“My husband and I used to go to this place ALL THE TIME OVER FOURTEEN years ago for lunch when we lived in Connecticut. The food was always amazing. It was always so consistent so we stayed coming back. And the staff was always friendly and profesional.
Needless to say when we flew back to Connecticut last week, we had to stop by here.
To my Pleasant surprise the place had not changed a bit. They did upgrades they painted it looked beautiful. But it was still the same place that we used to go to. We ordered the same thing that we always order which he orders the crispy duck (it is amazing) and I ordered the chicken and broccoli. It is amazing.Again to my pleasant surprise, the food tasted exactly how it did 14 years ago. I was so happy!!!! You guys have to try this place. It's amazing. The food is worth the money. The ice cream was delicious! They had several flavors to choose from. It was hard to decide on just one. The atmosphere is modern and cute! “We recently attended a New Haven high school reunion at Lost In New Haven Museum. The Olde World Pizza Truck was hired to serve 70 people. The food and service was excellent. Everybody in attendance commented how good the experience was. The staff was friendly and professional, serving different pies on a timely basis. The salad and Gelato was a nice added touch. There was plenty of extra pizza for the people to take home. All trash was cleared, no extra work. I highly recommend this company.“

“Lisa has developed a unique and delicious vegan burger that this unlike anything else on the market anywhere. While many other veggie burgers are high in carbohydrates and/or fat, the Beastie Burger is high in protein and low in fat and carbs, and it tastes fantastic. Even my friends who are not vegan or vegetarian love them!! I always have some in my freezer and I pull them out and make them whenever I need a quick, satisfying meal that tastes amazing. “I was in town visiting, enjoying the holiday & I I had been looking for vegan options. At first I thought Vegan & Italian.. impossible but I was intrigued nonetheless. So I drove to Bella’s ordered the vegan garlic knots, vegan cheese pizza and the vegan strawberry cake. & to my surprise it was PHENOMENAL. In NYC I cannot find the perfect vegan slice. The slices I’ve come across are usually pretty thin or the cheese is weird.

But this was perfect. Nice amount of dough, perfect amount of sauce and the cheese just ooey & gooey how I remember it to be before I transitioned to the vegan life almost 10 years ago. The garlic knots; piping hot, fresh and well-seasoned. The strawberry cake was the cherry on top. I enjoy good food, but when the food is everything I imagine the only thing left to do is leave a review. I’m happy I caught them on a slow day. I’ll have to take another trip to CT just to visit Bella.“

“My husband surprised me with a dinner gathering at Red Lotus. Immediately upon walking in we were greeted by two staff members and the owner Larry. Gary was our server who I must say was by far the best server we have ever had. Gary and Larry truly made us feel like we were the only ones there (they had a full house) the food was delicious we were a party of 8 and all had different plates none of us were disappointed with our food. The presentation of the plates were beautiful! Larry made sure to come to our table and assure we were satisfied with our food and service took time out to talk with us and build a relationship. The staff were probably ready for us to leave because we have four neurodivergent kids, some with high needs in certain settings, so we certainly were not quiet. We ate inside not being offered outside options. It appears they have a patio in the back, so we would have done better there. Luckily most of the kids ate their grilled cheese and my friend loved her salad. We don’t live close do you probably won’t see us again, but I highly recommend the diner despite the dirty looks from staff.“
