“I can’t recommend this place highly enough. I used to get Halal Guys on the green in New Haven for years and was so disappointed when it closed. I’d say Shah’s is even better and more authentic to the “Halal food truck” roots. A combo plate is enough for two meals. Definitely a go-to spot.“

“Over a decade of deliciousness! It’s been 10 years, and I can still remember the Shrimp Bisque and other scrumptious soups. There was always an allergen-friendly option, which was just barely catching on back then. My husband would have soups delivered to the hospital if he couldn’t have lunch with me in person. Every time it rains in San Diego, we think of Soup Girl. So many flavors, very fond memories.“

Our event was buffet style and they made sure we never ran out of any options while keeping the food hot and delicious. “So far, I’ve only had the chicken and broccoli which is very good, but I have to say the real star out of the two items I ordered was the hot and sour soup! They’re hot and Sour soup is the best I’ve had in the area hands-down however it is very spicy so if you don’t want it spicy, ask them to alter it. Update I tried the curry shrimp and it was the best curry shrimp dish of any Chinese food establishment I’ve ever been to.“

“Hey, it's your girl, Honest Review. IHOP was a great ending to my day. I had the steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. My son had the kids burger with fries, 2 chicken tenders with waffles, He's a growing boy, y'all, lol. Our waitress was very courteous and kind she attended to us in a very mindful way. It was a quieter time of day. Not many people were dining in the meal was fresh and tasty. The presentation was good. This is my second time visiting, and I will def visit when in the Hamden area again.“

“This is your classic Chinese takeout place-- but they have a few tables AND they let you use the restroom, which not all Chinese takeout places do. The restroom was pleasant. The place wasn't fancy: no table cloths, casual attire, normal Chinese takeout prices. I got the shrimp with Chinese vegetables and brown rice. The sauce was a bit too sweet. There weren't many shrimp in there -- which is common with Chinese food -- and one of them tasted a bit off, but I didn't get sick. The vegetables and brown rice were good. It was basically exactly what you would expect. There was a good selection of vegetables -- and they had a broccoli free option, which I like, because broccoli gives me gas. The neighborhood is depressing. There's a lot of litter in the gutter. I was able to find street parking nearby with no problem, even though it was Friday evening.“
