I stopped in today on a busy Saturday, I was struggling a bit with my baby nephew. 2 staff immediately noticed and started playing with and talking to him while I got myself together. Another staff member saw how overwhelmed I was and brought over some ice water and kept checking in on us. “Ordered: slice of cheese pizza and a meatball sub with fries. I have been wanting to get pizza while in Connecticut and finally made it happen. I enjoyed my slice of cheese and wished I had gotten more than one slice. The meatball sub made me forget about wanting more pizza. Excellent toasted bread, the meatballs were sizable and the sauce and cheese were good. If you follow me then you know I like spicy so I’d recommend getting a cup of hot sauce to put on your pizza and to add to the sub, but even without hot sauce the food is great! The fries were crispy outside and a nicely cooked soft inside. I would recommend to all, they also have a regular restaurant aside from their vegan menu as part of their business so if you bring non vegan friends they can have whatever they want. “We recently attended a New Haven high school reunion at Lost In New Haven Museum. The Olde World Pizza Truck was hired to serve 70 people. The food and service was excellent. Everybody in attendance commented how good the experience was. The staff was friendly and professional, serving different pies on a timely basis. The salad and Gelato was a nice added touch. There was plenty of extra pizza for the people to take home. All trash was cleared, no extra work. I highly recommend this company.“

I don't eat anyone else's sweet potato pie, but the filling in this sweet potato cookie tastes like my mom's recipe! Oh my taste like home and made me cry! This cookie reminds me of holidays at home. If they're hot, I devour one in the car before I even drive off! They go well with coffee or alone. She has other desserts as well. You taste the butter and love in the cookies! The cupcakes are moist and dee-lish! You are always greeted with a smile. I'm so glad I found this gem in Bridgeport!“

“I’m a late-comer to original Frank Pepe’s due to distance. Oh, what I have been missing! You do need to be strategic about timing because it’s very popular — because it’s exceptionally good. Fairly easy access from I-95.“

The cornbread base was sweet without being cloying and mixed with the pork and pineapple, OH MY GOD! My dish came with a side of some of the most flavorful rice I have ever had and it was topped with some sweet plantains. The serving is more than generous. I'm a big girl and I am easily getting 2 meals out of my order. The prices are very reasonable! Do yourself a favor and find this hidden gem while you are in town. You will not be disappointed!“

“Everyone talks about Sally's or Frank Pepe's apizza here and there but frankly the best pizza I've had in New Haven so far is from this spot. They do take forever to make your pizza on busy days, regardless it is well worth waiting for. I'm assuming the pizza would be less expensive if they didn't charge so much for toppings. The pizzas are huge, plan accordingly with a group of buddies instead of ordering a whole pie for yourself. Would say the same of the calzone, which a friend got“

“Usually their salads are delicious. But today i came by, right when they opened up (prob a mistake) and ordered a crispy chicken salad … My salad was done in about 5 mins …. ( how can chicken be cooked that fast?) Anyway, i tried to eat the salad for dinner. My croutons were stale, the bread was stale and tomatoes along with the cucumbers tasted like theve been sitting out from the night before. I doubt chicken was freshly made. I’m so disappointed. Next time i know not to come right when they open up.“
