I don't eat anyone else's sweet potato pie, but the filling in this sweet potato cookie tastes like my mom's recipe! Oh my taste like home and made me cry! This cookie reminds me of holidays at home. If they're hot, I devour one in the car before I even drive off! They go well with coffee or alone. She has other desserts as well. You taste the butter and love in the cookies! The cupcakes are moist and dee-lish! You are always greeted with a smile. I'm so glad I found this gem in Bridgeport!“

“My husband surprised me with a Princess cake. I mentioned I’d love to try one after seeing it in a baking show. He searched online and Marjolaine’s was the only place he could find. He drove over an hour to pick it up and it was well worth the drive! We just picked up a Dacquoise. This one was a request from our daughter. We tried a smaller version that was in the case. It was absolutely delicious! So light and airy and the flavor was divine! We are driving this cake all the way to NC and are 100% certain that our daughter will be thrilled ! We are heading back in the beginning of April for a Marjolaine for our daughter in law. It is well worth the trip!!!“

Enjoy Authentic Guatemalan tamales, reminds me of when my grandmother made them, the chuchitos, they are like mini corn tamales and great with coffee too. Definitely recommend if you are looking for authentic Guatemalan food. They also sell beautiful souvenirs.“

“Ricotta's catering service is wonderful! We are from out of state and were organizing a Shiva lunch for family living near New Haven. Given that we only had a day to plan, time was very tight and we didn't know where to turn. Luckily, Ricotta's was recommended. Sarah was great - she was flexible, willing to deliver, arranged the food beautifully, and everything was delicious. Guests, in particular, loved the sushi, the pita sandwiches and the pastries. When visiting, we can't wait to eat at the restaurant and to hopefully use the catering service for a happier event. We highly recommend them!“

“So I went over a friends house for dinner and he had a Lupi's Bread on the table, Looked great. Tasted better. He told me about this little bakery in New Haven at 169 Washington Ave Lupi's Marchigiano Bakery. I went the next day for another Bread where I met Larry Lupi a true gentleman. His grandfather started the Bakery in 1900 when he came over from Italy, and now is being run by Larry and his brother Peter. So If you want to taste a little piece of heaven, stop by Lupi's and for a few bucks you can.

I’m terribly sorry that you lost a star but that matcha brownie tasted absolutely disgusting. Never again will I buy it!!! Sorry sweetheart but it’s lacking sugar. However I do love the sweet cream filled bread you sold me. Thank you very much for helping me figure out what I want for breakfast tomorrow. Lastly, the cream green tea cake was absolutely divine. All this from being served by an incredibly gorgeous and really cashier/manager who I had to tip handsomely. I’ll definitely stop by on payday to give their specialty caffeinated drinks a try.“
