“Shogun Japan (SJ) absolutely slaps cheddar. They shovel food on there like sardines on a fishing rig in the Atlantic. The meat is pure excellence in your mouth and they give booku veg on there. They hand pick each grain of rice only giving you the best possible quality grains. This place is like a light in the midst of the darkness of Waterbury. If there were an apocalypse you would see me taking refuge in the depths of their ovens chowing down on 5 star cuisine. The boys behind the counter always gonna hook you up with a roller coaster of flavor on your tongue.“

“This place is a 10/10 for a sushi lunch. My husband and I sat at the sushi bar and enjoyed martinis and shared 3 lunch entrees for around $50. Our chef and server were both attentive and friendly. The bar has good chill date vibes. There were some patrons having hibachi on the other side of the restaurant and it sounded like a good time.“

“Came from Maine, and had a great time, absolutely beautiful family, food and sushi were amazing, and the fried rice is to die for. Everything here seems fresh, and that’s amazing and unexpected. Amazing service and cheap for what we got. We will most likely be back tomorrow for takeout! Only thing is, it’s small but comfortable when you sit down. I hope this business thrives!“

“Amazing experience! Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. The sushi and sashimi were excellent, but the Bluefin Toro was definitely a highlight. Absolutely delicious! The service was fantastic as well, attentive and friendly from start to finish. We loved it and would definitely come back!“

“I absolutely have no problem with the quality of Sushi it’s very delicious and fresh. As someone who has had a lot of Sushi I have a good understanding of what is good quality from bad. You could eat inside but this place was more designed for take out which isn’t a bad thing. The young woman at the desk is always kind. This place gets an actual score of 4.5.“

“We tried this hibachi for the first time with our daughter. The atmosphere is always fun, entertaining and silly with the throwing of food and egg cracking. Workers are helpful, and the food was fresh. It can get busy. The only negatives I’d say is for one we asked for medium well for our toddler and the steak was pretty raw. Also, the cooks a little pushy on those who kept saying no and didn’t want to take part.“

“When I picked up condiments soy,duck, hot mustard, and wanted to put them into the bag it was stapled shut.
So before you pick up your extras, rip the bag open first.

Because I had to walk to my vehicle holding all the condiments in one hand and the bag in the other and almost dropped some of them.“

“The guy who works there is very nice and friendly the food is absolutely delicious and people who are saying it isn’t the same because it is two different cultures the new restaurant is Japanese food the old was Chinese and the Japanese hibachi is insanely good 10/10 all around and the green matcha tea was so so good“
