“My only complaint is that they don't have any decent desserts. Otherwise a great place! Saw some people dressed too casually in street clothes. Should enforce business casual clothing People with small children should be seated away from others.“

“I’ve lived in CT for 50 yrs and this was my first visit to Toads Place. Awesome venue for a show. Small enough to feel intimate but big enough to offer space. Sound system was great and the acts are top notch. Enjoyed the event so much, made me feel like I was 18 again.“

“Randomly stumbled upon this place whilst doing a quick stop in New Haven. Bar man was from Ireland and made us feel extremely welcome and recommended good beers for us to try. The arcade games were an added bonus and we had a really great night. Great spot to spend a fun evening , will keep you occupied for a good few hours, highly recommend .“

“I stopped in on a Wednesday night (during Yale commencement) and it was packed. The bartender, Michael, was alone. On a normal night handling a bar alone is already impressive, but with how packed it was, he was straight up masterful. I was incredibly impressed with how calmly and professionally he handled himself. Even with it being as hectic as it was, he was still very kind, patient and charismatic. Truly extraordinary.“

“Dangle's is a black-owned business in well established downtown. The restaurant is nice and quaint giving you the feels of being connected to the owner and staff. The food was delicious - delivered hot and fresh. The staff were friendly and accommodating. It behooves anyone reading this to try this place out. You won't be disappointed.“

“3 of us came to watch my granddaughter play in a basketball tournament at SCSU. We had Googled 'dive bars' on the way. We were not disappointed. The neighborhood atmosphere was evident. From the 3 friendly patrons who greeted us to the genial bartender. A 'Cheers' atmosphere. The 'melt in your mouth' burgers were the best ever. And we were pleasantly amazed with the bill! A definite place to return.“

“Came to do trivia visiting from San Diego, CA. I gotta say what a good time! They have great food, greater drinks and impeccable service. Our server was Michelle and she was fantastic! We ordered the fish and chips and the turkey sub with fries. Both were delightful! We came in last place for trivia and got a consolation prize! ? Great times, good food, good people. Highly recommend for a casual night out for food and drinks!“

“Mory's has great food. I can't get enough of the moule frites. Mussels topped with French fries and this amazing mustard sauce. It'll make you want to lick the plate. But please don't. Caesar salad is also a huge portion and can be topped with an add-on of chicken, salmon and even tofu. There are vegetarian options as well.“

“The Spicy Miso 2.0 was really good at first. The broth was super rich and flavorful, but toward the end, it started to feel a little too heavy and had a slight bitterness to it. The pork belly was also a bit greasy. I think it would be better if it were cooked a little longer so more of the fat could render out.

I also really liked the tendon and tripe in the pho. The tendon was super soft, tender, and pleasantly gelatinous. The beef meatball was another highlight. It had a really strong garlic aroma.“

“Was there the other night for a friend’s party. Handled a huge crowd with grace. Ordered the enchiladas suizas with no cheese or crema— because dairy intolerance. They went the extra mile and put sliced avocados and onions on top. No one does that ever— I just eat sad enchiladas usually. They made it so nice! There was a kick to the green sauce— subtle and tasty. Was so good! And all my friends’ dinner and drinks looked amazing too! Giant cheladas and delicious margaritas. Can’t wait to go again!“

“Went there for my birthday on Saturday…. The atmosphere was very nice. Drinks really good. Music even better . Was having a good time until one of the bartenders told us to move in a rude way. No we have been dancing and coming back to the same spot at the bar so it was empty . Y ask us to move how abt the couple next to us. Or other people that have been standing there the same amount of time or longer. Not sure if I’ll go back which is really bad . 1 person can really ruin the way u see a place.“

“Decent drinks and food. Calamari is great for a bar. They haven't had the correct ingredients for drinks all week. Small things like cherries, orange bitters, orange peel, etc. Also run out of normal brands a lot.
Decent enough but a little pricey for not being able to get a correctly made drink.“

“We just went for a birthday dinner. And some had the restaurant week menu and some ordered off the regular menu and it was an amazing. The portions are so big. BUT GOOOOOD. Cocktails are so dam good.“
