“My husband surprised me with a dinner gathering at Red Lotus. Immediately upon walking in we were greeted by two staff members and the owner Larry. Gary was our server who I must say was by far the best server we have ever had. Gary and Larry truly made us feel like we were the only ones there (they had a full house) the food was delicious we were a party of 8 and all had different plates none of us were disappointed with our food. The presentation of the plates were beautiful! Larry made sure to come to our table and assure we were satisfied with our food and service took time out to talk with us and build a relationship. “Started with the beef kefta kabob, served with jasmine rice, Arabic (tomato and herb) salad, pita bread, and tzatziki sauce. The beef was well-seasoned with traditional Mediterranean spices and really tasty. Finished with a pistachio cake with a pistachio mousse bottom layer, frozen cream center, and soft warm philo top. Everything was fresh and delicious! The service was prompt, but very friendly and helpful with picking out a dessert. “This is a great middle eastern restaurant / market! The restaurant is great. We got the falafel, lamb bebab, and chicken bebab.

The lamb bebab was amazing, perfectly spiced. The rice was also great. The hummus was clearly homemade. The grape leaves were also amazing and clearly homemade.

The falafel was not that good, but I have had a LOT of homemade falafel so it's not a fair comparison. Their pita was awful, since they used stuff from the bag.“

“This is my first time trying Columbian food and I am hooked!!!!! The AL Pastor Columbian style Arepas is by far one of the most delicious things I have had in a long time. The cornbread base was sweet without being cloying and mixed with the pork and pineapple, OH MY GOD! My dish came with a side of some of the most flavorful rice I have ever had and it was topped with some sweet plantains. The serving is more than generous. I'm a big girl and I am easily getting 2 meals out of my order. The prices are very reasonable! Do yourself a favor and find this hidden gem while you are in town. You will not be disappointed!“

“Usually their salads are delicious. But today i came by, right when they opened up (prob a mistake) and ordered a crispy chicken salad … My salad was done in about 5 mins …. ( how can chicken be cooked that fast?) Anyway, i tried to eat the salad for dinner. My croutons were stale, the bread was stale and tomatoes along with the cucumbers tasted like theve been sitting out from the night before. I doubt chicken was freshly made. I’m so disappointed. The vegetable dinner option I enjoyed today was perfect. I highly recommend the cabbage, black eye peas, and Caribbean rice along with the amazing potato salad. And I must add that the moist, scrumptious, and famous corn bread couldn’t have been better. Sandra’s is a place I will return to. The diner coffee was good. The service was great and bathroom tidy. There are two stalls if you are larger than 5'5 and have some body on you wait for the larger stall.“

“My husband and I used to go to this place ALL THE TIME OVER FOURTEEN years ago for lunch when we lived in Connecticut. The food was always amazing. It was always so consistent so we stayed coming back. And the staff was always friendly and profesional.
Needless to say when we flew back to Connecticut last week, we had to stop by here.
To my Pleasant surprise the place had not changed a bit. They did upgrades they painted it looked beautiful. But it was still the same place that we used to go to. We ordered the same thing that we always order which he orders the crispy duck (it is amazing) and I ordered the chicken and broccoli. It is amazing.Again to my pleasant surprise, the food tasted exactly how it did 14 years ago. I was so happy!!!! You guys have to try this place. It's amazing. The food is worth the money. “First time ordering here but we were all tired & no one wanted to cook & this was nearby. I was scared to order after reading some of these reviews. But we were all pleasantly surprised. Yes it’s standard Chinese fare but it was good. There was a lot of meat in every dish we ordered (Lo Mein, chicken chow Mein, pork fried rice, sweet & sour chicken) and it was perfectly cooked. I didn’t care for the fried wontons but everyone else liked them. Wonton soup had plenty of wontons and was yummy. Loved the sweet & sour chicken - very lightly fried so it wasn’t heavy & dull. We all voted we would go here again.“
