“I had an exceptional dining experience at this restaurant. The culinary offerings were exquisite, complemented by a delightful atmosphere and attentive staff. The freshness of the food truly stood out. My companions and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit and look forward to returning. Without hesitation, I will be recommending Ikura to others. Thank you for providing a truly wonderful dining experience!”
“First time ordering I saw this restaurant on a Instagram! ordered a wrap and mozz sticks. Everything was fresh and prepared perfectly. I had order delivery and it was packaged well and delivered fast. Thank you to the establishment team for having such a cool pizza spot. I will be in to try the pizza soon! Can’t wait! Thank you!”
“I go here to get milkshakes before picking up my daughter at daycare. It makes it a bit more fun as the milkshakes take longer to drink than the regular drinks.I wait for the drinks on a chair that looks like a giant paperclip, a key part of the experience as you wonder how that got there. Maybe one day I'll even buy some giant paperclip chairs for the house to confuse guests.”
“I got a combo plater chicken and lamb over rice, peppers, onions, black beans, Salata salad with white sauce on top! Staff was very helpful and friendly. Nice clean modern decor. Easy to order, great portions. It was filling and tasty. First time trying this type of food and man I'm hooked!”
“Not the best picture but it was the best! I love their burgers. We got mac n cheese bars too, so tasty ! I'm a big fan of local places making simple food like this just top notch! Love love love!”
“As a native New Yorker I’m kinda opinionated about pizza. Is this good pizza? YES!Always well cooked, toppings are tasty and not skimpy, and, as others have mentioned, service with a smile. Is it expensive? I don’t think so!I really appreciate the little extra “try this out” sample they sometimes give with my order…it’s like a little appetizer for my ride home- smart business!”
“Cool hidden spot with a nice variety of Authentic Mex food !Vegetarian options: Many substitutes for most item on the menuParking: Open / safe more than 20 availableKid-friendliness: Small and a few tables to sitWheelchair accessibility: Flat & easy access”
“Went on Saturday, January 27th for my husbands birthday to dine in, and.... IT WAS VERY BUSY!! Between take out and dine in. But the wait was worth it!!!We had a terrific waitress that didn't look rushed, or, tried to rush us. Can't remember her name, (sorry ) it was about 7 pm, had tattoos on her arms. Thank you. We had pizza, .....it was excellent.”
“Hidden in the corner, somewhere in Newington. Tokyo Cafe was a pleasantly delicious and wholesome surprise. My partner and I decided to venture out and try somewhere new and we may have just found our new regular spot. The dining room doesn’t have too much seating (6-8 tables max) and I would definitely consider it an intimate but cozy vibe. We frequent sushi of all calibers, this isn’t meant to be compared to Nobu or other establishments of the sort. It is an excellent neighborhood sushi restaurant. The food was fresh and delectable . My partner really enjoyed the Kani Salad as an appetizer. She said it was unique in taste and refreshing. I had a house salad with ginger dressing and the miso soup which was just what I wanted and what you would expect. We also shared the Pepper Tuna Tataki ??? absolutely delightful. I must mention all from the dressing to the consistency of the kani salad, this wasn’t the generic all you can eat, run of the mill spot. The very nice lady that waited on us was very attentive and put care into her work. The Sushi Itamae delivered with a beautiful presentation and construction of the “Sushi Sashimi Combo 4 Us”. We finished the meal off with some fried ice cream and left happy and full. I would recommend this place and we will be returning.”
“Neat little hole-in-the-wall place (behibd the 7-11), that I just happened to find while looking at the map, because the original place I was gonna go was closed on Tuesdays ? Glad I did though, cause the food was very good, the two people working behind the counter there were quite friendly and nice, and they even gave us a free bag of onion rings, because they didn't want to throw them out ? Would definitely recommend, and can't wait to go back ?”
“Food is very good. Salads are always fresh and dressings are perfect. Sometimes the grilled chicken is too hard. Grinders are great and huge. Chicken tenders and fries are well done but sometimes kind of spice (maybe they use pepper). Prices are fair. Overall ”
“Delicious poké and sushi with great lunch specials and menu variety. Fresh quality ingredients, excellent customer service, and a very memorable gochujang sauce for anyone who likes to spice it up!”
“Good beer, great chicken and corn bread during happy hour. Bring back the broccoli!Parking: Plenty of parking in back with entrances on Main St, Market Sq, Cedar St and Constance Leigh Dr.”
“The word "hidden gem" is throw around often in the foodie world. So often enough, that it's almost annoying when people use it because when you go to the business's Yelp page they have 10,000+ reviews. Lol. Well, it's obviously not hidden very well is it? Anyway, Salsas 4 Taqueria IS a hidden gem, but hidden in plain sight...Atmosphere/Appearance: Set right in a old-looking plaza with a state credit union, a regular bank and a learning center of sorts is this gem. The outside just doesn't look like much and the sign isn't too elaborate either. There is parking out front of course since it's in a plaza so there's nothing to worry about. Once inside it's just like a traditional Mexican spot. Dimly lit, colorful walls painted with the colors of the Mexican flag, cheap wooden chairs and exposed brick. It's exactly what you want to see from a place like this.Service: I've never eaten inside the restaurant because I always order online. This place doesn't even have its own website because they don't need it. You can order online through various services, but I personally go through Yelp. So I just go in, give my name and my order is usually ready.Food: So on their menu is something I've never seen before called a tlayuda. It's a handmade dish in traditional Oaxacan cuisine, consisting of a large, thin, crunchy, partially fried or toasted tortilla covered with a spread of refried beans, asiento (unrefined pork lard), lettuce or cabbage, avocado, meat (usually shredded chicken, beef tenderloin or pork), Oaxaca cheese, and salsa. Tlayudas are typical of Oaxaca and receive their name thanks to the particular texture of the tortilla. Unlike a soft tortilla, like those we usually see at taco stands or in the store, tlayudas are usually larger, heavier, and more consistent than a soft tortilla. They offer 4 types and I went with the Guelaquetza Tlayuda which is protein heavy filled with carne asada, chorizo, and al pastor. This this is SO DENSE and so delicious! I'm 5'9", 260 pounds and I could only eat half of this thing. It was so filling and I LOVED IT. It's the only thing I've ever eaten from here. Lol.Value: The Guelaquetza Tlayuda is $18.00 and 100% worth it. Period.I loved this place! It's nearby to where I live so I plan on paying this place many more visits in the near future!”
“Great place to eat family owned and friendly with large portions; food has always been fresh with plenty of selections.Dietary restrictions: I am gluten-free but my wife is not and there are plenty of selections for both of us; they do not have gluten-free bread but I brought my own.”
