“My favorite restaurant in New Haven. It's pricey but worth it. The Braised Pork Belly is AMAZING and literally falls apart with your chop sticks, that's how soft it is. I've literally had friends drink the sauce after eating that pork belly. It's so good

The curry with wagyu beef is also super tasty. Highly recommend. And their sake flights are really good too.“

“4.5 / 5.0 - I’d been to the Loop for Japanese groceries and sweets, but this was my first time trying their brunch, which they have on weekends, along with their lunch menu.

They have cafeteria style seating and you order and pick up your food at the counter. It’s quite spacious with large picnic tables and bar seating, but it was almost full when we went past noon yesterday.

It took time to order and get our food, so if you’re in a rush, it may be better to pick up pre-made lunches or sushi from the grocery store instead.

I tried the Open Tamago Sando, which was so delicious I will definitely have to order again. The noodles didn’t have much broth or toppings, so maybe not the best option if you’re looking for something that’s not mostly carbs.

They had outdoor seating, which will be nice once it’s warmer.“

One of my favorite Ramen/Asian restaurants around. I just found out that this place is a chain which surprises me. They always give me more of a locally owned store. Great servers. Amazing food. This place is definitely great for 90’s kids with their selection of music.

Everything I eat here is always so good. So flavorful. The mushroom dumplings are HIGHLY recommended.

Pro tip: get a side of their chili oil on the side with your food.

“The food was excellent. I ordered the teriyaki chicken with all vegetables plus additional vegetables. I ordered two one with shrimp I did not realize all vegetables was just cabbage and the additional stem vegetables was broccoli. They have a small order of sautéed vegetables realizing I should have ordered that instead and the second ordered had no shrimp. I ordered through grubhub because I was at work. I have eaten inside many times first time ordering through grubhub.“

“The food and service were excellent! However, the plastic lids and coated paper boxes the food is served in does not work for me because it’s environmentally unsustainable. The amount of single-use plastics we go through for convenience is doing serious harm to the health of our planet and life on it. I think the food service industry (and customers) can do a lot to change that.

I would also love to see some wild caught fish that is certified sustainable by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC)!

“I messed up. I asked for my money back on the idea that I did not receive an order I clearly made correct but I thought was wrong. So I e had sushi in the past. This is not my first rodeo. Problem is I had regular sushi which were hand rolled which I thought meant the same as “hand roll”. My apologies and biggest mistake ever! So just so everyone understands: hand rolled which is not cut into small pieces and look like a mini gyro funnel but stuffed with rice veggies and seafood meat. Regular roll is with the sushi tool and log rolled and then cut into pieces. I will definitely give this place another try and forgive me for what happened! “Fuji is honestly an amazing brand and they always make sure everything they create is super high quality. I was a little skeptical at first, but after using their stuff for a while, I can say it completely lived up to the hype. It is super easy to figure out how to use, and you can just tell that it is built to last a long time without breaking. Plus, everything runs incredibly smoothly and the whole experience has just been awesome. If you are thinking about trying them out, you should definitely just go for it because you definitely won't regret it.“

Towards the end of our meal during a conversation between all at the table we got a horrific whiff of what smelled like a rotting carcus and sewage.
