They have a beautiful outdoor patio I saw but we did sit inside. Espresso martini & old fashioned were great. I had the penne alla vodka and my boyfriend had the tortellini carbonara.. I found myself picking off his plate because it was so yummy. The pasta is hand made, which makes it very soft which I love!! If you’re expecting al dente you won’t find that here (thank god). Both were fantastic. We also had the tiramisu for dessert. We will be recommending this to family & friends. We really enjoyed our dinner thank you!“

“I can’t recommend this place highly enough. I used to get Halal Guys on the green in New Haven for years and was so disappointed when it closed. I’d say Shah’s is even better and more authentic to the “Halal food truck” roots. A combo plate is enough for two meals. Definitely a go-to spot.“

However, Alisha was beyond incredible. She was attentive, caring, patient (I take a while to read the menu) (it's a problem), and always there when we needed her. She made me feel like I was her only table on a busy Saturday morning, even though I could see how busy she was you'd never tell by her service. The food was fine. But Alisha was exceptional. I don't think I would have considered returning, but having her as my server, they can definitely expect me again (as long as she's serving). Very diner. I've never left a review before, but she was so incredible it had to be known.“
