“Those who said fuzzy baby ducks changed their lives—— they are NOT EXAGERATING! This has to be the one of the most drinkable, delicious beer! And I’m in LOVE with the artwork ?”
“Ventured out to Woodbridge in search of El Gallo and it didn't not disappoint. Steak ranchero bowl for me and pupusas for my husband with a side of guac to share. Perfect yummy meal”
“Man, I hate writing this. The food is always good, that's never the issue. But, your prices have increased so much it's actually disappointing. I know with inflation it would go up, but this much? $19.99 for a ruben is insane. It will have to be a good pay check day to come visit you guys again.Previous review: I have never been disappointed with Katz! I used to go all of the time when I was living in the area. It's been about 5 years since I've been there and popped in a few days ago. The only thing to change was the restaurant itself! So much bigger and brighter in a good way! The food was excellent and I love that they include a few vegetarian main courses. They still serve their famous coleslaw and pickles prior to the meal. I wish they had a location closer to me!!! But I will always stop by if I'm in the area. :)”
“this was our first visit to Paolo's. the food, the staff and ambiance was nothing less than awesome. words that immediately come to mind are relaxin, comfortable, delicious and friendly. We just discovered our favorite local restaurant. I highly recommend Paolo's if you want to feel like you just visited Naples. enjoy.”
“First time at Solun. It was amazing! Nice atmosphere, excellent service, and delicious food. I had the Beef Rib enchiladas! Can't wait to go back!! ?Parking: Excellent free parking”
“First time coming here. Wines were average, staff were friendly. We tried a flight of 4, mixed between Red, White and Rose.We brought our own charcuterie board to snack on while enjoying the view of the vineyardPets welcome ?”
“This place has the best sandwiches ever. They are so fresh and tasty. I have been coming here for years and I'm always impressed with the quality. Family owned and their service is so fast and friendly. If you are in the area you MUST stop here and get a sandwich... You will love it!”
“I have now been here 4 times. My grandmother fell in love with this restaurant, so now we go quite frequently! We love that 90% of the menu is gluten free and can accommodate celiac. We really like the pad Thai, pineapple fried rice and the chicken satay!Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating for gluten free and celiac”
“A nice local spot, quality food and good portions, attentive staff and food was quickly brought out. We went for Sunday brunch but would love to come try their dinners.”
“The only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars has to do with the price. The server that helped me was phenomenal. I had been waiting longer than I could because I had to be somewhere. He personally made my order so I could leave. Very pleasant and great attitude. I wish I had gotten his name. My visit was on 4/15/23 at around 1:30 pm. Woidbridge , CT location. He was a young small built African American with glasses. All that being said….price was such a rip off. The drink consisted of maybe 6oz of coffee,low-fat milk & a shot of flavor. Over $6!!!!!!!Very small cup. Economy is bad right. now. I’m 70 years old still have to work 40 hours a week to support myself. Should offer better prices. Server saved the entire experience. My thanks to him”
“Going to a restaurant in the pandemic can be challenging but Subway lends itself to take-out. You can load your sandwich with all the extras if you like, from lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and olives to various pickles. Yum.”
“I'm gonna start with a real bold opener here and say that out of the pizza greats MODERN IS THE BEST, HANDS DOWN. It's not up for debate, it's not an opinion, it's an empirical fact.I have NEVER had a bad experience doing business with them.Dine-in: FIVE STARS.Take-out: FIVE STARS.Their customer service: not even a contest! Always so polite, kind, accommodating, and really care about giving you a positive experience. My favorite nuances withheld in Modern's perfectly cooked dough are:-The subtle sweetness that arrives on the back end of every bite that I believe is in the dough and not the sauce (correct me if I'm wrong).-Their pies produce the absolute perfect bubble.-The dough has a really good bouncy mouthfeel without being overly floppy.-Exceptional sauce, very bright and flavorful.-Good sauce/dough/cheese ratio.-Clutch undercarriage. The best way to measure the worth of any pizza is with a plain cheese pie.I've waited about 3 years, maybe a little more, to post this review. My opinion was formed the moment I tasted the absolute best and it hasn't changed yet. I hope this review helps you to make the right decision when it comes to your pizza patronage.”
“I feel like a lot of people don’t know that there really is an embarrassment of riches of restaurants in New Haven County. If you love good food all you have to do is look around here. Dad is the one who made the reservation at Fair Haven Oyster Club (I’m pretty sure you must make a reservation, the spot is small and if the weather is bad the only seating is the bar and a row of two tops behind the bar). I looked up the menu and it looked pretty SPECTACULAR. Reminder: I don’t eat beef, pork or poultry. Lots of times my choices are somewhat limited when we dine out, not at Fair Haven. WOW. Now, if you don’t eat seafood I’m pretty sure you’re out of luck. I don’t think there was anything vegetarian, let alone vegan. Note: Dad reserved “in the bar” on Resy. Turns out that is stools AT the bar. “Dining room” is the two tops that are right behind the bar. So choose wisely. Outdoor seating I think is weather dependent and we got the most spectacular evening last night. We arrived very early for our reservation because we were out and about anyway and it worked out because they sat us out on the deck overlooking the water and the boats. Hands Down now of the very best settings I have ever dined in (and I have dined all over this country and world). Weather was perfection, beautiful blue sky, big, fluffy clouds;s tide was going out, water was crystal clear; across the Quinnipiac River you could see old homes and an old church; off in the distance I could see the cars and trucks on 91. I LOVED THAT. I was a little worried when they gave us tiny water glasses. I drink water. Plenty of it. But they kept those little glasses full. Which is no mean feat when the place just got progressively busier and also, keeping water glasses filled is a common “weak point” when I eat out. The service here was ON POINT. While Dad was griping about the QR code menu I ordered a Hendrick’s and Tonic. Just because they looked like their cocktail game was strong. FYI, most places make terrible, undrinkable gin and tonics. Not Fair Haven Oyster Club! They served me the perfect G&T, even in the correct highball glass (!!) with super fizzy tonic water (!!!). That G&T set the tone for the rest of the meal…knocked directly out of the park. The menu is broken into Raw (they have an impressive oyster selection and caviar service, if that’s your thing), soups and salads, small plates and large plates. My plan was to eat my way through salads and small plates. I did order Scallop Crudo (olive oil, lemon, salt, herbs) and Tuna Crudo (over foie gras mousse on a brioche cracker) for the table. But then I ate them… Dad ordered Gildas to share (tiny skewers of anchovies, piparra peppers, castelvetrano olives & Mahon cheese). Super fun bar type snack. Things I ate: Fair Haven Clam Chowder. Which really tasted like a very good escarole (it was actually kelp) soup with clams. Baby Butter Lettuces (w/fried oysters, green goddess, bonito). This is EVERYTHING a salad should be. Delicious, filling, fresh, UMAMI. The fried oysters make it a legit meal. Heirloom Tomatoes (w/bottarga): beautiful, delicious tomatoes served in the most Umami-forward way possible. Uni Toast (w/ white shoyu, sesame & chive). I eat A LOT of Uni. Because I eat A LOT of Omakase and Kaiseki in NYC. So, for me? There are better ways to savor Uni. But, again! UMAMI BOMB. And I am always here for the Umami. Mom and Dad ordered the Grilled Black Cod (over cucumber & snap pea salad w/ kelp ponzu & shiso). SNAPS to them for stretching outside their culinary comfort zones after I explained o them that Black Cod is one of the most delicious fish out there and ponzu us right up their alley! This dish is just glorious: Perfectly grilled fish adrift in a sea of incredibly fresh and delicious vegetables. The snap of those snap peas was perfection. For dessert we ordered Vanilla Bean Cheesecake with honey fennel pollen & wild fennel. I. LOVE. Fennel and will eat it in any form. This really did not taste of fennel. But! This was one of the best cheesecakes I’ve ever h”
“Had to rub my eyes to make sure that I was in New Haven because this restaurant stepped right out of Manhattan. Each dish we enjoyed was recommended by our sever as was the fabulous wine too. The chef introduced himself before seating and checked with us just as our larger plate arrived. He added very much to the overall ambiance.”
“This place make you feel like you’re eating in front of Lungomare Mergellina in NAPLES, Italy. Absolutely fantastic pizza, pasta and everything you see on the menu. If you’re familiar with a real and authentic pizza this is the right place for you, won’t find a place like this in the whole state of CT. Food is fresh, pizza is not greasy like every other place you go and your stomach doesn’t feel heavy after eating here. You smell authentic as soon as you walk in. Great job and thank you for having a place like this in CT.”
“Spectacular restaurant. Pricey but worth it. The black cod is as good as advertised. Had a ceviche special that was very good. The kale and octopus was solid. Will be back.”
“A menu like non other. One dish better than then next. It was an absolute pleasure to sample so many fantastic plates. I for one look forward to sharing the experience with friends and family sometime very soon.”
“My husband and I decided to try this place for our 25th wedding anniversary! They did not disappoint! The atmosphere was amazing as well as the service. We thoroughly enjoyed our food. The manager took the time to make our evening extremely special by bringing out a nice dessert!!! He even remembered our names.”
“Phenomenal food on its way to a Michelin star. Very expensive, but worth every penny if you're looking for quality Japanese food. All the staff are Japanese themselves or have lived in Japan at one point, making all the food truly Japanese inspired.Shout out to Charles! Super cool guy and added a lot to the experience.”
“I’ve been an ABC subscriber since the fall, I’ve had a couple of minor mixups with orders but their customer service has been fantastic! They are quick to respond and are happy to correct the issue. The beer is solid with a ton of options, especially online and for subscribers.”
“Delicious food, great coffee, and impressively attentive and knowledgeable staff. If you are in the area and haven’t tried Kickstart, you won’t regret visiting!”
“I have been here 5 times now both pick up and sit down. The food has been amazing and the atmosphere is great. The inside is very very clean. I do not like writing negative reviews however the service in person is great but over the phone 1 star would be to much. Both times i ordered over the phone it was very very rushed and I could hardly get a question in. This most recent time the phone call was so rushed and with the language barrier we misunderstood each other. I know that can happen and it is what it is. When i showed up i noticed my order had additional items that i did not ask for. When I told the gentleman i did not ask for them I got the worst attitude and he got so mad. When i said I'm not sure what happened but sorry he snapped at me saying I should have listened better. Normally I would have said whatever and taken the additional items if they are small however it was 3 more things of ramen. I still tipped 20% because maybe he was having a bad day and not tipping is just rude. When he came back after he removed the other items my food was basically thrown at me. I didn't check it and when i got home one of the lids was off and half of the broth leaked out. I was really enjoying a ramen place being so close and i was sending all my friends there. However reguardless of how good their dumplings are i may just drive the extra 20 minutes somewhere else.”
“We went to this place with my family To give it a try , we had breakfast , and the food was phenomenal can't believe this small place was transformed to this incredible place .”
“Olea, is a top tier restaurant, creative and exciting yet grounded in the Spanish way. The drinks were very good I had the signature Manhattan. For appetizer the ceviche mixto was amazing, originally thrown off my the red sauce but WOW it was such a compliment to the lemon and seafood. My main meal was the fish of the day (Black Sea bass) and it was cooked to perfection and placed on butter beans and a mild yet appealing salsa verde. Food was on par for a great restaurant in any major city. We are so happy to have one of this caliber so close to home.”
“The staff is incredibly friendly, upbeat, and helpful. Above all, the bagels and shmears are nonpareil!!! The best anywhere. I’m sad that I don’t live in New Haven anymore.Vegetarian options: I think the majority of spreads are vegetarian”
“Food was excellent, service was incredible, our waitress was so kind, and the decor was gorgina.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options were solid.Wheelchair accessibility: Someone in our group was disabled, so I’m really glad they were able to accommodate that.”
“I live outside of DC and go to a number of Michelin star restaurants… I will flatly say I have had meals that equalled Union League but never one that exceeded it. Couple in their very reasonable pricing, gorgeous building, great staff and this place is extraordinary. I will be visiting my sister in Milford more often in the future :-)!”
“Went there on a Friday night, was a little busy but we sat down right away. The waitress was really friendly and took our order right away. The pizza came out hot and fresh right to the table.Great thin crust pizza.”
“I love that they have a small menu but that it's constantly changing. I've gone already five times and each time, I have not been disappointed. Every item you order is unique and flavorful. The chef must be brilliant.”
“Stopped in after hiking nearby Sleeping Giant Tower trail. Unique concept featuring ice cream from a variety of small purveyors from around CT. Very friendly, helpful staff giving lots of sample tastes. Ice cream was delicious.Easy access right off Rte 15.”
