I can't say what I like best, because it is all delicious. I usually get the enchiladas huertenas because I can't decide if the mole, red sauce, or green sauce is better; they are all equally wonderful. So are their tender, flavorful tamales. even their chips & salsa are a cut above. Pickup during the pandemic is fast and painless, which we appreciate.
One of the best places to have some really wonderful sumptuous mexican meal, portions were just right, the staff were extremely cordial and warm.Ambience was just also good

Monte Alban is a hidden gem restaurant on Farmington Ave, serving delicious, authentic Mexican food. The owners are from Oaxaca and have run the restaurant for 25 years. The menu is extensive, with perfectly cooked and seasoned fish, delicious Flautas, tacos exactly how they should be, perfect nachos supreme loaded with everything on every chip, and a beef chimichanga. Everything is fresh and flavorful. The customer service is amazing, with friendly staff and a great overall experience. It is a cozy, pleasant place with outdoor tables. Prices are very reasonable for the ambience, service, and quantity and quality of food. It is a new favorite spot for many, including frequent flyers for many years. However, delivery through DoorDash can take over an hour, so picking up is recommended.
