“This place make you feel like you’re eating in front of Lungomare Mergellina in NAPLES, Italy. Absolutely fantastic pizza, pasta and everything you see on the menu. If you’re familiar with a real and authentic pizza this is the right place for you, won’t find a place like this in the whole state of CT. Food is fresh, pizza is not greasy like every other place you go and your stomach doesn’t feel heavy after eating here. You smell authentic as soon as you walk in. Great job and thank you for having a place like this in CT.”
“I feel like a lot of people don’t know that there really is an embarrassment of riches of restaurants in New Haven County. If you love good food all you have to do is look around here. Dad is the one who made the reservation at Fair Haven Oyster Club (I’m pretty sure you must make a reservation, the spot is small and if the weather is bad the only seating is the bar and a row of two tops behind the bar). I looked up the menu and it looked pretty SPECTACULAR. Reminder: I don’t eat beef, pork or poultry. Lots of times my choices are somewhat limited when we dine out, not at Fair Haven. WOW. Now, if you don’t eat seafood I’m pretty sure you’re out of luck. I don’t think there was anything vegetarian, let alone vegan. Note: Dad reserved “in the bar” on Resy. Turns out that is stools AT the bar. “Dining room” is the two tops that are right behind the bar. So choose wisely. Outdoor seating I think is weather dependent and we got the most spectacular evening last night. We arrived very early for our reservation because we were out and about anyway and it worked out because they sat us out on the deck overlooking the water and the boats. Hands Down now of the very best settings I have ever dined in (and I have dined all over this country and world). Weather was perfection, beautiful blue sky, big, fluffy clouds;s tide was going out, water was crystal clear; across the Quinnipiac River you could see old homes and an old church; off in the distance I could see the cars and trucks on 91. I LOVED THAT. I was a little worried when they gave us tiny water glasses. I drink water. Plenty of it. But they kept those little glasses full. Which is no mean feat when the place just got progressively busier and also, keeping water glasses filled is a common “weak point” when I eat out. The service here was ON POINT. While Dad was griping about the QR code menu I ordered a Hendrick’s and Tonic. Just because they looked like their cocktail game was strong. FYI, most places make terrible, undrinkable gin and tonics. Not Fair Haven Oyster Club! They served me the perfect G&T, even in the correct highball glass (!!) with super fizzy tonic water (!!!). That G&T set the tone for the rest of the meal…knocked directly out of the park. The menu is broken into Raw (they have an impressive oyster selection and caviar service, if that’s your thing), soups and salads, small plates and large plates. My plan was to eat my way through salads and small plates. I did order Scallop Crudo (olive oil, lemon, salt, herbs) and Tuna Crudo (over foie gras mousse on a brioche cracker) for the table. But then I ate them… Dad ordered Gildas to share (tiny skewers of anchovies, piparra peppers, castelvetrano olives & Mahon cheese). Super fun bar type snack. Things I ate: Fair Haven Clam Chowder. Which really tasted like a very good escarole (it was actually kelp) soup with clams. Baby Butter Lettuces (w/fried oysters, green goddess, bonito). This is EVERYTHING a salad should be. Delicious, filling, fresh, UMAMI. The fried oysters make it a legit meal. Heirloom Tomatoes (w/bottarga): beautiful, delicious tomatoes served in the most Umami-forward way possible. Uni Toast (w/ white shoyu, sesame & chive). I eat A LOT of Uni. Because I eat A LOT of Omakase and Kaiseki in NYC. So, for me? There are better ways to savor Uni. But, again! UMAMI BOMB. And I am always here for the Umami. Mom and Dad ordered the Grilled Black Cod (over cucumber & snap pea salad w/ kelp ponzu & shiso). SNAPS to them for stretching outside their culinary comfort zones after I explained o them that Black Cod is one of the most delicious fish out there and ponzu us right up their alley! This dish is just glorious: Perfectly grilled fish adrift in a sea of incredibly fresh and delicious vegetables. The snap of those snap peas was perfection. For dessert we ordered Vanilla Bean Cheesecake with honey fennel pollen & wild fennel. I. LOVE. Fennel and will eat it in any form. This really did not taste of fennel. But! This was one of the best cheesecakes I’ve ever h”

“Olea, is a top tier restaurant, creative and exciting yet grounded in the Spanish way. The drinks were very good I had the signature Manhattan. For appetizer the ceviche mixto was amazing, originally thrown off my the red sauce but WOW it was such a compliment to the lemon and seafood. My main meal was the fish of the day (Black Sea bass) and it was cooked to perfection and placed on butter beans and a mild yet appealing salsa verde. Food was on par for a great restaurant in any major city. We are so happy to have one of this caliber so close to home.”
“Spectacular restaurant. Pricey but worth it. The black cod is as good as advertised. Had a ceviche special that was very good. The kale and octopus was solid. Will be back.”
“I live outside of DC and go to a number of Michelin star restaurants… I will flatly say I have had meals that equalled Union League but never one that exceeded it. Couple in their very reasonable pricing, gorgeous building, great staff and this place is extraordinary. I will be visiting my sister in Milford more often in the future :-)!”

“We love it here- the staff/owners/chefs are so friendly and passionate about the place and it shows. We love that it’s different from the other options on Wooster street while still feeling right at home in the Italian neighborhood- handmade pastas, wood fired options, and don’t get me started on the desserts and cocktails (amazing- and love that they have NA options as well) beautiful ambiance, we can’t wait for the rooftop to open! Definitely our new date night spot.Vegetarian options: Stuffed acorn squash was great as well as pasta selections!”
“Not impressed at all. I was so excited to have an isreali style falafel in ct. Traditionally isreali falafel sandwhiches have salad, pickles, falafel and tehina. It was dry with only diced tomatoes and falafel balls in a pita pocket. I don't get it.Update: The owner called back, apologized and refunded me! Thank you!!!”
“Phenomenal food on its way to a Michelin star. Very expensive, but worth every penny if you're looking for quality Japanese food. All the staff are Japanese themselves or have lived in Japan at one point, making all the food truly Japanese inspired.Shout out to Charles! Super cool guy and added a lot to the experience.”

“As a pizza artist for more than 25 years, this was a dream come true to finally try the famous New Haven Pizza. And it did not disappoint. Waited about an hour for a table, but the service was amazing, the atmosphere was super relaxed, the food unbelievable, oh, and William from the kitchen was GREAT! You'll see why ????”

“I love that they have a small menu but that it's constantly changing. I've gone already five times and each time, I have not been disappointed. Every item you order is unique and flavorful. The chef must be brilliant.”

“Their pizza is significantly better than others nearby. They're not Sally's or Pepe's or Modern. But they're the best pizza in downtown New Haven.”
“Love Italian pastry and don't have any good Italian bakeries near me. Arrived at 4pm and still had plenty to choose from. Spent $60 on 12 pieces of pastry and a bag of cookies. My husband and I enjoyed every piece. Will definitely go again when in the area.Parking: Parking in rear and there's a back entrance.”
“===== RATING: A ===== and the Mystry is solved! The hidden South Asian gem right in the heart of New Haven is no other than Mystry Indian Kitchen. We came within the first couple of months of it opening and now it's become my new favorite Indian restaurant in New Haven, topping other New Haven household names like House of Naan, Sherkaan, and Zaroka's. === [FOOD: 9/10] === The garlic and garlic cheese naans are BOMB. The cheese is gooey and pairs perfectly with any of their curries. Their dosa is HUGE. Samosas are super tasty: the right amount of crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. Portions are perfect and everything comes out piping hot! Mango lassi is sweet and not too yogurt-y. Only thing I don't love is that the chutneys are very watered down, but the flavor is definitely there. === [VIBES: 7/10] === Our service was average, nothing super notable. They played some lit Bollywood / S. Asian music and had some cute decor for Valentine's day. Cutlery and plates were a classy copper tone. It's not usually too packed when we go, but traffic here is definitely creeping up every time I stop by. I cannot wait for this place to pop off because they totally deserve it. P.S. someone send me their playlist”
“Visited here for the first time today for lunch. We were craving burgers and wanted to go somewhere local. They did not disappoint! From the first bite, it was clear they made the burgers from scratch. The burger meat itself was flavorful, not just bland. The fries were also so good, perfect blend of crunch and smoosh. My husband got a shake and really enjoyed it. We also got a cupcake for our daughter, which she said was absolutely delicious. They shared that they support another local small business by displaying their cupcakes for sale. Will definitely go back next time we're in the area.”

“Had to rub my eyes to make sure that I was in New Haven because this restaurant stepped right out of Manhattan. Each dish we enjoyed was recommended by our sever as was the fabulous wine too. The chef introduced himself before seating and checked with us just as our larger plate arrived. He added very much to the overall ambiance.”
“Fantastic Italian food and the staff was welcoming and friendly from the moment we walked in! We arrived at 4:30 and the place was empty but got busy quickly after so I would encourage a reservation. I love that each entree comes with a side salad to start cause most places don't do this. The chicken picatta was one of the best I've had and highly recommend starting with the Arancini it melts in your mouth! The fig cocktail is my favorite as well. Love this place!”
“We had a wonderful time on Thanksgiving. Something went very wrong with our original restaurant reservation. Shell & Bones were able to accommodate a table of six last minute. Great service fabulous food all with a view. Highly recommend.”
“Food was a bit expensive and not the best. Also, while a nice gesture, putting alcohol on peoples' table without asking is a terrible idea. Some people dont drink/are in recovery and that can be a huge trigger.”
“The vibes, the drinks, the experience is worth trying. I love the ever changing menu-- like a different experience everytime. Good apps. Not for a large party but I would say a group of 6 would be max. Make reservations. Service is good-- they make great recs.”
“i’ve never written a review for a restaurant before but i just finished eating dinner here and everything was phenomenal! the service is what really made our experience that good.”
“This was my first visit to RAWA. I will definitely be back. The food was amazing and they had many vegetarian options. I enjoyed the Moussaka and my husband had the falafel plate. Both were amazing. Definitely give RAWA a try!”
“Very intimate setting. The wait staff were very friendly. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and the manager came over to congratulate us as well as give us a complimentary toast.”
“We've had several lovely dinners here. My partner loves spicy food so he loves everything! I wanted something milder, and there were delicious options for that, too. At my recent visit I had the Doro Alicha and it was wonderful. Highly recommend.”
“Thrilled to have a sushi restaurant of this caliber without going to NYC. Sushi is very fresh. Kudos to the chef’s extraordinary talent to create interesting and delicious combinations. Highly recommend.”
“a stunning experience. a friend of mine had a private party here and they made her special day even more special. they catered beef sambousek, maaloubeh (chicken with rice layered), cucumber salad, date pastries, and their hot mint tea. we all forgot to take food pics because we couldn’t wait to dive in. the ambiance is beautiful and home-like. at the end, i bought a rose and jasmine scented candle whose proceeds go towards their cause, and took some lentil soup to go with chopped carrots instead of pita as my side. it was the perfect light dinner after a heftier lunch. the consistency of the lentil soup was like my grandmother’s. 10/10 recommendation.”
“We just ate there today everything they served us was amazing staff was really good for whatever we needed would recommend this place 1000 percentParking: Parking garage next to restaurantKid-friendliness: They where really understanding for 3 young boys great place food is awesome”
“Just ordered a pizza, very pleasantly surprised. Thank you for having pineapple , the other places in town are too “original” to have it on the menu! Bonus points for being open late!”
“great place! had quick bite before a show at College st. the staff was wonderful and sensitive to our time constraints. food was delicious and creative. wine list was top notch. definitely recommend.”
“Delicious and affordable. We did happy hour (2 people), got a drink and plate each for $28 total. How can you beat that in New Haven? No wonder it was pretty much full on a Tuesday. Mojito was a bit weak/sweet is the only complaint.”

“Came out from Baltimore and had a great time, super cool atmosphere, security and staff were cool and helpful. Special shout out to the coat check girl for taking care of our expensive signed merch!?”
“So I went to Cody's last night for the first time ever. I ordered the caesar salad and added chicken. That salad was delicious! The chicken to lettuce to dressing ratio was on point! I definitely plan to go again.”
“Very fast and efficient! Now with the new remodel, it’s very nice that we have two lanes but even when we had one lane in the drive-through, it was pretty fast my order is always right I never had any discrepancies with my food! food. You have my vote ??”
“It went through the drive-thru. I was surprisingly surprised how fresh the food seemed to be. This is the second drive-thru I went through this month and the food was actually fresh.Kid-friendliness: What more can I say it's McDonald's.”
“I come to this mcds everyday because I work nearby every time I come not every employee is as professional not only that but rude as well. Ever since I met (Sammy)) at the cash register he has treated me very well: he is a sweetheart, very friendly, patient, and attentive to your order. Thank you Sammy for making my visit much more quickly and enjoyable. Kid deserves a raise ? Sammy stay great!!!”
“It's a normal McDonald's with a friendly staff and clean restrooms, only the traffic around organized is pretty bad, not enough parking space and very difficult to move ”
“Parking: They have handicap parking spots available.Wheelchair accessibility: It’s McDonald of course they are wheelchair friendly and handicapped friendly as well.”

“Cozy atmosphere, strong mixed drinks (i got a hot toddy - perfect on a wintry night). The food here is on point. I enjoyed the mac & cheese!Wheelchair accessibility: They have a built-in ramp to access the front door. You'll probably need help opening the door (iirc it is not automatic/push assist).”
“Had a private party upstairs in the queens lounge. The space, staff, and drinks were all amazing. Would definitely recommend for a party or just to come in for a drink.”
“This is the best pizza in New Haven, forget what you read from influencers and blogs. Pat is a master of the craft and there is nothing better than a cheese pizza fresh out of the oven. Do yourself a favor and eat there! This pizza is best when it's only a few minutes out of the oven.”

“Was looking for something new for dinner so we saw this highly rated spot & decided to try it. So happy we did!!! Hands down the best yellow coconut curry i’ve ever had, the spice is definitely there but they manage to keep that amazing flavor. The miso charred edamame was absolutely phenomenal, 10/10. Not to mention the menu is so reasonably priced for the very big portions you get. The entrees are all big enough for 2. The service was amazing, the staff is so nice & attentive. & Last but not least, the decor of the place is so cute!!! It’s such a vibe on inside. Will definitely be returning!!!”
“This was my first time trying a Poké bowl and it did not disappoint. It was very refreshing, especially on this warmer than normal March afternoon. Since it was my first time, I decided to create a build your own bowl and incorporate ingredients that I'm used to. The topper was their special sauces. I added shrimp, which were deveined, corn, fresh jalapeño, and a mix of rice and greens. For a surcharge you can also add avocado and kimchi, which I did. Everything blended together so well. The bowl was nice and satisfying. I definitely see myself returning throughout the summer, especially when I want a salad experience but a tad elevated. Parking is a bit tricky over there. But I went on a Thursday afternoon. The establishment was nice and clean. Bright and open. They had a few stool seats at a countertop. I believe they have Boba tea, but I'll try one the next time. There will most certainly be a next time!”
“Awesome Thai restaurant with friendly service and delicious food. The crispy pork basil was amazing. We had the fried banana with the coconut cream sauce for dessert which was the best!”
“Great pizza and sides. Should be in the New Haven Pizza conversation more often.Brick oven, Fresh ingredients, nice crunch and undercarriage/ crust. About 5 two person tables So not much for sitting in. More of a take out spot. Well worth it to go pick it up. Out of the down town city area. In Quiet East ”
“Absolute God tier fried chicken sandwich. Holy hell.Update:Been a loyal fan for 3 years but I have to say I’m concerned about quality as they rapidly scale up and add new locations. The new fries are really disappointing and I hope they go back to the old ones.”
“I had my first experience with my friend and her brother today and it was fantastic. The fish was fresh, the cuts were amazing and the service was impeccable. Would highly recommend as an omakase spot in CT and order the kama toro, it was perfect.”

“We both ordered the chicken and fish maw rice noodle soup. The noodles were cocked perfectly and the soup was flavorful. The inside is nice and spacious. Overall happy with this place.”
“This has been an amazing experience. I have been going here for years and have tried most of the items in the menu. The pizza and sandwiches are amazing and really shine in this retro diner especially compared to the rest of new haven. Everything is freshly made and really good.”
“Great customer service. I believe it was a Manager who helped us at the drive-thru or maybe a Supervisor. Very professional and pleasant! Drinks were made perfectly too.”

“These guys have delicious smoothies and drinks, amazing house-made fermented products, great staff, and fantastic atmosphere. It's always great to stop by and grab some delicious gut healthy products from the Cultured Cafe.”
“Outstanding food in the heart of New Haven. It's a small, clean place with huge portion sizes. The service was attentive and the staff were friendly and helpful in explaining the different dishes. I had the lomo saltado (classic Peruvian stir-fried beef dish with fries) and my dining partner had a Peruvian rotisserie chicken sandwich. The food is flavorful and an assortment of sauces were provided to add different flavor profiles - spicy, sweet, tangy, etc. We sampled some sauces, which tasted great, but the food was well-seasoned, so we did not need to add any sauces. We both left happy and full. On another date, I also ordered an arroz con mariscos (rice with seafood). There was many pieces of seafood (mussels, crab, shrimp, squid) and it reminded me of the times I had paella in Spain. Icaru is an excellent addition to the New Haven food scene and is a must try for people interested in exploring the diversity of dining in New Haven!”
“We've had several lovely dinners here. My partner loves spicy food so he loves everything! I wanted something milder, and there were delicious options for that, too. At my recent visit I had the Doro Alicha and it was wonderful. Highly recommend.”

“Amazing food. Amazing people. Great with requests on the sandwiches. Everything feels and taste like your sitting down and eating a family meal together. Can't recommend more!”
“I was just thinking to myself how much I missed tikkaway. This is very very close. Really good! I had the rice bowl with chicken and madras sauce, and 1 samosa. Flavorful, filling, well done!”
“Cute little joint for a quick brew. There is technically seating but it's tiny- think garden shed- so I'd recommend you grab and go. Nice waitstaff, especially the older gentleman. Would try the middle eastern pastries, as they seem to be locally made fresh, while the baked goods are more standard.”
“Had a pick up order the Uber driver messed up but upon calling the establishment they corrected the order hassle free. Didn't get a view of the atmosphere since it was closing but from what I saw looked clean and friendly”
“The food is delicious ! I am grateful for the excellent customer service and welcoming atmosphere. I was so happy. Tasting great food I can eat makes me dance and smile!”
“2024) Even better service than when I first visited this diner. They serve all of the classic diner offerings. They have plenty of space for gatherings, meetings, etc. Plenty of parking spaces too.2017) I live nearby and I've wanted to try this place. It has easy access to I91. The food presentation and quality was great. The service was also good.”
“Absolutely love this place! Hands down the best acai bowls…so fresh and delicious. Doesn’t compare to any other açaí bowl I’ve had at other places. Been meaning to try their savory dishes but whenever I get there I can’t resist ordering an açaí bowl. They’re very considerate and accommodating of my daughter’s food allergies as well!”
“I hear al ot about new haven having the best pie I had better in Newton at pizza palace and haven't had any better then fioris in Pittsburgh but the staff are decent over all a kinda wierd exchange with a the guy who felt like he ran the place when I was paying up he asked if I knew uncle Sam assuming I didn't know about taxes or even cared he must of thought my steering at the menu was something other then curiosity of the actual menu not the price Flux but the pizza was definitely far from the worse 4 outta 5”
“We got the Ube cake for my birthday and got really good comments from the people who have tried it — including me and my husband. The icing is not too sweet and the cake is moist!”
“The food was so good...authentic experience 100%... the bread even gets imported from Philadelphia. Bacon was cooked perfect! The sliced ribeye was the chef's kiss! Shout out to the cook, her name was Amber and shawty clearly knows what she's doing on that grill!! Taste of Philly is the perfect way to describe this place!! It's an experience of Philly here in New Haven, as a CT resident that loves visiting Philly for the history and the food this is perfect!! I'll be back fasho!”
“Quality of coffee: 4 - good espresso drinks. I've tried them a couple dozen times and they have become more consistent this past year or so. There are flavoring options like hazelnut etc. Coffee (black) is slightly above average. Atmosphere: 4.5 - great seating areas and nooks in a historic hotel. Usually, students are studying at the various tables. Location: 5 - heart of downtown within walking distance to hundreds of restaurants and great bus/train service. Service: 5 - helpful staffValue: 4 - decent pricing Average: 4.5I can't recommend food options, as I've only had coffee here.”
“We came here on a Friday night and had the place to ourselves which was a shock after eating some phenomenal tacos with great service! We had the carnitas, birria, and asada tacos with a side of chips and salsa, and loved every bite! If we are ever back in New Haven we will be back!”
“Local neighborhood fav for me. Always have room. Good menu selections and a chill vibe. Menu supports local based ingredients and is organic based. I had the machego and Fig panini and strawberry and banana smoothie. Don't forget the pastries/desserts on your way out.Vegetarian options: Hummus, Machego & Fig PaniniDietary restrictions: Veggie stuffed guten free corn patty arepas. They use apple juice instead of milk in their smoothies.Parking: There is a small lot and street parking on West Rock near the park. Can also park in Westville Center paid lot and walk down. On a bus route.”
“Got the chicken arepa with avo and queso blanco, tequenos, and the chicken empanada! All were delish and the best I’ve had outside of Miami! But the star of the show were the two men working in the truck! Both were so kind and chatty! They gave us some samples if they’re fresh drinks, which were delicious as well! Would definitely recommend!!!”
“Just popped over to the cafe to grab a bite after reading reviews and was NOT disappointed! Tom was at the register and simply a pleasure to talk to. He recommended one of their egg sandwiches which was delicious (this means a lot coming from someone who isn’t a huge egg fan!); toasted with garlic salt, real white cheddar, a fried egg, and bacon- yum! Also grabbed a dirty chai and some fruit/walnut biscotti. Truth be told I’m having a hard time picking a favorite; the atmosphere and friendliness combined with the dynamite food will definitely make Cedarhurst my go to spot for traveling here in the future!”
“Thrilled to have a sushi restaurant of this caliber without going to NYC. Sushi is very fresh. Kudos to the chef’s extraordinary talent to create interesting and delicious combinations. Highly recommend.”
“We had heard so many great things about this fine restaurant we had to find out for ourselves. The food was scrumptious, the portions generous. The outdoor patio looked so inviting, but it was too hot that night. Next time!”
“We just ate there today everything they served us was amazing staff was really good for whatever we needed would recommend this place 1000 percentParking: Parking garage next to restaurantKid-friendliness: They where really understanding for 3 young boys great place food is awesome”
“like this place! They always have fresh vegetables and fruits for every season. It's clean, although it's quite small and definitely expensive!. However, I adore their selection of nuts and dried fruits in bulk.”
“I have been an avid fan of Vivas for thr last 30yrs. I started going there in college, and I fell in love w the food, the owners, and the ambience. Kathy and Bruce sold the place, and I hadn't gone to check it out until this passed week... still amazing! The new owner commands the helm and demands perfection; he is ready to please. My wife had a fantastic monitor, fresh and delicious ?. We shared churros and I took some empanadas home; both were spot on. The crowd was fun, the place filled... soccer adorned the screens, and pleasant music filled our ears. Nothing has changed with the decor,, and that's a good thing; if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Vivas is a must do if you are in New Haven, CT and looking for a cool place to eat and socialize. 5 stars ?”
“Chestnut fine foods has served New Haven for so long with such kindness, mastery and grace.Patricia is the kindest person, and Fred is a master chef, second to none. From crab cakes with sauce to die for, quiche and eggplant parmigiana that is exquisite, to other dishes available for catering! They also have a selection ofsandwiches on homemade bread, soup of the day and the best is for last…The cookies are a fan favorite, but be sure to check out the other sweets like their signature butter finger chewyYou will not find a ‘finer’ place to eat in New Haven! The staff is incredible, bon appetite !”
“The pizza was excellent, the staff was really helpful. If you’re ever in the New Haven Connecticut area this is a must try. I drove 40 minutes and it was well worth the drive.”
“great place! had quick bite before a show at College st. the staff was wonderful and sensitive to our time constraints. food was delicious and creative. wine list was top notch. definitely recommend.”
“Great tacos and great service and great owner. While there the owner shared some culture with us and gave us this delicious sweet bread he had made. Atmosphere is cute and clean. The food was real good!”
“This is the Best Bistro in the area. The food is delicious, service is impeccable. They are very accommodating. Two years ago I celebrated my Birthday there. ❤️”
“I definitely recommend Atticus Market! I had the mushroom sandwich which was so good. As a vegetarian, it can be hard to find good food of substance. This sandwich was well balanced and had good flavor! I also had a side of hash browns which are some of the best I’ve ever had - SO GOOD. My only complaint is that the store is cramped if there’s more than a handful inside.”
“Amazing food! I had the Fried Shrimp and Clam strip platter. Their seafood is so fresh! The seasoning is perfect! I will be a frequent customer! Also, the fries and onion rings were delicious!”
“My friends wanted to meet up and had picked out this ramen spot. I ordered the spicy beef ramen with marinated egg, and a bowl of edamame... both were superb.I didn't take a picture of the edamame, but it was prepared very well and had a wonderful taste. Seemed like it was pan cooked with soy sauce and garlic maybe. Either way, it was very good, and I enjoyed my ramen as well.Nice little spot that was a pleasant surprise. The edamame alone would have me return and try a different entree and maybe some sake in a beaker, in the future.”
“This was a first visit to House of Naan for my wife and I, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We ordered onion bhajis, naan bread, and chicken Madras and Jalfrezi. The level of heat is to order, and my wife had the mild Jalfrezi while I upped the spice a bit on my dish. Both were excellent, and the bhajis were crisp and well seasoned. The portions were large enough to leave enough for lunch the next day. I'm sure I would have enjoyed the kheer or a mango lassi, but I left more than full. Next time!”
“Food is always amazing here, great atmosphere, delicious cocktails. But I'm really writing this review as a shout out to Felix, he was the best waiter I've had in recent memory! Great vibes, attentive, friendly, all around a 10/10 he was the best!!”
“If customer service was a restaurant, Barcelona is it! We were visiting a friend in the city and he recommended doing tapas to try different things. He suggested Barcelona and talked proudly about their brussel sprouts. However, when we got their our waitress said they no longer had them. She could have stopped there. Instead, she said she'd asked the kitchen what other vegetables could they prepare like the brussel sprouts. Then, she brought out a complimentary order of leeks for us to taste. THEY WERE AMAZING. My friend asked if they still did half bottles of wine on Sunday. They no longer do but she brought a sample of a wine she recommended. Meanwhile, a female manager came out to apologize for not having the brussel sprouts and wanted to know if we'd enjoyed the leeks. The waitress came back to check on us several times and was so super sweet. My friend was simply asking if they still did the drink chips for completing the survey. She was like, we are 3 for 3 on not being able to fulfill your request; let me get you a free dessert. She left to get the dessert and another manager, Kenneth came over. He'd found some tokens and gave them to my friend. He not only brought the chips over, he took the time to talk with us about some of the changes they've made. He also talked about life, kindness, and customer service. When the waitress returned with the cake, thanked us again for coming and kept the most polite disposition. They didn't have to do ANYTHING, and we weren't looking for them to. But they went SO above and beyond, and it was all proactive. This was by far one of THE BEST experiences I've had and I can't say enough about how great Barcelona is. I'll definitely be back!”
“This place was magnificent, the absolute best interactions are experienced here. The food is quality, the preparations is done on the spot. The mix of different ethnicities within the employees making this place racially balanced. I honestly felt the love here, the food makes the connection between them and your heart. Thank you Sandra for such a great experience.Kid-friendliness: Omg! They are great with children.”
“Great sushi, and the dinner plates are creative and delicious. My favorite Kosher sushi in CT, and better than most places in NYC and Long Island… Easily the best by price.”

Prime 16
“We chose Prime16 because we wanted a good burger before going to a game. We had no idea what we were in for! Staff was great. Atmosphere is great. The fried pickles were amazing! My husband had the Belgian borehole burger and ate it all! I had a Gruyère and Brie grilled cheese with homemade blueberry jam, which is not something I’d typically order. Best sandwich of my life!!! We live an hour away and don’t travel that far for food, but we will be back for sure!!!”

Caffe Bravo
“Our server was friendly yet professional! Our dinner was exceptional! The dessert was the best we have ever had.My two critiques would be if the artichoke hearts were egg battered with a lemon butter sauce they would have been perfect! The offering was good but could be better. The fresh pasta for the fish dish was ok but dry pasta is the better choice with a fish sauce. We will come back, can’t wait to try other entrees.”
“Its a breath of fresh air as a craft beer lover to find a spot specializing in traditional german styles and not just shoving overproduced mediocre IPAs down your throat. They make a mean pilsner and dunkel with a nice rotating fruit gose as well. The venue is also super pretty offering a fun trivia night. The soft pretzels are fantastic but it's also in a perfect spot with the New Haven food court next door which they let you order and bring into the brewery!”

Bella's Cafe
“Simply tremendous breakfast and brunch food, atmosphere and service. The food is “Upscale Comfort Food” and is simply the best. From the coffee, Lattes, pancakes, incredible French toasts, omelettes, or specials like Shrimp & Grits. The breads and biscuits and other sides are all special. We went mid day on a Tuesday and there was no wait.”
“The food and service are unebeatable. The owner, Mahesh, is incredibly considerate and kind. He was super accomodating with our catering order and made our event really special. The food was to DIE for! I'd give six stars if I could!”

Villa Lulu
“Food was amazing, service was great, our sever angel was friendly and very attentive to us during our Valentines dinner. The octopus was some of the best I’ve ever had along with the lobster ravioli! Look forward to coming by again for dinner soon!”
“Had dinner here last night. The service was great and the food tasted delicious but the portions are really small for the price. My son order tikka masala and there were 5 small chunks of chicken for over $20! My biryani was also very tasty but it was hard to find the chicken in it, so it was mostly rice. Not sure it’s really worth the money.”

Sitar
“I had driven by Sitar for about 7 months now and finally decided to give it a try on a rainy day. I am an avid Indian food lover so whenever there is an opportunity to add a new Indian restaurant to my rotation, I take the chance. When we stepped in there were no patrons inside but there were quite a lot of doordash orders being picked up - glad they are doing well on that front. We sat down and ordered lamb samosa, regular naan, chicken vindaloo, lamb rogan josh, a masala chai, and a thandai. The food exceeded my expectations and was one of the best Indian restaurants I have been to in CT. The vindaloo was perfectly hot and seasoned, the lamb rogan josh packed all the seasoning in there that I craved. It overall was great!”
“Food had good flavor, great presentation, in a timely manner, but was too salty. I highly recommend the calamari. So tender and not greasy!Parking: Lots of parkingWheelchair accessibility: There was a ramp to get in the restaurant”
“Went with another couple and sat at table in front window, where it was quiet and provided a view of the entire restaurant. Appetizers and sushi were outstanding. The lava cake was amazing. Service was superb. We used to regulars but hadn't been since the pandemic. One of the finest dining experiences in New Haven!”
“The place is very sophisticated and neat. The customer service was A1 and the waitresses were very friendly. Additionally, the decoration of the restaurant represents Peruvian culture in great detail and is reflected in the delicious dishes we order. I won't be able to stop recommending this restaurant.”
“This is the perfect little breakfast spot! The raspberry bombolone was decadent, and a great staff recommendation!! I will definitely be back next time I’m in New ”
“Group of 8 had absolutely rockin Friday night dinner! Very friendly service, food was amazing. Had drinks at the bar after dinner waiting for Ubers. We will be back.”
“Came here on a quiet weeknight and was amazed by the authentic Italian cuisine. Started off with a wonderful Burrata then I had the Rigatoni Bolgenese with was really good. We also bought a loaf of the Italian Bread to bring home. That bread with some Cabot butter and you are on to something!! Would visit again.”
“Giving a four because I like the idea of the venue and think it has potential but it was very empty. Two of the vendors listed on the website have closed so there are only 2 options for food and while the sandwich place was good it was very expensive. Sushi was also good and Rick’s bar was great but on a Thursday night I don’t think there were even a dozen people inside. Will definitely return when a few mor vendors open.”

Tiger Daddy
“Deliciousss. Love this. Goto spot for hotpot in new haven. I love the pork bone broth soup and the prices are quite reasonable. It is very very good. I wished they use spam instead of luncheon meat tho.”

Adriana's
“Food, service, ambiance, and cost were excellent. 6 dinner, 2 apps, 12 cocktails. I had the veal chop special and was delicious and a huge portion. The leftovers were even great a few days later, rewarmed, in the oven, not the microwave. Old school Italian feel with original dishes. Definitely recommend.”

116 Crown
“We dined at 116 for my child's birthday and the food and drinks were excellent, the staff was very attentive, and we had a good time. It's a place where old memories and new mix. The hangar steak was very good.”
“Very pleasant ownerI got the 1/2 chicken with rice!!!Kindly greeted and served with a smileFood is fresh and the establishment is clean and the prices are reasonableI strongly suggest trying them out!!!”
“I personally took the trip 45 minutes away to get the oxtails from this place but last Friday I went there and I ordered my usual but I got the Rasta pasta I added shrimp omg I ate it the next day it still was fantastic I recommend everyone who lives here to eat there and plus there friendly.”

L'Orcio
“I love this restaurant and think it is one of the best in New Haven. Tonight we enjoyed the fresh pasta with mushrooms and Branzino, crème brûlée and tiramisu. Everything was perfectly delicious. The only imperfection was the rather long wait we had for our waitress to take our orders. She was perfectly nice and did a good job. The upstairs is quiet and easy to hear your companions talk. It would be nice to have more art on the walls upstairs.”
“This has been an amazing experience. I have been going here for years and have tried most of the items in the menu. The pizza and sandwiches are amazing and really shine in this retro diner especially compared to the rest of new haven. Everything is freshly made and really good.”
“We had two delicious pasta dishes and I highly recommend the wide linguini with lobster in pink vodka sauce. It was wonderful. We also commend the friendly wait staff and charming decor. We'll be back soon!”
“Great! Just great from the svc to the appetizers, wine selectionsto the pizza! Marissa was my waitress and such a great help with wines and the menu! This will be my sweet spot as a Brooklyn girl, here hanging at Yale! Thank you Brazi ? ??”

Chef Jiang
“Did not plan to eat at Chef Jiang's but I'm so glad we did! Personally, my favorite dine-in Chinese restaurant. The hot pot was absolutely delicious. Great vegan options for me and meat options for my husband. Will definitely be back”

Anchor Spa
“This is my first time coming to this restaurant, I usually try something new weekly.I was treated very well, the food and drinks are A1, read the menu and, pay attention to what you order before you complain. The staff constantly checked in on me multiple times through out my stay.If I was a “social media” person I’d definitely suggest this place to Everyone!”
“Food is Delicious. Honey corn bread, honey lemon pepper wings, tacos on point. Just need a little hot sauce on the side. Will be buying Again. Oh and order with enough time gets busy ?”
“Every time I come here I'm never disappointed. The happy hour is one of the best happy hours I've been too. The service is impeccable. The shrimp cerviche was really good too, just need more tortilla chips on the side! Helps soak up the delicious sauce it comes with. The street corn (elote) amazing. Awesome place!”
“Before I went to this restaurant, I read the reviews. There were some negative reviews. I guess any restaurant can have a bad night.I have to say I had great service and the food was excellent. I would definitely go back and I’d definitely recommend it to friends and family. I had a great dinning experience..”
“The food was better than I remembered. Can highly recommend the squash blossoms, bolognese, and duck. Last time we were there it was packed. Fewer people this visit. Prices seem to have increased. If you are sitting at the high tops, it is always cold during the cooler seasons from door opening. All that being said, it is the perfect place for dinner before the theatre.”
“The coconut, sea salt & vanilla bean and this (pictured) orange, citrus & grapefruit cold pressed juices are some of the best I’ve ever had! The grapefruit certainly woke me up today.”

La Unica
“From the Bronx, we were on our way to Ikea in New Haven CT. We crossed path with La Unica. Took a chance and El Bori provided excellent customer service! The Alcapurrias de yuca/ Parcha drink were on fire! Delicious!!! Next time, will try other food on the menu. I have no doubt it will be as delicous and authentic comida Boricua.Keep up the great job! See ya next time!”
“Such a neighborhood gem of a place! It continues to evolve throughout the years while maintaining the same character and charm coupled with great clientele you appreciate! Been visiting for 20+ years and always make it a must stop on my trips back to CT. Cheers to everyone here!”
“The wings are so good. We were in town visiting family, and they took us here to try the wings. It's an old establishment with a lot of character. The staff was very friendly and they seated us pretty quickly. We all got wings. They came out hot and covered in sauce. I got the mango habenero sauce, and it was the perfect blend of sweet and spicy. The wings were large in size, too. An order of 7 was enough to fill me up. They had a good selection of beers, too. Give it a try if you are looking for a historic pub with great food and spirits.”
“Lovely place with great decor and vibe. Beer was good, I had IPA. Pizza was very light and tasted very fresh, I ordered Funghi. We went as a big group on Wednesday night. They had good jazz music live play! Overall very good. They also have plenty of parking as compared to other restaurants in New Haven.Vegetarian options: Good veg and vegan optionsParking: They have plenty of parking as compared to other restaurants in New Haven.”

Cave a' Vin
“The bartender, Stefan, THE BEST. His personality is a vibrant concoction of charm and wit, infusing the bar with an infectious energy. With each pour, he serves not just drinks but a side of banter that keeps patrons engaged and entertained. A maestro behind the bar and a captivating host, his charisma turns every visit into a memorable experience. You'll find yourself not just savoring the wine he ever so carefully selected, but also savoring the delightful moments he effortlessly crafts throughout the evening. This place is a gem!”
“The best taco for $1.50 and the guy had the best customer service he was polite and professional. I was eating at Ixtapa for $2 taco and it was just okay and then I switched to "la Petrona " for $1.50 a taco and it was bad now I'm w Mexicalli and I think its the best all around.”

IL GABBIANO
“We had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. Food was excellent table was great facing the water. But the best part of our dining experience was our server. Her name Is LeeAnn and she was wonderful! So friendly, professional, caring and a beautiful smile. I would say that she was the BEST server that I have ever encountered and I have been to many different restaurants all over the world. We had a long day and a tough one and this wonderful person turned out day into a positive one. Thank you for your fab food and wonderful staff especially LeeAnn. See you again real soon!!”

“I went to Pacifico for the first time before the show at the music hall and I’ll be going back very often. My friends and I sat at the bar and Oscar, the bartender took such good care of us. Everything was outstanding! Starting from the service we received when we got there, to their drinks, food and environment. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking to have a good time”

Claypot Chef
“Great little food truck along the wharf in New Haven. Very fresh and made to order. My daughter ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, light on spice, and it was a huge portion, piping hot and with mellow spices. I ordered the saag paneer and it was fantastic. The rice is light and fluffy and the dish was spicing and well seasoned. We were both really pleased with our choices.”
“Haley totally made our experience amazing! We came here before a show at college music hall amd my mom has a SERIOUS dairy allergy. She bent over backwards to ensure we got a suitable meal and her smile and compassion was fantastic. We will be back. Fantastic service and yummy food! Thank you!”
“Came here for a friends birthday and he was looking for an elevated Chinese restaurant - New Haven’s Taste of China fit the bill. We started off with delicious jasmine tea. We tried and assortment of dumplings but my favorite were the vegetable ones. For our main course we shared the tea smoked duck, the kung pao chicken, and the mongolian beef. Overall they were pretty good but they didn’t wow me. If someone was looking for Chinese in the New Haven area I would throw New Haven’s Taste of China in the mix.”
“Being from Alabama, we have a high standard for BBQ. Ricky D’s is the best BBQ we have found in New Haven. The sauce is so good we brought home a bottle. The buffalo wings slapped as well. Definitely going to be a staple for us.”
“listen...Monterey got it right! the classic chicken is the truth! you don't have to ride out to the North Haven chicken place anymore, new Haven has its own!”
“My husband and I enjoyed a delicious breakfast overlooking the beautiful green and Yale university from the hotels 19th floor restaurant. Christine was our sweet and efficient server, she even looked up exactly who John Davenport was and when as cofounder of New Haven. We’ll be back!Parking: The restaurant stamped your parking ticket making it free!”

Pizza Haven
“Used to go there very often years ago when I worked in the neighborhood I just went there to pick up a salad it was delicious as ever Place has been there I think 24 years It is very delicious go eat there. I always used to get the pizza haven salad, or the chicken parm . For today it was just like I remembered you get Pizza Haven salad and some boneless wings can't go wrong!”
“?This place has awesome snacks, very tasty!?It’s difficult to find a parking spot on Grand Ave., but the service is very fast so, it would be ok for a quick pick up!?People there are very friendly.?We spent around $10 per person.”

Steamed
“It's a cozy little place with friendly service and fantastic food. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is that there is no vegan protein offered (other than edamame). They couldn't throw some tofu in the veggie dishes? But otherwise this is comfort food for the soul. Take a look at these bok choy and scallion dishes I had yesterday:”
“Excellent burgers hand pressed patties served with delicious French fries LT on fresh brioche roll. Yummy ..Friendly environment in WestVille area a definite go too..”

“We did take out and we only wish the portions were bigger because the food was amazing, creative, and a breath of fresh air for the kind of things that are usually around the area. We're sad we just learned of it as we're moving cross country but we hope this place continues to thrive.”

“Service is always outstanding! The food is absolutely delicious and honestly their pizza... way better then Frank Pepe.. slices are affordable, servings are more then generous and the quality is second to none! If you have a chance to stop by I highly recommend to!”
“Impeccable vibes. I came in with my fiancé during the afternoon and spent about 2 hours chatting with the bartender and other patrons at the bar. We had a fantastic time - this place really is an old-school, know-the-regulars, classic queer bar!”

“If i could give a zero i would , absolutely the worst customer service i have ever experienced. This was my first experience with them and i called to find out if they deliver, was told no and then hung up on in my face while asking another question. When i called back a second time the man pretended not to understand me and hung up in my face again. I called a third time asking for a manager and explained im a first time customer and I'm not aware of what they offer with no menu online available and how i was just trying to order he then proceeded to hang up agin on my face. Unbelievable will never get a dime of my money ever. To many pizza places in CT to not have the basic service of a business in the business of serving people.”
“My boyfriend and I ordered this from doordash. I love how its open late, because it was almost midnight and we were hungry. The pizza came fast, and it was so good!! We should have gotten a bigger size. It wasn’t that expensive either, I recommend this to college students.”
“This is the best pizza in New Haven, forget what you read from influencers and blogs. Pat is a master of the craft and there is nothing better than a cheese pizza fresh out of the oven. Do yourself a favor and eat there! This pizza is best when it's only a few minutes out of the oven.”
“This is a welcome throwback to authentic local Italian food, prepared old style. It's like you're touring thru a out of the way village in Tuscany and stopped in at a long established family ”
“One can get good burgers in a lowkey, sleepy, bar here. Not a first date night place, and it's tough to beat that around this area of New Haven. Thanks Contois”
“Don’t understand the mixed reviews, I’ve been ordering takeout from this place very often for three years and the sushi is always of great quality and very fresh. I’ve gotten salmon, tuna, yellowtail, and shrimp tempura sushi and it’s always been well prepared, neat, and tastes amazing. The food comes out real quick too, and you can get a good amount of sushi for a fairly good value. Can’t speak to anything other than the sushi here, but would definitely recommend to a friend.”
“Pizza is excellent. We get take out here a couple times a month for dinner and have never been disappointed. We love that the pizza is well done but never burnt. They put a ton of toppings on and their bacon is well done (without asking) which is a plus! They are also always very nice.”
“I had the fried chicken, Mac n cheese and collard greens. It was so delicious, it’s not easy finding a place that knows how to cook collard greens. The Red velvet cake was the perfect texture and taste IMO. Highly recommend!!!”
“the y charged me $20 for mofongo & it was dry they ripped me off but because I waited 15min & was in a rush to get to work I just paid for it even though I know it doesn't cost $20 ,I will never get it again from there smh,I give zero rating”
“What a wonderful relaxing place. The waitress was so attentive, friendly and kind. It is such a nice place to enjoy alone or with a friend etc.. for a couple hours.”
“Went here for Cinco De Mayo late at night. One woman was working by herself. She was kind, food was prepared pretty fast AND it was Delicious!!!!! Very good small hole in the wall dumpling spot. Thank you for your help :)”
“Absolute God tier fried chicken sandwich. Holy hell.Update:Been a loyal fan for 3 years but I have to say I’m concerned about quality as they rapidly scale up and add new locations. The new fries are really disappointing and I hope they go back to the old ones.”
“Pleasant atmosphere and super friendly staff. I had the veggie wrap with French Fries and food was very tasty. Great addition to East Rock and affordable prices.”

“I came from Virginia to visit my sister and kept hearing about it and wanted to try it. The Fresh Tomatoes Pizza was excellent! The staff was very friendly. Loved it!!”
“Great experience- food was delicious and brought out in a good time after ordering - our waitress was very attentive. A little noisy towards the end of our meal with a larger party coming in. Also appreciated having parking covered by the restaurant as well !”
“Just discovered the great music scene in New Haven recently and will often stay overnight if seeing a show at Toads or College St. We make it a point to always go to BAR for pizza and drinks before a show! I personally think it's the best New Haven style pizza. Service is great, drinks are fantastic and pizza beats out all the rest!! You will not be disappointed!”
“Grade B+ (89): I've been here now 4 times, that's a lot considering I live in California. The meat has been delicious, but this last time, Mar 2024, it wasn't like before, it used to be where they had 2 balls of meat (I think 1was Chuck & 1 was brisket) and they pressed them together at the last minute to make a patty, it really worked because it would look free form, not perfectly round, and the edges that are thin would cook a bit more than the middle etc. And it REALLY WORKED! This time they had the pattys all made up, I could tell they were 2 meats because one was darker color a bit like brown, (maybe left out a bit more?? Dunno), but the shape was like a regular burger, round and uniform. Not as good. Maybe it was a temporary chef, I hadn't seen him before. Well, for Lois lunch efficiency is not why people come here, they come for the taste of the meat and specially the texture. Just my 2c worth.”
“I absolutely adore Junior's drinks (best bartender) at the bar, and Noa's warmth and hospitality always make me feel right at home. It's my favorite spot to go after a long day. Absolutely go there.”
“This is a spacious open feeling restaurant with a good bar and spread out tables. The food is upscale but not over-priced (though what isn't anymore). The feel is you're welcome here and you can dress up or down. It's part of a hotel so a mix of interesting people. Yale parents, business people, locals.”
“Naomi is literally the best server she has created such a great environment with a welcoming atmosphere, the food is also phenomenal I have yet to have something on this menu that hasn’t impressed me. The food is so flavorful and fresh. And the esthetic here is very youthful yet classy. I would recommend this place to anyone of any age.”
“The staff is incredibly friendly, upbeat, and helpful. Above all, the bagels and shmears are nonpareil!!! The best anywhere. I’m sad that I don’t live in New Haven anymore.Vegetarian options: I think the majority of spreads are vegetarian”
“Their pizza is significantly better than others nearby. They're not Sally's or Pepe's or Modern. But they're the best pizza in downtown New Haven.”
“We celebrated my sister birthday here, as soon as we walked in we were greeted. Everyone was very nice and friendly, Jalinda was our waitress she was absolutely fantastic! She brought us all shots since it was my sister birthday even though she was on the clock we are definitely going back!”
“We arrived at 7 PM on Saturday. The hostess seated us quickly. Tables for two were very close to other patrons. Restaurant was very loud for being 2/3 full. I ordered my main course of duck breast medium rare and it came out medium well. My wife's salmon was also good just not exceptional. The octopus appetizer was excellent. Tuna tartare as well. Overall we would come back to try some other items. Sancerre and 538 Pinot Noir were good and offered by the glass.”
“We came here on a Friday night and had the place to ourselves which was a shock after eating some phenomenal tacos with great service! We had the carnitas, birria, and asada tacos with a side of chips and salsa, and loved every bite! If we are ever back in New Haven we will be back!”
“It was bartender, Justin’s first day and he is fantastic! I am a regular at Florian and some other New Haven hot spots, and Justin has the right personality and attention to service to do this with finesse!”
“What a beautiful quaint spot. Very elegant and lovely. You enter to either be seated or order at the register. I ate in and service was great. I had the Caprese panini and added chicken. It came with the fries. The food was great. The vegetables were a surprise. It was pickled and really good. I had Harvest Green Smoothie made with almond milk. LOVED IT! This place I highly recommend.”
