“This place make you feel like you’re eating in front of Lungomare Mergellina in NAPLES, Italy. Absolutely fantastic pizza, pasta and everything you see on the menu. If you’re familiar with a real and authentic pizza this is the right place for you, won’t find a place like this in the whole state of CT. Food is fresh, pizza is not greasy like every other place you go and your stomach doesn’t feel heavy after eating here. You smell authentic as soon as you walk in. Great job and thank you for having a place like this in CT.“
“ATTENTION ASHLEY: Okay this might be a first ever but I’m gonna shoot my shot here. Pizza was great and so was service but there was a waitress named Ashley that I thought was gorgeous. I was on a date and didn’t want to be rude to my date but now that’s it over, Ashley if you see this follow me on IG and let’s talk. Id come by in person but I was only in town for the night. Recent pic below. IG is @thomaswilsonpace ❤️“
“Fabulous food, wonderful atmosphere and great staff. Noise was a bit loud, but being in a booth made all the difference. Our waiter was great, but very busy and he had a lot of tables so it took awhile to order. He was great after that - very attentive and many other helpers. Our 3rd time there and definitely my favorite spot in New Haven!!!“
“Consiglio's is a top notch Italian restaurant in New Haven. Food is phenomenal, service is fantastic and an overall outstanding experience. I never eat the same entree when we go there! So many choices and such amazing specials. Highly recommend.“
“Nice, small cozy dining room. Servers were friendly and conversational. Food was great. few starters and main courses. Meatballs are fantastic. Took quite awhile for food to arrive and check took along time aswell. Specially for not being busy that night. Would still go back and recommend. For friends family or date “
“Sally’s Apizza is always the best! My go-to order is their mouthwatering garlic basil and hot pepper pizza. The combination of flavors is simply irresistible—the garlic adds a savory kick, the fresh basil brings a burst of herbal freshness, and the hot pepper adds just the right amount of heat. Each bite is a perfect balance of flavors and textures. Whether dining in or grabbing takeout, Sally’s consistently delivers an unforgettable pizza experience.Vegetarian options: Options to customize if you want to have vegetarian pizza.“
“Great pizza and sides. Should be in the New Haven Pizza conversation more often.Brick oven, Fresh ingredients, nice crunch and undercarriage/ crust. About 5 two person tables So not much for sitting in. More of a take out spot. Well worth it to go pick it up. Out of the down town city area. In Quiet East “
“We visited Skappo for my birthday yesterday and our initial walk in the door we were greeted by this lovely woman who cleared a table immediately so we were not waiting long. Then mom (we know from the great introduction) came over to say hello and commented on my necklace. The food was so good and it was like we were at Nonna's house!! We started with the antipasto and the stuffed figs.So glad we chose both because those stuffed figs alone were worth the trip back. For our entrees I got the bolognese and my husband got the ziti with a creamy sausage sauce, both were delicious!!! It is worth the trip and we know we will be making return visits!! Thank you for your warm welcome and delicious food!!Beth and DaveVegetarian options: Last night the lasagna was vegetarian“
“Food was amazing, service was great, our sever angel was friendly and very attentive to us during our Valentines dinner. The octopus was some of the best I’ve ever had along with the lobster ravioli! Look forward to coming by again for dinner soon!“
“Our server was friendly yet professional! Our dinner was exceptional! The dessert was the best we have ever had.My two critiques would be if the artichoke hearts were egg battered with a lemon butter sauce they would have been perfect! The offering was good but could be better. The fresh pasta for the fish dish was ok but dry pasta is the better choice with a fish sauce. We will come back, can’t wait to try other entrees.“
“Delicious! I had the eggplant parm. My daughter had the chicken shawarma. We split a baba ganoush appetizer and ended with a little sweetness (baklava). The servers were so nice and the food was 5 stars. We’re just in town for a college visit, but if my daughter ends up in college here, this will be our “go to” place for Mediterranean food.“
“I love this restaurant and think it is one of the best in New Haven. Tonight we enjoyed the fresh pasta with mushrooms and Branzino, crème brûlée and tiramisu. Everything was perfectly delicious. The only imperfection was the rather long wait we had for our waitress to take our orders. She was perfectly nice and did a good job. The upstairs is quiet and easy to hear your companions talk. It would be nice to have more art on the walls upstairs.“
“Went with friend on Sunday evening. He is regular and recommended it. Perfect meal with appetizer, wine ,main course and dessert.Had mussels. lasagne. and lemon iceAlso some white wineMussels were in tasty garlic sauce. Wish I had more room for bread to sop it up. He took some of sauce home.Lasagne excellent. Homemade noodles.Brenda the waitress was excellent attentive to our needs.A bit pricey and street parking are only neogative comments“
“We used the smaller room for a family event and had the best experience. Catering was amazing to work with and planning was very smooth. The restaurant is gorgeous and the food was exceptional. The wait staff were such pros and I could relax and enjoy the party. I can’t recommend Tres Scalini enough for a party.Dietary restrictions: They made special meals for each person which were all delicious. Everyone was so happy.“
“Food, service, ambiance, and cost were excellent. 6 dinner, 2 apps, 12 cocktails. I had the veal chop special and was delicious and a huge portion. The leftovers were even great a few days later, rewarmed, in the oven, not the microwave. Old school Italian feel with original dishes. Definitely recommend.“
“We had dinner tonight at Nikki and Frankie's on Route 80 on the recommendation of a friend.. the eggplant was fantastic and made the right way the good old-fashioned Italian way.. the meatballs were legit the sauce was delish and couldn't be any fresher... we were welcomed like we were walking into aunties dining room and the place was clean as a whistle.. A must go to !“
“Came here on a quiet weeknight and was amazed by the authentic Italian cuisine. Started off with a wonderful Burrata then I had the Rigatoni Bolgenese with was really good. We also bought a loaf of the Italian Bread to bring home. That bread with some Cabot butter and you are on to something!! Would visit again.“
“Great! Just great from the svc to the appetizers, wine selectionsto the pizza! Marissa was my waitress and such a great help with wines and the menu! This will be my sweet spot as a Brooklyn girl, here hanging at Yale! Thank you Brazi ? ??“
“Before I went to this restaurant, I read the reviews. There were some negative reviews. I guess any restaurant can have a bad night.I have to say I had great service and the food was excellent. I would definitely go back and I’d definitely recommend it to friends and family. I had a great dinning experience..“
“Lovely place with great decor and vibe. Beer was good, I had IPA. Pizza was very light and tasted very fresh, I ordered Funghi. We went as a big group on Wednesday night. They had good jazz music live play! Overall very good. They also have plenty of parking as compared to other restaurants in New Haven.Vegetarian options: Good veg and vegan optionsParking: They have plenty of parking as compared to other restaurants in New Haven.“
“Stopped in on our stop in Ct. we live in Florida now( ( almost 30 years) but were born and raised in NewHaven, East Haven Branford. Our lunch was so delicious, I had eggplant on a hard roll, so delicious I could still taste it, not everyone makes eggplant correctly. My husband had a meatball sub, he so enjoyed it( and not easily pleased)the bread was so fresh as were the meatballs. It will definitely be put on our list of stops when we come back. Oh so good!“
“We had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. Food was excellent table was great facing the water. But the best part of our dining experience was our server. Her name Is LeeAnn and she was wonderful! So friendly, professional, caring and a beautiful smile. I would say that she was the BEST server that I have ever encountered and I have been to many different restaurants all over the world. We had a long day and a tough one and this wonderful person turned out day into a positive one. Thank you for your fab food and wonderful staff especially LeeAnn. See you again real soon!!“
“Haley totally made our experience amazing! We came here before a show at college music hall amd my mom has a SERIOUS dairy allergy. She bent over backwards to ensure we got a suitable meal and her smile and compassion was fantastic. We will be back. Fantastic service and yummy food! Thank you!“
“The combo apizza here was delicious! It was huge and was plenty for three of us. Generously covered with my favorite toppings including pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, bell peppers, and onions. The crust is baked crisp and I liked that it wasn't overly charred like some other places. A great addition to the New Haven apizza scene.“
“As a pizza artist for more than 25 years, this was a dream come true to finally try the famous New Haven Pizza. And it did not disappoint. Waited about an hour for a table, but the service was amazing, the atmosphere was super relaxed, the food unbelievable, oh, and William from the kitchen was GREAT! You'll see why ????“
