“Wow. This place is overall phenomenal. I’ve been coming with my family for many years, it’s a prime lunch spot for Sunday Lunches and Dinners as well. The quality for the price is unmatched in the area. It’s one of those places where the dinner prices aren’t outrageous (and all that different from the lunch price) and they never skimp. The banchan (starting side dishes) are unique but taste so homey. The selection is amazing, whether you want a comforting dish or a fancier dish they have it all. The workers are all so nice and give good recommendations. They also are usually able to accommodate substitutions (ex: jjamppong seafood into pork instead). My personal recommendation is the kalbi bento, sashimi platter, or the jjamppong. But everything else including the eel bento and the hot soups, as well as the classic bibimbap is good as well. If you want a even out of the water experience, order the fish head soup ;)”

I think the only thing to note is that this location is in Hartford. Doesn't make it inherently bad, but hey, you get some characters. As with any place, just go about your business and don't interact. Again, literally doesn't matter, could be a Karen saying dumb things, or folks who are just a little too high looking for cookies and chips. All the same. Plus, this is a 24 hour location, so you gotta respect it.”

We loved everything that they offered (hardo bread, beef patty, coco bread, plantain tart and so on). When I said we liked EVERYTHING, I mean it. Everything was on point!! Yesterday was my first time (and last time) going into Scott's in about a decade plus. It is clear that management has changed (if not management, something has gone horribly wrong). The shell of the patty was beyond thick and there was little meat in it. The coco bread was beyond disgusting! It was a flavorless clump of undercooked dough. You know how coco bread is supposed to taste. It didn't taste like that at all. It seems as though they've cut corners on their peanut punch which had a gell-like texture. The BEST part of everything that I purchased was the Cola Champagne. As long as they continue to use the same distributor they can't mess that up. Maybe they had a bad day. I won't be spending money to find out.”

So there's an event during the summer called the Long Table, you should check it out next year. I needed something quick to pick up, and th8s restaurant came through. I know that ground beef dishes aren't necessarily authentic but there is a way to keep the meal authentic with ground beef and I dont think this restaurant followed that code. Beautiful meal presentation.. Everything was very tasty but seemed a little lazy. Sour cream in packets, No homemade much of anything. Regardless, great meal. Marinated pork and ground beef tacos and a ground beef enchilada. I enjoyed my meal but it didnt stand out as anything special.”

“I hosted a college send-off event for my daughter this past Saturday and it was fabulous!
I decided on a drop-in style function where we reserved the seating area that is fully furnished and nicely decorated with a fully equipped bar specific to that location (which served non-alcoholic beverages at my request). This was a small plate function and the food, which is provided by the establishment, was presented extremely well and tasted even better!
The owners, chefs, waitstaff and bartenders were highly professional, handled our family and friends with care and were very accommodating from booking until the actual event.

Some customers don t want to pay taxes on the food claiming that I m over charging them
Some customers don t even know that tax for cook food and restauration it s 7.35% not 6.35 % claiming that we over charging them too
The last person he s soon called for a party pizza we have limited numbers of party pizza dough for party pizzas like any other pizzas .the dough goes in the carbage if it does not sale that why we limited our numbers of it .we told he s soon we sold out he did not say any thing.he s father called 5 min later did not want to accept that we limited number I talk to him with a lot of respect and tried to explain to him why we have limited number he s claiming that he work for pizza place .I think he s laying and he does not know anything about pizza. He s laying juste like when he said he s cousin called one hour later and I give him party pizza .that a lay if he can prove it I will give him $200 worth of food on me . He will not be able because it a lay . I can prove to any body that s a lay using my cameras that I did not sale any party pizza to any body.

“I went there today looking for grits, I had my braces adjusted and mouth is very sore. I arrived prior to opening by nearly an hour. The owner helped me out with grits and scrambled eggs anyway. “Souvlaki City has some of the best gyros I’ve had in Connecticut. I’ve had both the lamb gyro and the chicken gyro on separate visits, and both were absolutely incredible. The meat was flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and cooked beautifully, and you can really taste the care and authenticity that goes into the food.
I also want to shout out John Manousoff. He was extremely friendly, professional, and courteous, and it’s clear that he genuinely cares about his craft and takes pride in what he does. His passion and hospitality just added to the amazing experience.
Whether you’re craving a gyro or just great Greek food in general, I highly recommend giving Souvlaki City a try. Amazing food, great service, and a business that clearly takes pride in what it does.”
