“I came here with my parents for Father’s Day and had such a nice experience. The place was clean and not too busy, the staff was super helpful and kind, and the golfing simulation was a lot of fun. My dad had a great time, can’t wait to come back here again!“

“Great food, great service, great everything! Over the years, though, things feel as if they've declined. Not in quality, but mostly size. Some appetizers have shrunk noticeably (looking at you queso), lower amounts of protein in fajitas, the hand pressed tortilla station doesn't feel as if it's been used in ages. It's all still really good, but since I've been going there forever, I've noticed these changes“
“I’ve been somewhat of a regular here and I absolutely love it. The menu has a ton of great options - I personally recommend the Philly Eggrolls and the Cajun Chicken Alfredo. Always a ton of great stuff on tap but their cocktails are definitely worth checking out as well. And the service has always been excellent - special shout out to Michelle, behind the bar! It’s also a great spot for some bar trivia so grab some friends and test your wit!“
“Had to rub my eyes to make sure that I was in New Haven because this restaurant stepped right out of Manhattan. Each dish we enjoyed was recommended by our sever as was the fabulous wine too. The chef introduced himself before seating and checked with us just as our larger plate arrived. He added very much to the overall ambiance.“
“Hosted a private surprise birthday party for lunch on a Saturday, it was perfect! Emails were responded to quickly. There was clear communication and organization of party expectations. Plenty of room and seating for 50 people, food was hot and delicious, drinks were made per request, and servers Jenny and Tom were amazing! They were kind and on top of everything! I am so happy and thankful for how my party turned out.“
“They let us in and were so kind to us 15 minutes before closing when everyone else was already shut down for the night. We were on a roadtrip from Boston home to NJ and very hungry. The place is modern, new, clean, and welcoming. The food was very good. We had fried artichokes, steak tip tacos, stuffed clams, Caesar salad, Buffalo wings, and meatloaf. Everything is made fresh. Nothing was frozen. Portions were large so we took home leftovers. Pricing is affordable. The waitress was so gracious and attentive. She even brought us drink refills before we even asked. If you find yourself in the area I recommend you try this place.“
“Looking for a truly enjoyable dining experience? Visit Housatonic House! The warm, welcoming atmosphere, friendly service and tasty food make this place one of my favorites. Having eaten here a handful of times, I can tell you that their food is fresh and delicious. The burgers, salads, entrees and daily specials are fantastic. The servers are very attentive and pleasant (shout out to Ris, who always goes above and beyond!), and the owner, Mike, goes out of his way to walk around and check in on the customers. I highly recommend this restaurant - it's top notch.“
“I never heared about this restaurant. We didn’t have a reservation. In my opinion this restaurant is amazing , food is great , service good , drinks good. We had Passion fruit caphirina , shrimp ceviche , angus burguer , chicken and cheese empanada. Delicious. I love the decor and atmosphere , live music , and the bar looks pretty nice. I think was a little be busy at that time but not bad at all , was Thursday I was surprise. maybe I didn’t like where we were sit or how they set the tables but was not bad at all. Yes I recommend. I had a good time there.“
“1st time at Hook and Reel! DELICIOUS!!! I could barely eat it all, so much food!! I had the crab cluster with shrimp and scallops and the Hook and Reel sauce. It was a combo of Old Bay, Cajun seasoning, lemon Pepper and lemon butter sauces. Yummy!! Our server was great, the host who seated us was friendly and even the guy that brought our food. Notice the picture!!! 1st on list next time I visit CT!!“
