“Was there Monday night for dinner and it was amazing from the bread service to the apps drinks dinner and dessert got the bone in ny sirloin cooked to perfection and my friend got the short rib pasta special minus the short rib bc she is a Vegetarian they wete more than happy to accommodate and her food was equally as delicious!!“

“I'm new to Hartford Connecticut I've lived here less than a year. I also don't really drink ever. Lately I've wanted to be social so I check this place out. The people I've met here for the most part are really great people easy to talk to and it's a laid-back place. I really like it here I think you might too. 😁“

“Eclectic menu. While not extensive, there is variety with daily specials. We started with the dumplings and chili with beans. Dumplings and sauce for dipping quite flavorful in the best way. The chili was not too hot, and a hot sauce offered we we wanted more heat. The pasta and red was plentiful and delicious.“
“There are very few places left in America where time has been successfully argued with. The Hartford Club, tucked behind a white Corinthian portico on Prospect Street in the long shadow of the Travelers tower, is one of them.
The Mark Twain Lounge is the main event. Floor-to-ceiling dark paneling, iron ring chandeliers throwing amber light into the upper corners, leaded diamond-glass windows that turn afternoon sun into something quieter and older. A properly mounted elk presides over the room with the authority of a founding partner. The leather club chairs have earned their patina. The crystal is heavy. The ashtrays are serious.
And yes, you can smoke inside. Legally. One of the last rooms in Connecticut where this is true, operating under a grandfathered exemption from the 2003 Clean Indoor Air Act. The humidor cabinet in the corner is well-stocked and the service knows what it's doing. A flat screen somewhere in the paneling was showing basketball, which felt less like a concession and more like evidence the club has decided comfort and tradition aren't mutually exclusive.
The history earns its keep rather than just decorating the walls. Mark Twain was a charter member in 1873 and rabid Davidof smoker. The building itself, designed by Andrews, Jaques & Rantoul and completed in 1903, is on the National Register, intentionally scaled just above a private residence to signal institution without losing the feeling of a home.

“First time coming here after an epic fail at Babes , and they were 9/10. No major complaints, location great, parking was good. Set up, music, service very good. Tiny wait time for food but music was so good and the food was amazing it made up for it. Will definitely be going again!“

“The food there is amazingly amazing 😄. I stop there occasionally for breakfast. One of my go it meal is the Kingfish. When i say it is well seasoned. Finger lickking good. The server has a wonderful personality aswell. Wonderful personality + great food. The perfect combination. Please pay them a visit you will be impressed.“

“One of my all time favorite spots . Hands down beats all the local competition for seafood . Drinks are amazing ?? Two favorite’s are coconut shrimp app ? and seafood boil combo Reels catch seasoned garlic butter the flavor is great and seafood is fresh not too mention the atmosphere of the Resturant , the waitstaff are very pleasant and seems to enjoy the work they do & knowledgeable on the seafood . It’s def an experience , so if ur ever in the area I suggest u stop by u won’t be disappointed .“
