Kirsten who goes by Kris, took my order, was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. She made great recommendations and ensured I felt comfortable with my choices because my first option was sold out for the day! Brendon was equally impressive! His charm and respectfulness shone through as he assisted Kirsten by handing out the orders and keeping the dining area clean. I arrived just before closing, but both Kirsten and Brendon maintained their enthusiasm and were eager to serve me. Their teamwork made the experience even more enjoyable, and I truly appreciated their dedication to excellent customer service. “The sushi here is fantastic, though it was a bit of a learning curve for our daughter! She wasn't a fan of the sushi texture but loved the hibachi. It’s a great place to introduce kids to new foods with their bento box options. Highly recommend the food, but the seating is a little uncomfortable, so takeout is the way to go.“

“This place was a random pit-stop for us, as we were heading back from UCONN to Norwalk and it was one of the best culinary surprises.
It's a business with very well mannered staff; our waiter was very friendly, he didn't mind answering my questions about the little sides they served us before our food came out and he was polite the entire time.
The food was excellent!!! We had mussles, served in a light broth, heated in a chafer dish with a small burner, edamame salted just the right way, Seafood Udon Stir Fry and Eel Sushi (accompanied by additional complimentary avocado roll).
The nonalcoholic beer tasted good and my kiddo loved her Japanese soda (Ramune).
If I'm in the area again, I will make sure to stop by and try other dishes from the menu.“

Sometimes on the weekends the parking lot is packed full, so if you enjoy their food, it may be better to simply call ahead. However, there are a few inaccuracies on their this Facebook website. First their current hours are posted as "always open", of couse this cannot be true in the least bit. “My boyfriend and I tried Poke Sushi in Vernon tonight! We ordered the California roll, the veggie roll, and the shrimp tempura roll with mango added. The rolls were made immediately as we started paying for our food. It was neat to watch them being made. When we sat down to eat; they were amazing! The ingredients were VERY fresh! Absolutely delicious! Highly recommend!!! We scarfed down the rolls and forgot to take a picture 😂“

“My friends and I get together here about once a year or so. It's your typical garlic and butter hibachi joint. They pack folks in, do a little song and dance, then welcome you to have a nice day. The name of the game is turn the top and I'm ok with that. It's entertaining that some of the reviewers are disappointed here for the lack of a fine dining experience. I mean, they share a parking lot with a Walmart and giant package store. Anyone who manages their expectations should have a good time here. They keep the Sapporo coming and that guy likes to bag on the drum thing. You'll know who I mean. Enjoy.“

“The staff here are the best! Arrived after 9pm after a long drive and without a reservation, was seated immediately. We ordered a habachi combo and when the salad arrived with a lot of dressing we asked the staff to cook our habachi with no seasoning. They said yes but asked the manager to speak to us to understand exactly what we wanted. In the end she suggested less sauce. The beef and prawns were perfect (tender & juicy) as were the rest of the plate. Hot and satisfying! The Rock & Roll was also fantastic, well proportioned. Very good experience and will return when we are in town!“
