Best tartare ever and we are not kidding. Poached Shrimp Tostada was good too. Spicy Caesar Salad delish to the last bite. We finished with Salted Caramel Crème Brûlée which was well balanced sweet and flavor tasty. We talked with others at the bar about their dishes and those got good reviews too. “When I asked at work where I should take my family for some authentic Pho, I was told to hit MECHA. we went today and it was superb! The staff were excellent and everything we got was top tier. The edamame, and mushroom dumplings were awesome appetizers and the Pho was awesome. I had the Pho King with the recommended greens and Thai chilis and it was the best lunch I've had in a long time. The limeade was soooo good. I can't wait to go back!”

“Me and my family have been coming here for years. The service is fast, the family that owns/runs the establishment are very sweet and wholesome. The food is always fresh, fast, delicious, and consistent. It is a go to for us when we are in the mood for vietnamese food or when we are in the area.”

“I’m literally only giving it 5 stars because the old owner Harvey was a good guy and very business savvy. He knew my name and what I always wanted. And he connected with his customers. And that kept a HUGE clientele.

The new owners don’t know my name and are unfriendly. They are not exactly cheap and I still support. It’s a nice spot in town. Residents in West Hartford frequent there. It would be nice for them to be friendly, adaptable, relatable, down to earth and get to know their regulars who support them.

I personally will try to continue to support.

“I went in this morning for a pound of medium roast decaf and a quick espresso. They have an excellent interior that was nice to relax in for a few minutes before rushing off. The staff member was also super friendly. Great neighborhood too. They were carrying a limited edition run of a anaerobic process light roast from Rwanda, so I bought a bag out of curiosity. This is currently the best coffee I have ever brewed. It tastes sweet and like apples! I am really glad that they were carrying this today!”

“Take-out food recommendation! Hot Basil Thai Food, 565 New Park Ave, West Hartford. Ordered three dishes at 2:15pm today for pick-up. Not only was the food OUTSTANDING, but the price SHOCKED me at how low it was. I guess the lunch menu prices is reduced. I will be doing this again, frequently. I've eaten there for dinner several times per year for years and never regretted it, but this blew me away, both the quality and price. Let's be sure to keep them in business with take-out orders!”

“Rita's is open Monday-Sunday 11am-10pm. They are located in West Hartford Vernon New London and Farmington. The locations that were closed were in Avon Rocky Hill South Windsor and Southington.”

“my boys & I went to SONG this past Saturday. We ate everything we ordered. The food was super tasty. The depth of flavors was absolutely delicious! We tried the pancake roll which had beef & vegetables inside. OH MY GOODNESS! I could literally eat that every day for the rest of my life! I'm totally serious. I'm not sure why they have only a 4.0, which is a good score. Honestly? SONG is deserving of at least a 4.6 but I'm giving them a 4.8. our waiter was a sweetie, polite & attentive. it wasn't crowded, actually none of the restaurants were super crowded. we were there around 630pm. so maybe it was a bit early. The atmosphere was welcoming & comfortable. This was my 2nd time there & I'll definitely be going back. 4.8! ❤️”

We always get the shrimp lo (perfect every time), general tso’s chicken (crispy), and crab rangoon (just fine). It’s classic American Chinese food and consistently well cooked. The General Tso’s chicken most recently had great spice, too, which we appreciated. Everything is a good portion size.”

“East-West Grille used to be a brick and mortar; they're now a food truck. They serve Thai and Laotion food. The first time I've seen them was at Gastro Park in West Hartford. They pulled up in the early afternoon. I had just ordered at another food truck but had to try them out also. The menu had a mix of different types of Asian food; from egg rolls, dumplings, papaya salad, pad Thai, Laotion fried rice, and boba tea to name a few. I decided to get the spicy pork banh mi sandwich which was really good! It had the right amount of meat and toppings. Next time, I look forward to trying the pad Thai and the Laotion sausage and sticky rice. The service was good and so was the food I got this time.”
