“I can't even remember my first experience here because whatever it was, I just...kept. Coming. Back. The food: top tier -- flavorful, thoughtful, creative, surprising. The service: an art that The Luke staff and chef have mastered and could teach a masterclass -- warm, informed, personable in a way that makes you feel like family. The atmosphere: unmatched. The vibe is always stylish, grounded, certain of itself in ways that it absolutely should be. Truly an experience every single time.“

It's like seeing the biggest acts in a local bar.. holds a thousand people or less with three full bars inside. Amazing acoustics..“

“Love this place. Great pub food. Very reasonable. A mixture of Q college students and locals. Love their burgers BUT recently they seem to have changed the patty for the worse. Not nearly as tasty. If its because of a cost issue raise your price a buck and please go back to the old patty.“

Staff was attentive and wait times for food and drink were short. Extensive tap selection, solid mixed drinks, and the food I had was delicious.
Fantastic selection of both retro and some more modern games, a smaller space than I expected, but that wasn't at all an issue, if anything it made it feel cozier and more like a classic arcade of the past.

“I stopped in on a Wednesday night (during Yale commencement) and it was packed. The bartender, Michael, was alone. On a normal night handling a bar alone is already impressive, but with how packed it was, he was straight up masterful. I was incredibly impressed with how calmly and professionally he handled himself. Even with it being as hectic as it was, he was still very kind, patient and charismatic. Truly extraordinary.“
“We happened to stumble into Elm Diner by chance, and what a find it turned out to be. The moment we walked in, the bright, welcoming atmosphere and spotless space immediately stood out. Then came Nicole, our waitress, greeting us with a genuine smile that made us feel like we’d been coming there for years.
The menu is impressively extensive, offering something for everyone. When our salad arrived, it was fresh, crisp, and generous just like the rest of the meal. Our dishes were flavorful and satisfying.
Nicole was exceptional, and the entire staff added to the experience with their friendliness and energy. There’s a real sense of camaraderie here that you don’t find everywhere.
If you’re anything like me, this place will set the bar for every diner you visit afterward. Every once in a while, you come across a restaurant that truly has it all, and Elm Diner is that rare gem.
Do yourself a favor and go experience it.

“The spicy Thai peanut wings are worth the trip alone, but there's so much more to love about this place! Now if I could only marry my love of karaoke with the food, drink, and atmosphere here. “Bar 19 is the best bar in new haven super upscale and classy, Aidan and Olson are the best!!! I broke up with my partner and they went heave and earth to cheer me up. This kinda of sympathy is hard to find nowadays. Please try bar 19 if you can, I can’t say anything except how good they are, plus they have great views on the city of New Haven 😍!“

“3 of us came to watch my granddaughter play in a basketball tournament at SCSU. We had Googled 'dive bars' on the way. We were not disappointed. The neighborhood atmosphere was evident. From the 3 friendly patrons who greeted us to the genial bartender. A 'Cheers' atmosphere. The 'melt in your mouth' burgers were the best ever. And we were pleasantly amazed with the bill! A definite place to return.“

“This is a wonderful Black owned family restaurant and bar. The food, drinks and service are very good and the atmosphere has a warm and inviting vibe. There is Comedy Night on Thursdays and a DJ and Karaoke on Fridays. The entertainment is top notch in this safe venue where the mature can relax and enjoy themselves comfortably. I love going to this restaurant.“

“5-Star Vibes at Harp’s Grill Bar & Grill – West Haven
This was my second or third time visiting Harp’s Grill Bar & Grill, but my first time actually sitting down to eat—and I’m glad I did.
I stopped in for what I like to call a “late-night snack” and ordered some wings. Let me tell you, those wings were delicious. Thursday night also happened to be karaoke night, and the vibe was exactly what I needed. The atmosphere was laid-back, welcoming, and full of good energy.
If you’re 35+ and looking for a relaxed, grown-folks setting with a mix of cultures, good food, and good music, this is definitely a spot to check out. All cultures and all vibes are welcome here.
From what I observed, the woman I believe to be the owner—Tasha—runs a tight ship. As a fellow business owner, I appreciated the way she handled things. Respect.“

“First time in last night and couldn’t have had a better experience. Greeted immediately by Jayson and his wife Ara. Had a Korean bowl which was awesome after a long day of work travel. The Rasson tables had brand new cloth and played excellent and demands precision. Staff was friendly and service was excellent. Couldn’t recommend more and as a fairly decent player, nowhere I would rather stop in. In fact I’d drive hours to play there any day. Not to mention getting to meet one of the best ever to play.“
