Sable Sajoma Kitchen is amazing. The Pernil roasted pork shoulder is the best I’ve had. Crackling crispy skin and super tender meat. The rice and beans are also outstanding and as good as it gets, very authentic Domican/latin food . They have tasty and healthy side dishes as well and vegetarian options. I also recommend their Tres Leches cake. Great food options for lunch time or to go that is delicious and affordable.
This is a great spot for a tasty, affordable, and convenient lunch. Their cauliflower sandwich is one of the best vegetarian sandwiches in New Haven, and I really enjoyed the squash with vegan chorizo. Their lunch specials are great too. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Always fantastic! I work at the high school around the corner from here. Exceptional food! I eat here at least once a week. Usually get a breakfast sandwich. Let me tell you, they make the best bacon, egg, and cheese I've ever had. Toasted perfectly, bacon cooked perfectly, and hot. They are very friendly and fun to talk to. Let me say to the locals that this nicely fills the void between Nico's and the market on Whalley.
