“Dangle's is a black-owned business in well established downtown. The restaurant is nice and quaint giving you the feels of being connected to the owner and staff. The food was delicious - delivered hot and fresh. The staff were friendly and accommodating. It behooves anyone reading this to try this place out. You won't be disappointed.“
“My organization hosted an event here and the staff couldn't have been more lovely and helpful throughout the whole process. Z was beyond kind and worked with me through every step of the process, even to make a custom drinks list (which all turned out DELICIOUS!!) The venue was absolutely stunning and I can't wait to return!!“
“I have been an avid fan of Vivas for thr last 30yrs. I started going there in college, and I fell in love w the food, the owners, and the ambience. Kathy and Bruce sold the place, and I hadn't gone to check it out until this passed week... still amazing! The new owner commands the helm and demands perfection; he is ready to please. My wife had a fantastic monitor, fresh and delicious ?. We shared churros and I took some empanadas home; both were spot on. The crowd was fun, the place filled... soccer adorned the screens, and pleasant music filled our ears. Nothing has changed with the decor,, and that's a good thing; if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Vivas is a must do if you are in New Haven, CT and looking for a cool place to eat and socialize. 5 stars ?“
“Easily accessible and in walking distance of the New Haven green. Got brussels sprouts and a large pizza. The brussels sprouts were cut and fried in a unique way I had never seen before but it was quite delicious. The pizza was also quite good although a little too much garlic for my tastes (and i love garlic)“
“Okay I have no idea how I've gone this long without going to Barcade or anything similar! I had SO much fun here. Between tetris, frogger, pacman, and mortal kombat, I could've been stuck here for hours! My sister and I got green tea shots and I got a beer to sip on. We came here after dinner somewhere else, so I don't know about the food here. I really had such a great time, I'd love to come back soon!“
“This was a first visit to House of Naan for my wife and I, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We ordered onion bhajis, naan bread, and chicken Madras and Jalfrezi. The level of heat is to order, and my wife had the mild Jalfrezi while I upped the spice a bit on my dish. Both were excellent, and the bhajis were crisp and well seasoned. The portions were large enough to leave enough for lunch the next day. I'm sure I would have enjoyed the kheer or a mango lassi, but I left more than full. Next time!“
“My friends wanted to meet up and had picked out this ramen spot. I ordered the spicy beef ramen with marinated egg, and a bowl of edamame... both were superb.I didn't take a picture of the edamame, but it was prepared very well and had a wonderful taste. Seemed like it was pan cooked with soy sauce and garlic maybe. Either way, it was very good, and I enjoyed my ramen as well.Nice little spot that was a pleasant surprise. The edamame alone would have me return and try a different entree and maybe some sake in a beaker, in the future.“
“Lovely atmosphere! We made reservations and were quickly seated upon arrival. Our waitress Daniela was very friendly and personable. She recommend us the ceviche mixto, lomo saltado and seafood chaufa of course, the food was wonderful!!! I highly recommend coming here! The atmosphere is very lively and lots of fun too. I'd recommend reservations since they did seem pretty packed on Friday night.“
“Fantastic venue for live music enthusiasts! Experience an incredible array of performances ranging from talented local musicians and jazz virtuosos to the hottest new acts on the scene. Don't miss out on this gem for a night of great tunes!“
“The spicy Thai peanut wings are worth the trip alone, but there's so much more to love about this place! Now if I could only marry my love of karaoke with the food, drink, and atmosphere here. I highly recommend a stop here. The food is amazing, the drinks are great, and the atmosphere is just what the doctor ordered. ❤️“
“Love this place. From the decor to the service to the freshhhh margs (fresh squeezed lime juice). We've been here a couple times and will continue to come back. The food is also amazing and love their diverse menu, makes it easy to go there with anyone !“
“Vintage dive bar with surprisingly delicious (and cheap) burgers, which are usually the only thing to eat (other than chips). Sometimes they have brats and hot dogs, which are also tasty. Limited but inexpensive beer selection and a character of an owner/proprietor/grill man. Clearly a place for regulars. Good outdoor seating in back. 4.5/5 stars. Best dive bar in East Rock (well, one of the only ones, but still very good).“
“Just discovered the great music scene in New Haven recently and will often stay overnight if seeing a show at Toads or College St. We make it a point to always go to BAR for pizza and drinks before a show! I personally think it's the best New Haven style pizza. Service is great, drinks are fantastic and pizza beats out all the rest!! You will not be disappointed!“
“I went last week to see the weekly comedy show (every Thursday at 9pm, hosted by comedian Marshall Brandon & Hot 93.7's Big Regg) and had a great time. The employees were super friendly and attentive. Did not have a chance to check menu/food out but will absolutely return for another great Thursday night out of laughs.“
“Had to rub my eyes to make sure that I was in New Haven because this restaurant stepped right out of Manhattan. Each dish we enjoyed was recommended by our sever as was the fabulous wine too. The chef introduced himself before seating and checked with us just as our larger plate arrived. He added very much to the overall ambiance.“
