Food is good, nice atmosphere
If you are driving the Merritt Parkway, this restaurant is a three minute drive just west of the tunnel at New Haven. A Borek is a sort of pizza popular across the Middle East and Israel with a fabulous layered thin crust with cheese or potato. Wow. This is way better than a pizza. CRUNCH BOREKS CT is a true gem, highly recommended by its customers. The artisanal boreks are incredible, fresh, delicious, and full of flavor, seasoned to perfection. Savory options like the spinach&Feta and Kebab borek are amazing, and sweet ones like the pumpkin, Dubai, chocolate, and Nutella borek are delicious. Portion sizes are enormous and prices are reasonable. Everything is prepared in-house, including the dough, fillings, sauces, dressings, compotes, and awesome pickles. The small side salads are also loved. The owner is passionate and guides customers on heating for takeout, which travels great. The seating area is spacious, clean, cozy, and has pleasant, calming music. The staff is attentive and friendly. It is perfect for eating in or taking to go, and catering is also available.
