Mr. Cookbop Reviews
Authentic Korean food worthy of NYC Korean Town. Had the Mr. Gukbop beef soup, and it was a delicious, rich and spicy beef broth soup. Big and rice on the side to add in as you like. Beef bulgogi was great and appreciated the included noodles and tteok rice cakes. Also loved the tteokbokki and panchan. Will be back!
Really delicious food and considerate service!
Definitely recommend. The kookbap is great

Mr. Cookbop offers authentic Korean "soup rice" with dishes like Soondae Guk and Samgyetang. The food is praised as very good, with perfect kimchi and great flavors, often considered better than other Korean spots in the area. The restaurant is clean, with a nice atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff. It is a favorite for warm, satisfying meals. Customers often find the dishes comforting and home-like, especially the Samgyetang, which feels like a home-cooked meal. The menu includes a variety of options, and staff are happy to refill rice and ban chan if asked. The spicy pork stir fry is a generous portion, though it is priced in the mid 20s. Overall, Mr. Cookbop is a hidden gem in New Haven, highly recommended for anyone craving Korean food, whether for a soup or a stir fry.
