35. The staff were friendly and extremely communicative during both the booking process and on the day of. I would definitely recommend this location for an intimate gathering!“
