“We had a party of 3 so tried everything on the menu and we loved it. The roasted squash was probably the star of the show. All of the entrees were nicely sized portions and well executed. The butterscotch pudding was great. Service was also top notch. Angie took great care of us and I would request her great service next time we come in. All the wait staff was pleasant, knowledgeable and the service was quick, but not at all rushed. When the owner, Jimmy, learned we were there celebrating some big things, he truly went out of his way to make us feel special. I can’t thank him enough for all he did for us. It was our first time there, yet he took the time (on a busy night!) to learn our names, ask questions and congratulate us. “The food is insanely good. My friend and I dine at Trumbull Kitchen before we attend Hartford Stage, and she was still extolling her dinner on the drive home after the show. She had the marinaded steak. The best thing was the response to her request to replace the fries with veggies. The choices were plentiful, and the side salad that arrived was gorgeous.My dinner was equally delicious, seared tuna with salad. Yummy and beautifully plated. The salad dressing (served on-the-side) was exquisite. We each had reasonably priced glasses of wine.Julian, our waiter was running, as was everyone on staff when it became crazy busy at around six o'clock. The bar was hopping and there was a line waiting to be seated. Yet, he checked on us every 5 to 10 minutes and made sure we were well supplied with the spicy, chip-like crackers that come in the bread basket and are irresistible.If there is one negative, it is the very loud sound system which pumps in thumping music that you might want as background for a weight-lifting class at the gym, rather than for dining. I am sure there is a metric that tells restaurants and bars that people drink more if they can't hear themselves think. Personally, I find it offensive. If I could have done, I'd have changed the selection and turned down the volume.”

“Really cool building. We'll Lite interior with lots of seating space. Food options on the lunch menu had something for every appetite. We ate the boa buns, onion soup , steak sandwich and the Cuban. “A great dining experience, as always! We've eaten at J a half dozen or so times over the years. J is consistently excellent. Whether you're going “classic” with Filet Mignon or being more adventurous with Veal Milanese, you won't be disappointed! My veal was perfectly done, tender, hot, yet crunchy with a wonderfully light arugula side. My partner's Haddock was excellent with perfectly roasted potato wedges. The ambience was lively, busy and a little noisy on this particular evening, Service was efficient and professional. A very nice way to start our evening!”

“I've been to other Capital Grille locations; decided to try this one. Visited on a Saturday evening. Ordered wedge salad and clam chowder as an appetizer. Both were good and consistent with food I've ordered at other locations. Dinner was tenderloin with lobster and seared tuna. Both were cooked well. Potatoes au gratin were quite good. Service I felt was average; dessert took quite a long time to come out unfortunately. Atmosphere is consistent among locations generally and this one was enjoyable and no different. Overall, this location was good and I would return.”

“There are 4-5 high chairs to a stand that can be used for dine in. The ackee patty was buttery savory and so flavourful. The spice burrito was aslo good but not as good as the patty. They have a good spread of jamaican vegan food. The restaurant is small and limited staff so you might have to stand in line for a bit to place your order.”

We had the oysters , tuna tartare, lobster pierogies for starters ! Delicious! For dinner my daughter had the dry aged burger and she loved it . I had the surf and turf ( amazing) my husband had the prime NY strip. Cocktails were great. “Incredible! Fabulous Food! Beautiful Setting! Superior Service! Wonderful Wine! Linguine was al dente and luscious with a yummy Crab Sauce! The Chilean Sea Bass was done perfectly and the sauce and accompaniments were just right! The Veal Medallions melted in your mouth and the sauce was sensational. The cappuccino to end the dinner was very creamy and smooth and I loved it!!!! It was perfect meals again at this fine restaurant. We recommend this restaurant highly.”

“I love ordering from here. I don't always have this issue but sometimes the fries are soggy from the steam trapped in the cardboard box so I have to reheat them in my airfryer at home. They're always courteous when I call and promptly deliver the food. I've ordered many different things from there and mostly liked them all. Sometimes I have to get toppings for my salad on the side, like the southwest salad because otherwise the liquid from the Pico will make the tortilla strips wet and I just can't do it lol. But the quality is good for the food and most times make it correctly for the changes I request.”

“I have never ordered from this location before, so after placing my order online, I GPS how to get there. I was clueless as to where the location was because it brought me to Saint Francis Hospital. After asking around I was informed that I had to go inside the hospital because Panera was in there. Finally after parking and walking all the way down the road I found it! ( not knowing I could had parked closer ? ) Once I got there, I picked up my online order and I wanted some bakery goodies while I was there. This amazing woman named Christine was helping me out and giving me suggestions as to what tastes amazing as everything there looks great. Now if you want to talk about next level service, after getting so excited for these goodies I was bringing home, I realized I did not have my card or phone to pay with. I didn’t want to walk another 10 minutes down the road and then 10 minutes back there to get these goodies so I just told her forget it I won’t bother getting them . Christine graciously offered to take care of it for me and I was so aesthetic. No one‘s ever done something like that for me. “I came across Semilla cafe this past weekend after a yoga session in Hartford and I’m very glad I did. I snagged a hot Ovaltine with oat milk which was a really nice malted hot chocolate flavor, plus a lemon bar that was very good. While all that is enough to go back I also found a gem in their store side of things where they had a bacon jam. Since the food stand is inside Parkville Market, I had to save some room, so I ordered my appetizers from here. Honestly, I wanted to order everything. Once the food was ready I picked it up and brought it to our picnic table. Parkville Market has a trendy, mall food court ambiance to it.First off, I ordered the crab rangoons and chicken poppers. The crab rangoons were just the way I like it, thin wonton wrapper and a creamy robust filling of cream cheese, imitation crab, etc. The dipping sauce is sweet chili which paired well with it. I also ordered the chicken poppers to share with my spouse and toddler; my toddler devoured 99% of it, which is saying a lot because he's picky. The poppers were crispy and had lots of flavors; it came with a spicy mayo type sauce. We were there early so I didn't have to wait in a line and the food came out in 5 minutes. Overall a good experience and I can't wait to try their other items.”

We were afraid and felt safer walking home (in Hartford that says something) rather than staying put. We loved everything that they offered (hardo bread, beef patty, coco bread, plantain tart and so on). When I said we liked EVERYTHING, I mean it. Everything was on point!! Yesterday was my first time (and last time) going into Scott's in about a decade plus. It is clear that management has changed (if not management, something has gone horribly wrong). The shell of the patty was beyond thick and there was little meat in it. The coco bread was beyond disgusting! It was a flavorless clump of undercooked dough. You know how coco bread is supposed to taste. It didn't taste like that at all. It seems as though they've cut corners on their peanut punch which had a gell-like texture. The BEST part of everything that I purchased was the Cola Champagne. As long as they continue to use the same distributor they can't mess that up. Maybe they had a bad day. I won't be spending money to find out.”

We should have stopped there but couldn't resist the generous burger topped with cheese, bacon and LTON. Service was great from the host stand to the waitstaff and the cook.
