“This is my go-to Japanese restaurant, and has been since my first visit in 2017. Food and service quality is excellent whether I've had hibachi, sushi, or the regular restaurant menu. As stated in other reviews, the manager is an outstanding example of team leadership and customer service. For the less adventurous eater, there are a few conventional choices on the menu too. I have taken friends and out-of-state relatives to Sake and all were glad I did.“

“Hidden in the corner, somewhere in Newington. Tokyo Cafe was a pleasantly delicious and wholesome surprise. My partner and I decided to venture out and try somewhere new and we may have just found our new regular spot.The dining room doesn’t have too much seating (6-8 tables max) and I would definitely consider it an intimate but cozy vibe. We frequent sushi of all calibers, this isn’t meant to be compared to Nobu or other establishments of the sort. It is an excellent neighborhood sushi restaurant.The food was fresh and delectable . My partner really enjoyed the Kani Salad as an appetizer. She said it was unique in taste and refreshing. I had a house salad with ginger dressing and the miso soup which was just what I wanted and what you would expect. We also shared the Pepper Tuna Tataki ??? absolutely delightful. I must mention all from the dressing to the consistency of the kani salad, this wasn’t the generic all you can eat, run of the mill spot.The very nice lady that waited on us was very attentive and put care into her work. The Sushi Itamae delivered with a beautiful presentation and construction of the “Sushi Sashimi Combo 4 Us”. We finished the meal off with some fried ice cream and left happy and full. I would recommend this place and we will be returning.“
“Found this gem when using Google to find a nearby sushi restaurant. Very nice staff, friendly and fast service. Food was very good. The kimchi tofu soup was a pleasant surprise to try, will definitely be getting that again. I love Boba tea, didn't dissapoint. Had the spring rolls for appetizer, crispy and flavorful. Tried our favorite classics spicy tuna and shrimp tempura, very happy with our experience. will be coming back. Don't forget your Sake!“
“My wife and I have been going here since we started dating 8 years ago. It's not a big place, but the food they serve is absolutely top tier. I'd say it's a hidden gem, but everytime I go there I see someone I know from highschool or a previous employer. It appears it's a well known fact that there's no where else to get better sushi in the Manchester area. Bigger and fancier places have come and gone, but Hana stands because of the quality and care they put into each meal. If you haven't tried them, I promise you're missing out.“
“Ordered take out: a Kalbi Bento box and Seafood pajeon pancake, and both were delicious at home! The bento box came with japchae glass noodles and dumplings- a perfect pairing for someone who loves Korean food. The seafood pancake was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and had a perfect soy scallion sauce on the side. Would highly recommend for take out!“
“Little “hole in the wall” type of place. We dined in but they do a ton of takeout because the restaurant is so small. I’m allergic to shellfish and the chef was very careful when making my rolls. We also ordered the vegetable tempura. All of it was delicious! “A very few and far between authentic asian restaurant here in CT. I have been to Xi'an on multiple occasions and I can truly say the food is AUTHENTIC. Not only is the food great but so is the service. The LiangPi noodles is a well know street food in Xi'an and they have successfully brought it here to my neighborhood. Upon the other dishes I have tried, my personal favorites are the cumin beef noodle, spicy sour lamb dumplings, as well as the pork sauce noodles. I highly recommend this place as this is now my go to food spot!“

“It was a rather interesting restaurant to visit. I've been to quite a few in Connecticut, however, this one had the services of Habachi's! This was very interesting! The service was excellent, very attentive and accommodating. The atmosphere was a little underwhelming, as it seemed to keep busy with mostly takeout orders as opposed to dine in. “My family went here for Hibachi (with the chef preparing food at the Hibachi table) and had a very good experience. The food was good and drinks were reasonably priced for West Hartford and strong. The chef was entertaining and put on a good show. The environment was nice but also kid friendly. There is a 20% service fee for dining in the Hibachi showroom as other reviewers have noted, however there is a sign stating that at the entrance and the server was up front about it as well, so it wasn't a surprise and does make sense given the extra service as part of the experience.I'll definitely come back in the near future!“
“We had a dinner reservation for a rather large party. It was a nice experience, but definitely not the best. They charge you a deposit for larger parties, when making the reservation. Also, if it's a birthday party, you can't bring in the cake (we did that at another hibachi place), but they give you an ice cream on the house. The menu comes with rice and it's an additional $5 charge per person for noodles. Again, comparing to the other place, we could choose between rice and noodles, but not here. The waitress asked us for paid beverages refills, but never refilled our water glasses until prompted.Overall, it was an OK experience, but we had a better one at the other restaurant.“
“I moved to the area a couple of months ago and am so excited to have discovered this restaurant so close to me. I have ordered take out many times at this point, although the restaurant is lovely with a cozy ambiance. I will eat there someday! The staff are very friendly.They have affordable lunch and combination specials with everything you could want - rice, soup, salad, fried goodness, broccoli, and the dinners come with a sliced orange. I am addicted to their white rice. The shrimp tempura and katsu are not overly condimented and taste fresh, and are always perfectly crispy. The green mussels were a generous serving, meaty and so tasty. The shrimp shu mai and gyoza are very good. The maki rolls are also worth it, especially the 3x combo.“
