“Zaytoon Lebanese Restaurant in West Hartford with Ty. My first experience with Turkish coffee and it was superb. It's strong just like New Orleans coffee and Right up my alley. Our server was attentive, courteous, and efficient. He had a smile and a pleasant personality and was very helpful with the ordering. The food was hot and delicious. The lamb was a gift from the Greek gods. It was tender and seasoned and most flavorful with no gamey aftertaste. Everything you would want from a Mediterranean/Lebanese restaurant.”

Best tartare ever and we are not kidding. Poached Shrimp Tostada was good too. Spicy Caesar Salad delish to the last bite. We finished with Salted Caramel Crème Brûlée which was well balanced sweet and flavor tasty. We talked with others at the bar about their dishes and those got good reviews too. So we are looking forward to coming back.”

“When I asked at work where I should take my family for some authentic Pho, I was told to hit MECHA. we went today and it was superb! The staff were excellent and everything we got was top tier. The edamame, and mushroom dumplings were awesome appetizers and the Pho was awesome. I had the Pho King with the recommended greens and Thai chilis and it was the best lunch I've had in a long time. The limeade was soooo good. I can't wait to go back!”

I didn't have my receipt when I retuned today. But another manager, Nicole, was amazing. She didnt give me a hard time about it and was actually very pleasant. Right away you can tell they care about their customers. They have seen me a bunch in the store and they made me feel like they never wanted that to stop. In a time when so many are in customer service and actually loathe it, it is so refreshing to find the few that treat their customers the way I would. I love this place and I’ll certainly be back. “I went in this morning for a pound of medium roast decaf and a quick espresso. They have an excellent interior that was nice to relax in for a few minutes before rushing off. The staff member was also super friendly. Great neighborhood too. They were carrying a limited edition run of a anaerobic process light roast from Rwanda, so I bought a bag out of curiosity. This is currently the best coffee I have ever brewed. It tastes sweet and like apples! I am really glad that they were carrying this today!”

“I’m literally only giving it 5 stars because the old owner Harvey was a good guy and very business savvy. He knew my name and what I always wanted. And he connected with his customers. And that kept a HUGE clientele.

The new owners don’t know my name and are unfriendly. They are not exactly cheap and I still support. It’s a nice spot in town. Residents in West Hartford frequent there. It would be nice for them to be friendly, adaptable, relatable, down to earth and get to know their regulars who support them.

I personally will try to continue to support.

Not only was the food OUTSTANDING, but the price SHOCKED me at how low it was. I guess the lunch menu prices is reduced. I will be doing this again, frequently. I've eaten there for dinner several times per year for years and never regretted it, but this blew me away, both the quality and price. Let's be sure to keep them in business with take-out orders!”

They switched to new gloves without asking and when they accidentally touched regular bread they made a whole new panini without even asking. They also wrap the panini in tin foil before pressing. We tried the pancake roll which had beef & vegetables inside. OH MY GOODNESS! I could literally eat that every day for the rest of my life! I'm totally serious. I'm not sure why they have only a 4.0, which is a good score. Honestly? SONG is deserving of at least a 4.6 but I'm giving them a 4.8. our waiter was a sweetie, polite & attentive. it wasn't crowded, actually none of the restaurants were super crowded. we were there around 630pm. so maybe it was a bit early. The atmosphere was welcoming & comfortable. This was my 2nd time there & I'll definitely be going back. 4.8! ❤️”

“A.C. Petersen Farms Restaurant has been a favorite of mine for years whenever I come back home to visit Connecticut. It's one of those places that brings back great memories, and their ice cream is always at the top of my list. My absolute favorite flavor is the Pineapple Orange Ice Cream.

Unfortunately, during my most recent visit, something seemed different. What I love most about the Pineapple Orange Ice Cream is the combination of flavors and the little pieces of pineapple and cherry mixed throughout, which add a nice texture and crunch. This time, those pieces seemed to be missing. I've taken pictures of this ice cream over the years, so I know what it normally looks like, and this visit just didn't live up to the standard I've come to expect. The flavor was still good, but it wasn't the same experience without those fruit pieces.

My husband is also a huge fan of A.C. Petersen's ice cream. Over the years, he's tried almost every flavor on the menu and enjoys creating different combinations based on whatever toppings he's in the mood for that day. There's always something new for him to enjoy, which is one of the reasons we keep coming back.

As for the food, it's consistently good. I've worked my way through most of the menu over the years and have rarely been disappointed. The restaurant has always been a reliable spot for both comfort food and dessert.

Because my favorite ice cream flavor wasn't at its best during this visit, I have to give this experience 4 stars instead of 5. Even so, A.C. Petersen Farms remains one of my favorite places to visit when I'm back in Connecticut, and I look forward to returning. Hopefully, next time the Pineapple Orange Ice Cream will be back to the delicious, fruit-filled treat I've always loved.”
